Nick Chubb is All-America. The All-America teams will show him on it. He is a true freshman. He has this year, 2015, 2016 and 2017 if he wants. I think he may want.
A memorable season has come to an end. The Georgia Bulldogs ate up and spat out Todd Grantham and Bobby Petrino, who could find no QB on their roster, while Brice Ramsey showed the effects of not being prepared as I called for for him all season.
After the game, Nick Chubb was asked about his performance and he said it was about his team, not him. They blocked for him and got him the ball. He just did his job. Nick Chubb has long-established he gives the best interviews. So, ESPN asked about the future for UGA, and Nick actually for the 1st time, was caught by surprise by that question. Is it bright ? No real answer.
Hutson Mason was releasing the ball in an over throw to the end zone, and was slammed to the grass surface and his head bounced. John Lilly had rolled him out when it seemed the pocket protection was this year, awesome all year. Run blocking by this veteran OL who loses only the center, was also spectacular this season. Still, Hutson Mason was asked to roll-out to his right and throw toward the end zone. He was on an island.
Hutson Mason stated he had a concussion and everything was spinning. If you have never had a concussion, the first is recognizable. You have no idea where you are. Everything is light. You are light-headed. It takes some time, which the NCAA does not allow, to play-on. He did anyway, not telling anyone. But, he had no idea where he was or what he was doing when Nick Chubb had his memorable TD run. The hit happened when it was 13-7, having settled for 2 field goals. There was the Chris Conley beautiful post route. How does Louisville have safety on the play and coverage, and the route so adroitly run that he is wide open by 10-yards. To Hutson Mason’s credit, he hit him in stride. You could see Chris Conley get his feet right, something Brice Ramsey needs a lot of work on as detailed on this blog all season long about him, before hauling in the give-me TD reception.
Hutson Mason was dazed and confused, and led UGA Passing attack the only QB to play all season, to # 87 Passing Offense all 2014 season nationally. Not good. Not respectable. Hutson Mason did beat Mike Bobo’s 1997 season, a season I’ve pointed out to you ever since. Why he was out there with no protection, God only knows, but that was the play call. John Lilly is a Tight End’s coach here who only played QB by trade himself, and not an offensive coordinator, and he did not make this game plan. But, he did his job to fill-in, and that is good on his resume; although Mark Richt must go hire a top offensive coordinator since obviously he does not care to take over calling plays as he did when we were great 2001-2005.
2006, he started transitioning to the now demotion Mike Bobo takes to the # 92 University nationally US News and World Report ranking as top colleges in Fort Collins Colorado. Fort Collins is quite the growing city and Colorado State University is quite large actually, but they are a horrible football program. And, they always have been, with a losing record all-time in 1,040 games with only 470 wins.
Kurt Roper would be a fine choice.
Mark Richt will not hire him.
Mark Richt is trying to let John Lilly take over as O.C.
Anything, but call the plays himself.
He does not care.
Speaking of which, how in the Hell does he have a such a suntan December 30 ?
Was he on vacation in the tropics at the end of the season while we lost 2 and won 3 ?
The year, 2014, started off poorly off-field with what ended-up 16 arrested/suspended/kicked-off. And, the season got no better start than to beat an impressive Clemson, who just doesn’t have a QB – although I identified one in the game, and pointed it out in my review of that game found by clicking calendar on home page and seeing all the posts here on this blog by date they were written. As the season turned-out, Clemson took my advice at QB and is quite good right now.
They still need a running game.
Many of the teams at the bottom of the polls will drop-out. LSU comes to mind, and so too does this team Louisville, although they might hang-on utterly demolished by UGA on a day Hutson Mason and Brice Ramsey made 12 of 18 on 3rd down conversions against supposedly the # 2 best rush defense nationally. Louisville played no one. Well, the teams they played, all beat them. Clemson beat Chokelahoma like a red-headed step child. Mark Richt beat Todd Grantham, who hate each other and everything each represents, 37-14.
3 TD and a field goal Mark Richt beat Todd Grantham.
Mark Richt never liked Todd Grantham to begin with and only chose him because he was told to. He did so against his own better wishes and better judgment. He quickly criticized everything Todd Grantham ever said or did here.
There is little difference in that hate relationship and the hate relationship now enjoyed by Mark Richt as well with Greg McGarity. Greg McGarity is happy to finally have his 2nd bowl win, albeit finding only 2 SEC teams played on days’ prior to our own weenie bowl on a night of 31 degrees and a 7 mph wind from the NE. It was cold. Nick Chubb will be drafted higher than Todd Gurley II, because well, he is a workhorse and tireless and thankless at his task. That would be a factor that he did well in such cold condition for the NFL to rate him higher, since football is a winter sport, called Fall Sport.
NFL Winter Sport for sure with the cities up North.
After football, I played basketball and lettered as well. Then, the 3rd season, I lettered in track and field and also in baseball as the starting catcher my junior and senior seasons. This season has come to an end, and hopefully the off-season will not be like last year.
Mark Richt needs to get on the stick and hire Kurt Roper. He will pause and think of John Lilly. It is what he does. He just doesn’t care. If he did, he would call the games, himself. It is his Calling actually. Well, his second Calling.
Mark Richt has been fit to be tied. He cares about his suntan, but he has been fit to be tied for some time now. It is his own fault for not preparing once again his back-up QB.
Jacob Park gets a shot at the job now. Brice Ramsey has taken 2 steps back in recent games. He and Hutson Mason should have both thrown 2 more picks each. Louisville just had not played anyone. Certainly not with our talent.
Make no mistake about it, it was bitter cold. Some guys can play in the cold. Some cannot. It is a mindset, as I see it. Your task at hand, you focus in, or you are destroyed by the 7 mph wind. If it were slightly warmer, as New Year Day’s Bowls in Florida hint hint, then, the 7 mph wind or even the same temperature would not be so bad. But, this was cold. Bitter.
If you step outside in cold, you get a feel, but you have to imagine yourself in the mountains for the weekend, and nowhere to hide from it. It gets old, and you need to warm-up. A football game of 3 hours with break inside halfway, one can get one’s mind right about the cold. For that period of time.
We did and Louisville, a itty-bitty city of Healthcare really is up North.
Charlotte is certainly not down South.
Raleigh is 8 hours from us and quite North.
Nick Chubb had a task at-hand. He was in a zone, and remained there through his interviews.
All-America Nick Chubb
I am so proud of Nick Chubb.
I hope that you all are enjoying your holidays, and that at least for you, they were not mostly just discussion as with ours of Mark Richt and where his head is consistently. Tonight on this cold evening, Georgia showed what it is capable of, albeit against a team likely to be removed from some Top 25 Polls for the season, having beat no one. Still, they find a QB, and they might well be a team who can beat Clemson and FSU, the only 2 teams in the stinking ACC with their stinking bowl record, Louisville adding to that. All-Time Louisville does not even have a winning bowl record.
Notre Dame does not either.
28-19-3, now, Georgia is one of the top bowl teams, despite Mark Richt having lost 3 of our previous 4.
This was the shot in the arm we needed.
Obviously, Mark Richt is going to give Brice Ramsey the 1st right to refusal to the QB job. I’d personally consider this the right time to begin my call for Jacob Park to get more play next season than afforded strong-armed Brice Ramsey. He really has shown the rust from not playing now for two years. How you can have a QB of his caliber and put him in that position at this critical juncture of his growing life that he has not played at all really for 2 entire seasons now, is a question for Christian Mark Richt. He plays Favorites. He always has.
He is quite stubborn, a trait not normally noted about Christians, but can be in circumstances where the Christian thinks his does not stink.
Or, that his lot in life is to run others’ life for them. I believe they screwed-up their own life and have no Calling to screw-up others’ as well.
If you want to do something : Do it; do not tell me how to live my life.
I reserve that right to screw-up my own on my own, and my own way.
No one has ever told me what to do.
No one ever will.
If that your lot in life to tell others how to live their life, good luck.
All the best.
But, you are FOS to do so.
And, will fare no better than anyone else with me.
I know you are wrong to do so, and you probably know that yourself.
But, you do it anyway, because well, that makes you feel superior. I mean, well, you’ve thought about it, and this is what is right to you right now – so, you share it; but, you do not stop there : You feel obligated to ram it down everyone else’s throat how they should follow your lead.
You might change your mind.
Then, we must follow that new lead in your own direction.
Just let me be.
I am not here to live up to your expectations.
I’ve thought about it. I choose what I choose because well I get one go-round.
You shall not live my life for me.
This is where Todd Grantham got off on the wrong foot with Mark Richt.
This is where everyone has felt the need to correct Bobby Petrino – nothing but a little shit himself.
I on the other hand, you see, am quite fed-up with the
OFF-SEASON BULLSHIT BY UGA FANS OF HOW GREAT WE ARE
followed by the results of losing to far less-talented teams and ending up losing to 3 such this season alone, not to even begin to mention the 16 arrested/suspended/kicked-off. If Louisville does as I think next season, it will be because of our players in this category.
Why are they in no trouble up there ?
Is it because they are lax ?
Or, we were lax ?
Harsh punishment : Yes, by all means !
But, we turned our backs on them when they needed us most, and we failed to teach them to obey the rules, prior.
Is someone teaching them to obey the rules, there ?
The police had no problems here finding them, and there no different.
Here they were Forgiven.
Loved when they bad. Sent all the wrong signals at all the wrong times. Not taught to obey the rules, therefore. It is our Achilles’ heel.
And, so another off-season begins.
One with great promise for the future of a few and others, well the end.
A time when standing-pat once again, will just not get it.
But, without the sour taste in our mouths we had until tonight in the cold.
Todd Grantham is tossing and turning.
On a night they had no QB, our quarterbacks were woeful, but converted 3rd down two-thirds of the time. Funny how that works. 2/3 of the time lose in football, and you are an also ran. In baseball, the greatest ever at the plate, and in football for the game, the winner.
Or, the loser failing that.
We racked-up 505 yards of offense, 305 on the ground against the # 2 best rushing defense nationally.
Our OL tore them a new one every play. Nick Chubb had a Thanksgiving Feast of cardinal stew.
1-0 all-time now thanks to Nick Chubb.
Let’s get out our crystal ball, shall we ?
Mark Richt will drag his feet on his OC and lean towards John Lilly promote from within. Brag on the plays he neither designed, the OL he neither recruited or trained, the running back he neither recruited or trained, and the game plan he also neither came-up with nor the plays themselves he conceived. He will be bragged about 37-14, not Nick Chubb All-America, then promoted.
A special teams’ coach will not then be hired.
To fill that old position of John Lilly.
Tight Ends’ Coach who knows nothing about Tight Ends.
Quarterback by trade, his Calling may well have been to ultimately be OC, but he has no experience wasting his time teaching that which he knows not, Tight Ends. When what you do your whole entire time is but tight ends, you well might learn something about that, but you certainly are not honing your skills to conjure up not an antiquated offense, as our own. And, this what Mark Richt wants. It is his team. You call plays here, you will call the plays 10 years’ ago he designed and since we’ve run.
10 years’ ago, it worked.
Now, we need new vision.
Not the antiquated one conjured up by a then vibrant young man, who since just doesn’t care, or he would take over play-calling duties himself – by far our best option since we were great then. Elite. Losing to the likes of 7-win South Carolina and 6-win Florida ( who did not lose 6 games, yet.) and # 52 recruits of Georgie tek, is most certainly
We have not been elite since Mark Richt last called our plays.
We got a sniff of what this season might have been with a QB to complement the running game tonight, but unfortunately, Brice Ramsey was only allowed to throw
24 this season
24 is all we had Brice Ramsey complete all season, and that includes coming-in the 2nd quarter of this game and playing exclusively there after. He was poor as a result.
When all you are allowed to do in a 15-game season for the top teams of which we are not one because of this, is to complete 24 passes, you are not in the least able to come in and play a top defense, rated that way without beating anyone or not.
Buck Belue, he played tonight. He had to. For one, we were ahead 13-7 when Hutson Mason suffered his career-ending concussion, and 20-7 when he came in for him. For two, he was not prepared by Mike Bobo and Mark Richt. Damn it, you have to play your freaking back-up quarterbacks.
How many times, do I have to tell you the same basic precepts of college football ?
Brice Ramsey looked like shit out there tonight and it all is because he has not played at all in 2 years’ time of 24 passes. That’s one completion per month for 2 entire freaking years, for God’s Sake !
Get Jacob Park in in game 1 and let him throw the damn ball, live.
Don’t tell us all off-season how great Brice Ramsey is, or is not, and teach him instead how to throw the football by placing his feet in a throwing position. He has not done that since he got here. When he does, he will be sent directly to the NFL. He will anyway, and they will re-teach him that. Obviously, we’re incapable of that. John Lilly can teach him that.
We converted less than half our 3rd downs for the season, against a weak-ass schedule with the likes at running back The University of Ground Attack has never seen.
Well, we all saw it this year and it was great fun. But, Good Lord Above, had we not had the # 88 Passing Offense to complement it, defenses would not have keyed on our stable of Tailbacks. We had so many Tailbacks of great stature that even injuries, suspensions, and repeated over use of them individually with all the talent behind him sitting no the bench fresh and foaming at the bit to carry once, JJ Green quit the team, himself quite a two-way player for us who was jerked around by us, mismanaging our roster.
As we continue to do.
Nick Chubb needed to set the all-time record 266 yards ? Or, should have been taken out to great fanfare, short of that ? Win by 3 TD and a Field Goal or by a Field Goal and 2 TD ? That was the question. Again, Mark Richt left in his star tailback.
Inexcusable how we failed to prepare a back-up QB for this contingency and complement our tailbacks with a real QB with a real arm. And, inexcusable how we mismanaged our tailbacks, veritable plethora of embarrassing riches at tailback behind one of our best OL ever.
Certainly of the Mark Richt era.
And, so 29 losses for 7 seasons despite the embarrassing wealth of talent.
More than 4 losses a season. Yes, 9 seasons of 10-wins out of 14, however more than 4 losses the latest most current 7 seasons when these are 15-game seasons for the top teams. 10 wins ? Shit.
There are 30 teams who end this season with 10-win seasons. Most did not lose to 3 teams far less talented.
You will be watching them play.
They play, ALL OF THEM, after us this bowl season.
And, with the season ending, we have a I told you so.
To those few brave enough to utter as we went along that I was all wrong on the team’s direction and the documented problems on-going between Greg McGarity and Mark Richt, guess what ?
I told you so.
As to the off-season bullshit by our fan base of our greatness ?
I told you so.
We beat some good teams, and played none of the great teams.
But, we lost ladies and gentlemen to three (3) teams far less talented, all 3 of whom were we supposed to beat and handily.
2 of them, sucked.
The lone remaining loss besides 2 sucky teams was # 52 avg recruiting rank to our # 9. We had all 3 games won. The QB cost us all 3 losses. The same one who lost to Nebraska last bowl game, another unranked team.
Mark Richt really wants a puppet O.C. so he can closet call the plays, like he has been doing. But, he doesn’t care anymore or he would’ve updated this offense. And, he doesn’t care, or he would have called the plays all his career here instead of 2001-2005 when we were great.
So ends a season of no bananas as I promised before it started, and for the reasons I promised as well.
We go into the off-season with a top recruiting class coming-in. About # 8 I calculate we will find our class ranked. It has no QB; that’s the year after next. Will he be a 4-year starter ? I called for one this season. We failed because we did not.
In the end, we were forced to bring in someone else and he has 24 passes now he’s had in 2 years’ worth of time. Friq. Aaron Murray threw that many in 1 quarter.
We shall see at QB, as OC, as TE coach when we do not throw the ball any longer in our out-of-date offense to TE anymore, as to whether TE Coach is instead Special Teams’ Coach, and how many arrested/suspended/kicked-off will kill our season next season, not nearly as kind a schedule as this wasted season.
But, a season that for a change ends on a high note. For that, we’re thankful.
We did not have interceptions, sacks and fumbles for a change in this old-style basic offense. We should have suffered a lot of interceptions but our schedule weak-ass, and our opponents all dropped them. We fumbled a fair bit, but did not lose them. And, when we sacked, they were all in games against weak-ass teams who game planned that they would make Hutson Mason beat them. Louisville did not do that tonight. They never could stop Nick Chubb.
We need wrinkles on offense.
Isaiah Mackenzie was conspicuously missing. That just # 16 for the season, and no one would say why.
But. Faton Bauta did not play and he can play many positions.
Tramel Terry made a bone-jarring tackle on special teams.
Zach DeBell, as it turns out did not play – so, there’s that.
Ray Drew, Starter the last 11 games, body slammed a poor whiny little guy.
Leonard Floyd had surgery.
JJ Green did not play, but we would not have played him anyway – jerking him around like so many.
Toby Johnson did not start, but was hero.
Tim Kimbrough did not start once all season. Our linebackers were that good, because this man can get the job done.
Keith Marshall gets another medical year. He was rushed back when obviously he was not ready and still compensating. We have so many tailbacks, JJ Green left over it.
Quincy Mauger who started 7 games including the last 3, we will have to find out about his injury.
Sony Michel started against Louisville and would have battled Nick Chubb for the honors this game had not our special teams needlessly away from the ball not involved, tackled Louisville defender from the back. Damn it. We did that shit all season.
So, it does not look like there were any other suspensions.
Might move up but not making any Top 10 – don’t deserve it.
On to basketball, baseball, recruiting signings, G-Day Game, new QB we got an unfair glimpse of not prepared at all with 24 passes the latest 2 years’ period here, and an off-season of standing pat – like 29 losses great these latest 7 years.
2nd Half of the Mark Richt era shows us with 29 losses, an entire third to unranked teams.
Half the teams we lost to latest 29 losses, nowhere considered better.
The ACC drops to 3-5 this bowl season, like they always do.
LSU gave away their game for SEC only loss.
The big bowl games are in 2 days’ time. The day before New Year, and New Year’s Day.
We were ahead 41-39. We lost by 19. We could not shoot the ball and rather than getting the ball inside to our big men, we kept shooting and shooting and shooting and missing. It was not their defense, because we missed all kinds of free throws, again, today. I had to listen to the game on the Internet live by going to http://www.georgiadogs.com/collegesportslive/?media=467565
It was not pretty.
Now, the flight back from Newark, and thankfully that is not too bad. Next game is SEC season opener Friday. I would not want to be Mississippi State.
We made less than a third of our shots today. You will not win any games against anyone shooting like that.
Shacobia Barbee was 1 of 7 from the field.
Marjorie Butler had more turnovers than assists. She also missed all her shots from the field. I am sorry Marjorie but this was a team already in the Top 25 RPI and we’re not. You cannot have that kind of a game. We might have to turn to some younger players at point.
You really haven’t done much there, and you’ve been here a while now.
5 players came in off the bench to do something about the game, lost on a 2-25 run. How do we score 2 points while giving up 25 when you are ahead ladies ?
Very disappointing listening to the game.
Pachis Roberts is the only bench player who came in and did not throw gasoline on the fire.
Get the ball inside when the gym is that old and the rims that unkind.
Figure it out.
Pass the ball to someone who can shoot.
You did not pass the ball to Krista Donald, any of you. Not once. I am smarter than that.
Tabatha Richardson-Smith for Seton Hall had half as many field goals herself as the entire starting 5 and all the bench players for us.
She was lights out at both ends of the court shooting the ball. We never covered her.
We need to bring in a scoring threat.
Andy Landers was fit to be tied.
There was no string he could pull.
GATA Lady Bulldogs.
Just because this is about the only game not on TV, is no reason to mail it in.
This is the wrong time of the year for this type of performance, and it will cost you in the polls, while Seton Hall is going to move up into the Top 25 Polls along with their Top 25 RPI.
This loss is going to cost us in NCAA Tournament seeding.
Blown-out in New York.
I think I would have told you on the flight up that the winning team wins a free dinner on Mulberry Street Little Italy. I wonder if the NCAA allows that, if it were my team ?
It would have cost $5,000 and would have delayed us getting home. As it is the short flight was a long flight home.
And, from my favorite city, you did not even get to see.
Those there saw you, and you looked like the gals from New York play better basketball than us.
A lot better.
Better get with it.
If the starting 5 are jacking it up and missing, do not come-in off the bench and do more of the same.
Figure it out.
Surely you know who can hit their shots, right ?
Dish the ball.
Drive the lane.
Do not foul.
Andy Landers does not have a losing record against many teams, and this is a team we might well face in the NCAA Tourney, now a losing record against Seton Hall – despite the men knocking-off their men, here the other day.
We do not shoot the ball very well.
I can shoot better than that. You should be ashamed of yourselves that you shoot that poorly. Don’t you practice the shots you are going to take in the game ?
Practice them some more and don’t take shots you are not practicing.
Basketball is a game where you throw the ball through the hoop.
Well, it’s off to Starkville 4pm Friday the 2nd, and that game is not on TV either.
The rest will be.
I guess that is the only consolation to 12-1 record is that the game was not on TV.
Have a purpose when you shoot the ball, please ladies.
Jeff Schultz states here that Mark Richt’s more than 4 losses a year for 7 years now is less than fulfilling, but generally isn’t something to complain about . I am sorry Jeff Schultz but MORE than four (4+) losses per season the latest 7 years for Mark Richt is sorry, sir. Less than fulfilling ? Piss poor coaching. Mighty piss poor, sir. 29 losses after 2007 sucks, Jeff Schultz. It is # 20 in won/lost. UGA All-Time since 1892 is Top 10 All-Time Wins’ Program. We have averaged the # 9 Scout.com Recruiting Ranking which is 2nd best nationally in the Mark Richt era since 2001. This is verified by the 81 NFL Draft Picks Mark Richt era for us, also 2nd best nationally. Southern California has averaged a better recruiting class since 2001 and has more NFL Draft Picks since 2001. No SEC team, or anyone else – has.
Yet, we are # 20 in won/lost record after 2007.
What is wrong with this picture ?
If coaching is getting more from less, then Jeff Schultz, sir, he is doing a very poor job of coaching; and it is doing so badly. Isn’t it Jeff Schultz, sir ?
That’s just wrong, sir.
I feel no need to kowtow to Mark Richt for press conferences, and if I did I would feel like I had a conflict of interests, to not report that which is the truth, sir.
The vast majority of the UGA Bulldogs’ fans feel this way. All Thanksgiving and now all Christmas it’s all anyone has talked about.
And, the losses. Good Heavens the losses have been devastating sir. 3 teams this season beat us, none of the 3 anywhere near us in talent. Proven talent. Verified proven talent. We waste talent, Jeff Schultz, sir. You know that. The thoughts of everyone all Thanksgiving and now all Christmas is that EVERYONE KNOWS Mark Richt should have taken Todd Gurley II out of the damn game, not trying to increase with 5 minutes to go a 3 TD lead to a 4 TD lead. It does not even bear witnessing that he had the 100-yard kick-off return which was called back which kept him from starting the game. Nor, that he had 138 yards on the most carries ever in his career, already, too. Nor that he had NOT played in 6 weeks’ time from Oct 5 to Nov 15. All this, not to MENTION TOO, he ALREADY was injured in the game and compensating for that. How about the bitter cold in that wind, that maybe the tipping of the scale to sit TGII down for Georgie tek ?
Squib kick ?
Damn it, you learn that as a head coach coaching Pop Warner football.
Up by 3 on great play, and here we throw the game away giving them the bloody damned ball at the 43-yard line.
That is as kind as I can be on that “decision.”
Handed the ball 1st and goal from the 4 on the interception the South Carolina fans were so sure would do them in that they covered the end zone, covered it, with debris. And, we call a play/action fake ? Are you kidding me ? Hutson Mason has rushed for nothing all season or last year or ever. He is slow. He has poor arm strength and cannot throw the football through the end zone from the 4-yard line.
Worst call I ever saw given the situation and Todd Gurley II already record-setting performance in this game against this team.
When do you USE your talent and when do you NOT ?
This guy has no clue.
I still say TGII has a lawsuit he needs to make against Mark Richt, personally. Mark Richt owes TGII.
South Carolina won only 6 games, this 15-game season for the top teams. Everyone beat them.
Florida won only 6 games, this 15-game season for the top teams. Everyone beat them, too.
Georgie tek averages # 52 recruiting ranking, and we # 9.
Now, get up there and interview Jere Morehead. Ok ? Obviously Greg McGarity doesn’t care how many losses we pile up and how many arrested/suspended/kicked-off we add.
God Almighty Damn, son !
Less than fulfilling, but generally isn’t something to complain about ?
How can I put this delicately for you Jeff Schultz ?
How about bullshit.
Just say no.
No, this coach is not getting the job done and more and more now even the staunch Mark Richt Supporters have abandoned ranks, and said :
I HAVE BEGUN TO LOSE FAITH IN MARK RICHT NOW IT HAS GONE ON SO LONG – 7 YEARS !
As for Mark Richt calling the plays, great thought !
We were far better back then when he did. We recruited fullbacks. We signed long lists of OL. We tried to do something on special teams too since he coached those as well Now, we fair catch, kick-off short, and basically act as if we do not care. Therefore, I submit humbly that Mark Richt does not care. He will not call the plays because he does not care, anymore. He used to. Back then, he had an 81 % win percentage. Not now. Not after 2007. After 2007, it is win 2 games lose 1, win 2, lose 1, win 2, lose 1. 67 percent win percentage with the losses
I see too, that yet another is now missing for the bowl game. Isaiah Mackenzie is the 16th Bulldog arrested/suspended/kicked-off 2014.
71 all he has to play in the bowl game. He’s lost 3 of the latest 4 bowl games. He signed 118 scholarship recruits to LOI who with a redshirt season would be playing in this bowl game which finds only 2 other SEC teams playing before us this Christmas Season. Sad.
I am surprised that no one at the AJ-C has written a year in review which details this. Just lonely little I have made any effort to detail ALL the attrition – just in 2014.
There is no solace in any of this, losing to lesser teams.
Getting less with more.
God Almighty Jeff Schultz, sir.
Wake up !
I believe Mark Richt’s problems are his religion. He’s more interested in that than he is coaching the damn football team. There is something we adhere to more important than winning ?
Bullshit there is.
Now, if you want to be a bloody damn preacher man, then, yes there is something more important than winning we adhere to here at UGA.
NOT if you are our football coach taking three and one-half million from me annually, telling us with your lips your Calling is to be football coach.
If your Calling is to be damned preacher man, then go do that, and then – you’re right that there is something more important around here we adhere to here at UGA than winning.
How can you be such a dumbass that even I can see it, and not you, Jeff Schultz ?
There is no borderline to it, and Greg McGarity’s hires have been awful. His wishy-washy interviews do nothing but cause huge issues, such as the Mark Bradley hour and half just days’ ago now, where he said lots of stuff that made Mark Richt look bad. You will note, of course, that Mark Richt has made no comment on anything Greg McGarity said in that 2-page interview, which you can find in detail on my blog. Jere Morehead has been a do nothing say nothing president who sent me an e-mail personally telling me about his budget also with a URL Link – while neither the e-mail nor the URL Link said anything.
We’ve lost 29 games after 2007, an average of MORE than 4 losses a season. Folks wanting to talk about number of wins need to instead look at the losses – less talented teams beat us ALL THE TIME NOWADAYS. In 15-game seasons for the top teams, Mark Richt averages for seven (7) entire seasons now, 9 wins and MORE than 4 losses.
We have serious issues, such as purse strings where we do not build indoor practice facility like Todd Grantham has pointed out to this very day, and our stadium is being passed-up by many other programs in The SEC in seating capacity – the lifeblood of our Top 10 All-Time Wins’ Program.
We were the # 87 Passing Offense all 2014.
We lost to 3 lousy teams, none of the 3 with anywhere near our talent, 2 of whom only won 6 games – with everyone else beating them but not us.
This is what goes on nowadays.
The bad press continues and we lose quite a bit from our team, and have been losing too many off the team – down to only 72 of the 118 Mark Richt signed to great fanfare, who with a redshirt season all 118 would’ve been playing in the bowl game now. The bowl games show we’ve lost 3 of 4, and now this one finds only two (2) SEC teams playing before us.
There is something more important than winning we adhere to here at UGA ? Huh ?
SEC Network should be showing live games. Big games. Seton Hall is supposed to beat The Lady Bulldogs, and in years’ past, a 12-0 UGA facing an 11-1 Seton Hall, both top basketball teams this year, would be televised. Why isn’t it ?
The game is at Seton Hall.
Seton Hall is # 35 and The Lady Bulldogs are # 16 in the polls.
In the RPI, Seton Hall is higher ranked than The Lady Bulldogs.
The nasty tackle under the basket in the last game of Shacobia Barbee was shaken-off by the resilient leader of our team, and she turned in a stellar performance last night in our win scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds, an assist, a block and 3 steals including 2 of 4 from 3-point range. She does this every game, but I was worried when driving to the basket a brute left her man and got underneath the basket to tackle her hard to floor, knocking her out of the game.
Erika Ford is our stellar 6th man, but she had a tough night last night. Mackenzie Engram really took up the slack, and really had her head into the game. Andy Landers is bringing along Mackenzie Engram in fantastic fashion, and much is expected from her in The SEC Schedule which begins Friday January 2.
That is why it is so important that the SEC Network do its job. A game between a Top 25 RPI at their house and UGA # 16 in all the polls absolutely should be on TV for our fans. I count 27 games which The Lady Bulldogs will be on TV 2014-2015 season alone, but not this one ?
Mackenzie Engram made half her shots, and had 7 rebounds, including 3 on the offensive glass in 14 minutes as the top 6th man last night. She added a steal and only had 2 fouls called. The Lady Bulldogs rely heavily on their 6th and 7th man to come off the bench with top-notch performances. In SEC action, it will be even more critical. But, Seton Hall is better than many SEC teams, which is saying something because The SEC is tough.
South Carolina is unanimous # 1 in AP Poll and Coaches’ Poll and # 12 in the RPI, facing nowhere near the out-of-conference schedule Andy Landers schedules our tough gals every year. I remain very disappointed overall with the SEC Network not carrying live SEC games of top teams.
What are they thinking ?
# 1 South Carolina
# 4 Texas A & M
# 8 Kentucky
# 13 Tennessee finally showing the signs I expected last year
# 16 Georgia Lady Bulldogs who I really want to beat the vols
# 22 Mississippi State rounds out The SEC Top 25 and we play them next.
Tiaria Griffin had 11 points and 3 big rebounds in our win last night, while Merritt Hempe and Krista Donald chipped-in 9 each down low. Marjorie Butler had 7 points and seems to be getting more and more consistent each game now with 6 assists to only 2 turnovers at point.
13-man rotation, Andy Landers is developing a lot of depth right now in what is a grueling schedule. It’s imperative that the 13-man rotation comes in ready and hitting. I can assure you this, when all 13 come in, they play defense and hustle.
We missed a few foul shots last night, which is not what we have been doing. We need to get back to making it from the charity stripe. We only made two-thirds of our free throws, which is not good.
Our defense, as everyone knows, is quite good as last night we held our opponent to less than 33 percent from the field for the game. Outstanding !
That is what wins you basketball games, moving your feet, keeping your eye on the ball and your hands ready. That does not change, whether you are playing Belmont, Seton Hall, or Mississippi State.
Seton Hall lost to West Virginia who is # 20 in the rankings, but is undefeated at their house where they host us. And, RPI says Seton Hall beats The Lady Bulldogs Sunday. There should be a lot of motivation for us in that prediction.
This is the mark of Andy Landers’ teams, always. It is what he teaches.
While we really need an Indoor Practice Facility for football and other sports, I really wish we would get with it and break ground on that and a new gym so that The NCAA will let us host tournaments again, which we have not done in 4 decades now.
I dated a gal on LSU’s basketball team, but she could never beat me on my own court.
Mulberry Street is where to go when you are up there. I eat there on Mulberry Street exclusively when in town, which is frequently. Little Italy. I know the place like the back of my hand, so when Seton Hall said their gym is on Mulberry Street, I told them : No. No, it’s not.
It seats 18,711 for basketball and is not in New York City, but Newark on Mulberry Street there. There is a great diner our team could go to there, one I have tried all 150 entre items. Yum !
Don’t really care much for their attitude up there, or their accent; or that they ask me always do you really eat grits ? But, their restaurants are all wonderful fare.
We have great restaurants too, but they have a lot more.
This is where you normally can watch the games on TV as well. Hint, hint, SEC Network. The content is over on ESPN, with URL Link here.
The Rolling Stones have played there. The NCAA had the NCAA Final 4 there. The NBA has held its Draft there. They allow single game betting in New Jersey (go to Las Vegas – please), so the NCAA will not be having anymore Tournaments there. The President has spoken here recently, and the Eagles played there.
Seton Hall is long. Very long. Lots of long players and plenty of them to run-out against us. They are young.
Anthony Bozzella is Seton Hall’s coach, and he’s had his issues in previous seasons, which surprises me Andy Landers is supposed to lose to him.
They cannot win in the Big East, and Georgia is certainly every bit as good as those in that league, and a better team than our counterpart in the Big East.
Seton Hall’s women’s basketball team plays instead at Walsh Gymnasium which seats only 2,600. It’s a far cry from what the men play in at the Prudential Center. It has been there since 1929. The University of Georgia believes in equality, and our new gym I am announcing now, will once again serve both equally our men and our women. Clearly, our women have been the better of the 2. There have been years I figured we slaughter our men with our women, although our men played well here in their win on TV. We kicked their fannies.
Our ladies have beat Georgie tek, Ohio State and Michigan State, so Seton Hall might be better than those 3, but they certainly better prepare us than Seton Hall will be with their schedule.
But, still it is great that our men beat Seton Hall the day before yesterday. I really enjoyed the game.
I expect no less from our women.
We hosted Seton Hall the day before yesterday in men’s basketball, so we’ve not seen the Prudential Center, but it’s wrong for the men to have a top-notch center and the women an old puny relic.
# 124 national university Colorado State University. UGA is # 56. As a football program, it is not listed on the winningest college football programs because well they have a losing record all-time.
It’s an agricultural college. Their vet school is quite good.
I’ve had a lot of great work done for our pets at UGA. But, hey if Mike Bobo wants to go way the hell out there, I certainly will not stand in his way. I have been frustrated his entire lifetime with him on offense – except for his lone good senior season as our QB. That year surprised me. I wish I could say the same about Hutson Mason’s senior season at # 87 in the nation in passing offense.
Baseball ? Colorado State University (Colorado A&M) does not even have a baseball team.
Good Lord, Mike Bobo.
8 teams remain in the Mountain West. This is one of them.
They last won the conference championship in football about the same long time ago we did The SEC.
Well we “won” The SEC Championship in 2005, but we were the # 3 SEC team in every poll for the season, since Mike Bobo and Mark Richt decided upon Joe Tereshinski III against that hapless Florida team who beat us 2005 when DJ Shockley got injured. Joe Cox would’ve been a better choice, and would not have lost to Florida. Florida was really bad 2005.
This has been an on-going issue for Mike Bobo determining who should play a snap at Georgia as QB and developing his back-up so he was prepared for such a situation.
Mike Bobo and Mark Richt did not handle the David Greene – DJ Shockley situation well from the get-go. And, they chose Joe Tereshinski III over Joe Cox. And, they chose Joe Cox over Zach Mettenberger. And, they chose Joe Tereshinski III over Matthew Stafford. And, they chose Hutson Freaking Mason and his # 87 Passing Offense all 2014 season over both Jacob Park and Brice Ramsey – hell, even Faton Bauta.
.40 Joe Tereshinski III win % as Starting QB 2-3
.64 Joe Cox win % as Starting QB 9-5
.67 Aaron Murray win % as Starting QB 35-17
.71 Hutson Mason win % as Starting QB 10-4
.80 Matthew Stafford win % as Starting QB 27-7
.81 David Greene win % as Starting QB 42-10
.83 DJ Shockley win % as Starting QB 10-2
DJ Shockley should never have been redshirted 2001. If he had not been, we would not have lost 4 games. He should have played with David Greene – like he did the next 4 years. It made recruiting a top quarterback an issue for a decade for Mark Richt and Mike Bobo. It was very poorly handled. DJ’s dad forced Mark Richt and Mike Bobo to promise to play him every game, if he accepted the redshirt. It was as wrong as the other QB decisions by Mike Bobo and Mark Richt. They don’t get it about college football and playing your best QB, one who can throw the ball downfield, and hopefully also can run the ball. Hutson Mason, this season, for example, did NEITHER. But, at least he did not turn the ball over or get sacked, until it cost us in the 3 losses this season and last season’s loss to Nebraska – all 3 who were seriously under-manned against us, but beat us. A lot worse teams than us all 4 who Hutson Mason lost to.
Bottom line is Hutson Mason failed despite not turning the ball over or being sacked, and Aaron Murray failed because he did BOTH. It’s been the worst time for what was being touted as our best talented teams in our entire history and came on the heels of the Joe Cox bullshit senior season and on the heels of the 2008 season of off-field and on-field bad press. Together # 20 in won/lost after 2007. This is a failure of the offense to convert on 3rd downs after 2007 in a very out-of-date “offense” Mike Bobo presumably takes with him out there to CSU. It does not work.
Mike Bobo and Mark Richt have mismanaged the running backs at UGA the entire 14 seasons – just as they did their QB. And, they failed to prepare their back-ups, and did waste the talent they did have on offense. Talent which was recruited by everyone on the UGA staff except for Mike Bobo – who turned his back on his OL and never built his old-style offense from the OL out.
Mike Bobo was never really the OC here. It was all Mark Richt. He was the QB coach here who made
ALL THESE MISTAKES HIMSELF.
Mike Bobo and Mark Richt when they had great talent at RB, failed to use them in the big games -preferring to be a pass-happy offense centered upon a fullback. Mike Bobo and Mark Richt went 6 entire recruiting seasons not recruiting a fullback. This when there are over 200 top fullbacks every single year. The same is true of the OL. We just go years and years without any top OL signed when half a dozen would be minimum.
Stop me if you know all this.
Jim McElwain was their head coach starting 2011, and he did diddle-e-squat. In fact, Jim McElwain has never done anything in football. But, nonetheless, Florida’s country musician AD, Jeremy Foley hired Jim McElwain – just as he also hired Ron Zook, Urban Meyer, and Will Muschamp – among others.
1968 over 50 years’ ago, their rinky-dink football stadium was built. They are blowing that up and will install a new stadium. Not sure why.
Mike Bobo will NEVER succeed there. He has done very poorly here converting 3rd Down Conversion Opportunities.
Why in the Hell would Mike Bobo go there, instead of say to Vandie here where he has lived his whole entire freaking life, and where all the recruits are. He will get the remnants of recruiting.
# 82 recruiting average every year, there are none to chose locally way the hell out there, and no one wants to come to there from HERE.
Georgie tek recruits the average # 52 recruiting rankings.
So, CSU is more than 150 percent worse than the talent at Georgie tek.
So, Mike Bobo goes from a team who after 2007 has been a win 2 lose 1 (to far less talented teams) when Mark Richt called the Offense prior to that and was 81 percent win percentage and a top team considered by all to be Elite. He leaves this situation of a sinking ship to Colorado State University who is the bottom rung of a very poor what is left of Mountain West Conference. The conference really started with 16 teams. This is what is left. A bunch of nobodies.
So, instead of coaching say Vandie in the Top SEC, he goes to the bottom rung of a conference slated to be itself just gone forever from the memory. There is no talent in the Mountain West and Colorado State has had at most 1 single NFL player ever. Mike Bobo will find working with such talent, impossible.
He cannot succeed.
Unanswered points, failed 3rd Down Conversions and great talent here, was Mike Bobo’s Calling Card.
Wasted great talent.
And, a mess at QB never seemingly able to name the best QB on our own roster, let alone which to recruit – or, even at what position. Cam Newton, Mark Richt and Mike Bobo recruited as only a TE. Neither were in the least interested in Cam Newton – well, not as a QB.
You look at Mike Bobo and he reminds me of Howdy Doody Greg McGarity.
I watched him tell Aaron Murray 3 times to NOT spike it, right in front of me.
When he had Knowshon Moreno, he ran him 17 times a game against the top teams – all of whom beat us.
He redshirted Knowshon Moreno – in the NFL now and has been since being a 1st round pick.
But, Mike Bobo redshirted Knowshon Moreno.
He and Mark Richt.
We have had problems recruiting OL for Mike Bobo’s offense, because, well it is an antiquated old offense, while has not made the OL shine. We went without getting the numbers we needed on OL in recruiting and Mike Bobo is responsible for this ever on-going issue here.
His offense will fit right in in the Mountain West Pass-Happy Offenses, notwithstanding the fact that UGA this season was # 87 nationally in passing offense.
That was because Mike Bobo chose the wrong starting QB
For the 4th time.
No coach of CSU – C A&M – has ever been hired away from them. Is that what C A&M is called now, CSU ?
Until Jim McElwain was, and that is a disaster waiting to happen, with -0- nada none zero success ever in this entire lifetime in football.
ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION
Good Riddance !
One would think an offensive coordinator who was a former QB, could pick the best QB on his roster and prepare him. He failed at both.
One would think an offensive coordinator who was a former QB here, would know that all offenses are built upon the greatness of their OL.
Failed at that too all 14 seasons here.
34,000. Their football stadium seats 34,000. Sanford Stadium is 3 times the size of their football “stadium.”
CSU or C A&M if you will, has hideous freaking green and gold as their colors.
Mike Bobo, if he did not go to seek advice, is not beginning to be ready to be a head coach. Hell, he’s not even a good Offensive Coordinator.
But, here we are with another Bulldog player in the coaching ranks.
Their field has artificial grass, and is the subject of many debates about the injuries their players get as a result.
Football is an outdoor sport, and the field is to be made of grass.
They have played football the same numbers of years as we have.
They are :
1,040 games and won only 473.
A lot of times, here, the defense took the brunt of it, when they were doing their job only to find the offense failing on 3rd Down and sending them right back out there, time and time again, until they could no longer stand up. The combination of the failings on 3rd Down by our offense and the sacks fumbles and interceptions, have brought this once Proud Top 10 All-Time Football Program to its knees.
The Mark Richt Apologists have spent their overtime here whining in support of Mike Bobo’s offense touting the bullshit Mark Richt himself touts while the offense failed to sustain drives and wore down our defense, and expected our special teams to bailout their sorry offensive asses – which happened infrequently after 2007. The problems we have in allowing unanswered points, is an offensive issue.
I do not think the Mark Richt Apologists will be so kind to Mike Bobo in his defense now that he is gone.
For there is a company line around here when you leave.
Isn’t there ?
For my part, I picked on him like stink on shit every single year of his existence here, except for his senior year as our QB here; but I lambasted him daily until it became clear that he really was a great QB his lone senior year, despite all the other years of total abject nothingness from him – like he did here.
Colorado State, what a joke !
In Wins All-Time College Football UGA is Top 10 All-Time and Colorado State University is # 89. This is not a lateral move. It’s night and day.
Have fun Mike Bobo.
Audios, sayonara, auf Wiedersehen.
Don’t let the door hit you on the ass, on the way out.
Well, I wake up and read the AJ-C Sports Section as I’ve done here every day now since the fifties, and front page Sports, there is Mark Bradley in print edition having an entire half-hour scheduled one-and-one interview with Greg McGarity, UGA Athletics Director. It goes on for 2 pages in print. 1 whole entire page.
Greg McGarity was installed as the puppet replacement for Damon Evans by the same guy who hired Damon Evans of the famous videos warning us at Sanford not to drink and drive. Mike Adam$ hired Damon Evans much to the chagrin of all Bulldogs’ fans everywhere to replace the wildly popular (still) Vincent J. Dooley who has 3 (three) national championships in football in all the same polls Georgie tek has all their nc in (although Georgie tek never has won an AP Poll nc except once in girls’ tennis long ago now) and Vince made a number of great hires. Then, Damon Evans “do you know who I am,” he whined to the Roswell Policemen, was arrested for DUI. His bimbo, like that of our next opponent Bobby Petrino coach of Louisville, got both in deep hot water.
Hot water, not unlike that of Greg McGarity and Mark Richt, today. That Greg McGarity and Mark Richt neither have bimbos is of little consolation to either on this day.
They’re both Goody Two-shoes, and this where the dissimilarity ends with Bobby Petrino and Damon Evans. Mark Richt and Greg McGarity are beyond reproach with regard to bimbos, but their efforts at winning have put both in hot water. Both are on the hot seat. Both the subject of many e-mails from supporters such as myself, and you, no doubt. Greg McGarity states he reads them and replies to many, by the way.
With Greg McGarity, there never was a good time. He came here from Florida in the off-season after the 2009 season – not a stellar year for Mark Richt and frankly neither was the 2008 either with both all the losses and all the off-field arrests and suspensions.
To begin the next season for Mark Richt, Greg McGarity was here in his current position in charge for the win over Louisiana Lafayette. Then, the dam broke for Greg McGarity, and the roof caved-in on Mark Richt.
Not that the dust has settled even yet after the Louisiana Lafayette win to begin that season when Greg McGarity was installed as our puppet-AD of Mike Adam$, the losses since have been staggering. To replace widely unpopular Mike Adam$’ previous puppet-AD, Damon Evans. “Here just let me drive the vehicle home officer, ok ? Do you even know who I am ?”
So, Greg McGarity knew coming-in, that he was taking over a football program in dire straights for 2 entire seasons before he was hired. Both of the previous 2.
Mike Adam$ was so unpopular here in The Bulldogs’ Nation that when we went to the Sugar Bowl at the Georgia Dome and sat down, we none of us could quit booing Mike Adam$ and his wife before we were behind 0-28 to West Virginia, mind you. That may seem like a long time to you 28 to nothing, but we showed-up unprepared and no game plan, unmotivated – all this while the entire Georgia Dome was rocking from the booing of Mike Adam$.
I wonder who picked up the check with Greg McGarity and Mark Bradley meeting at a restaurant downtown here in Atlanta ?
Mike Adam$ bilked us for all we were worth on such junkets.
Even double-dipping on expense reports, and later after being caught red-handed saying he would please like to re-pay that 1.
I do not know what the budget is yet for the new replacement of Mike Adam$ because he has failed to provide it, despite an e-mail to me personally and despite his URL Link to nothingness as well. Lots of fluff, and no substance. In fact, that is all Jere Morehead has done as well, replacing the wildly unpopular Mike Adam$.
So, you have wildly unpopular folks for a variety of reasons. In this case, the subject of all this interview is Mark Richt. I love the guy as a person and fellow Christian. But, we did not hire him as either of those. He is our football coach in charge of winning, not something else we adhere to here at UGA more important than winning as Mark Richt was quoted just a week ago telling us fans.
But, Greg McGarity’s failures go back all the way to after when the 2009 season of Joe Cox was over. The beginning of the 2010 season, perhaps you recall, found Greg McGarity here for the whole year in its entirety. All 6-7 of it. The loss to Colorado who fired their coach, like Florida did their coach this year. Greg McGarity and Mark Richt lost both of those games together. It’s a sordid story of their failures on and off the field together. Jere Morehead ? No comment from him ? Really ? If Mark Bradley can have this no-holds-barred interview where he does not have to kowtow to the AD to ask these questions, and the dimwit is stupid enough to show-up right now for it, why not interview Jere Morehead. Hand him this post right here. All the losses all 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and now 2014 have mounted for Greg McGarity and Mark Richt and all the arrests/suspensions/kicked-off which caused all these losses to less-talented teams. It is far from pretty the entirety of this match made in Hell of Mark Richt and Greg McGarity – Loserviille together and bad press city as well.
Mark Richt and Greg McGarity have teamed-up to be the biggest under-achievers in football history because we have had the 2nd best talent in the nation and have lost to ten (10) teams who either did not make both the AP or Coaches’ Poll for these 5 seasons they’ve been together, or the loss was to a team who was not ranked at game-time, or both, or the team did not make the AP Poll for the season.
Worse, we are only 45-21 overall during their tenure together a ludicrous puppet and a we do not even try to win because we believe in God here and that more important than winning coach. I do not know what you know about college football, but I share with you as a fan of this sport for all these years now, that 21 losses for 5 seasons is MORE than 4 Losses a Season, which is what Greg McGarity and Mark Richt have both accomplished together – not to diminish their myriad off-field bad press as well.
It’s not a pretty picture no matter how you try to paint it.
And, the same goes for Mark Richt for the years Greg McGarity was not here, after 2007 as well – the back-drop to the hire of AD Greg McGarity the horrid 2008 and 2009 seasons back-to-back.
2008 was a particularly poor season for UGA before Greg McGarity was hired, so this was there as a backdrop to his hire. We had 22 players in bar brawls pre-season 2008 being named # 1 Pre-Season Consensus in both the AP and Coaches’ Poll for the only time in school history. That very night of the polls both being released, we partied hearty. It was clearly the worst day in UGA Bulldogs’ College Football History that Saturday night before the season started when the AP Poll was released also showing us # 1. We had so many suspensions that Mark Richt was fortunate to be able to field an offense, special teams, and defense. We struggled against every team we played.
Then, having beat the teams we struggled against, we were dropped in the polls from # 1 and then we faced Alabama at our house on national TV the game-time # 6 team and we # 3. We fell behind 0-31. We do this all the time under Mark Richt, don’t we ?
We are simply frequently unprepared, unmotivated, and must be with our heads in the clouds, filled of off-season bullshit from our fan base on how great they all are, and don’t think they need to GATA. That they can just show-up and well, the worse ranked team, Alabama in this case, would just roll-over and play dead.
No, that’s UGA.
UGA is great at rolling-over and playing dead.
On the sidelines, he frequently is shown just asleep, sitting there on his bag of ice.
Mark Richt has put our fanbase asleep after 2007 similarly.
Mark Richt’s teams show up all too frequently the entire 2nd half of the Mark Richt era after 2007, asleep at the wheel, like UGA. After we lost to Alabama 2008, we lost to Florida and to Georgie tek. We were supposed to win ALL 3.
2009 was the year of Joe Cox when he was bragged about by Mark Richt and Mike Bobo yet he played with his chronic shoulder that kept him out of every 4th practice all season, and he had the flu against Okie State. We flew Joe Cox on charter flight to Stillwater because of his flu. Instead of what I called for pre-game of now NFL Zach Mettenberger, these dumbass UGA coaches told us all Joe Cox was the greatest QB on our roster. Bullshit and I said so pre-game, pre-season 2009 of Joe Cox as I did about Matthew Stafford not Joe Tereshinski III the 2006 season and as I rightfully called this season about Hutson Mason and his # 87 Passing Offense for UGA 2014 against a WEAK-ASS schedule. We also lost in addition 2009 to Okie State, to LSU, vols, Florida, and even to Kentucky. We average OVER 4 Losses a season under Mark Richt after 2007,with 29 Losses and Counting, so this 2009 season was no aberration, now was it ? 5 losses and that no aberration. Did you get that DISNEYdawgs.com Mark Richt Apologists ?
Then, this is where Greg McGarity was hired as Damon Evans’ replacement by Mike Adam$. After this horrid 2008 and 2009 on and off the field.
45-21 Greg McGarity and Mark Richt together here
45-21 Greg McGarity and Mark Richt together. Not exactly a match made in heaven, despite both being Little Miss Goody Two-shoes.
45-21 is win 2, lose 1, win 2, lose 1, win 2, lose 1 ad infinitum ad nauseam. It’s sickening with the 2nd best recruiting average ranking 2001-2015, and that as verified 2nd best nationally. For those who think the recruiting services are well just wrong. Excuse me, but Mark Richt also has 81 NFL Draft Picks 2001-2014, also 2nd best in the nation. So, if the recruiting services are wrong, so is the entire NFL.
Under-Achiever label fits ?
We have had 118 signed scholarship LOI in the Greg McGarity/Mark Richt era here, who with a redshirt season would be playing in this bowl game, only 2 SEC teams playing before us this entire bowl season. There are 14 SEC teams. 2 play before us. Of the 118 LOI Greg McGarity/Mark Richt era, 72 can play in this weenie bowl in Charlotte. Mark Bradley quotes, by the way, Greg McGarity pointing out as I that Mark Richt has lost 3 of the latest 4 bowl games. This is Greg McGarity’s Bowl Record, pardon me. And, together their collective bowl record to have lost together Greg & Mark show 3 of the 4 bowl games they’ve had.
72 of 118 signed LOI scholarship recruits all remaining for Bowl Game
These 2 together have been an abomination, both on the field winning 2 losing 1 the entire time together, but also so many arrests/suspensions/kicked-off that Greg McGarity quipped in September that there had been zero in September. 15 for the year 2014, but 0 for September. He was proud of that. I thought at the time, if he were I and I made such a statement, it would have been on Saturday Night Live in a skit making fun of UGA Bulldogs’ Football Program to make such a hyperbolic statement.
Surely, no one not making a joke would quip that we had none arrested/suspended/kicked-off in September in a year 2014 in which 15 were arrested/suspended/kicked-off. Right ?
That just means we had 1 more some 4 other months, then.
Howdy Doody couldn’t have been more funny on his best day.
Reminds me of what he said when they informed Ray Goff that he’d been elected in the Georgia-Florida Football Game Hall of Fame : “For which team?”
Seriously, Howdy Doody ?
No one has been arrested/suspended/kicked-off all September, sir ? Really ?
You’ve got to be kidding me.
This puppet, Greg McGarity, has presided over the biggest under-achiever in college football history winning 2, losing 1 for 5 seasons together with Mark Richt with the 2nd best talent nationally 45-21.
Half of the more than 4 losses a season average, have been inexplicable.
This season , for example, we lost to 2 unranked teams and another team whose recruiting ranking averages # 52 to our # 9, and we lost at home to give their coach not even a losing record at our house.
How bad is that ?
Well, Florida had lost 10 of their latest 13 games when we also lost to them, blown-out.
South Carolina to begin this mess this season has only 6 wins, same as Florida, who fired their coach.
South Carolina beat us. Everyone beat South Carolina and Florida, but us.
The damn coach has been quoted after each of the 3 losses this season.
“If I had it to do over, I’d hammer it from the 4 on 1st and goal against South Carolina giving the ball to Todd Gurley II.”
“If I had it to do over, I’d kick it deep with 13 ticks on the clock, not to the 43-yard line as a squib kick having taken the lead by 3 at home against under-manned Georgie tek.”
“As for us showing up unprepared and taking it lightly that all these football players on our team have been quoted by you to me that the whole team took Florida our # 1 Rival I Mark Richt am now 5-9 against, I can only offer to them all, shut up !”
Well, that’s what he said.
Mark Richt, not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Joe Tereshinski III instead of NFL Matthew Stafford, seriously, Mark Richt as Starting QB son ?
Joe Cox instead of NFL Zach Mettenberger against Okie State, seriously, dumbass ?
Hutson Mason instead of future NFL Jacob Park AND Brice Ramsey, or even Faton Bauta ?
Mein Gott !
Got to be the stupidest coach and most ludicrous athletic director combination in the history of histories.
Together, the most unsuccessful combination – the most under-achieving in college football history with the most or 2nd most talent nationally in addition. Hard to imagine, isn’t it ?
Look, it’s one thing to get 1 QB wrong, but 3 ?
Look, it’s one thing to lose a game you’re supposed to win, but 10 un-ranked teams ?
3 of the 5 years, Greg McGarity has been unranked, for UGA Top 10 All-Time in Wins.
Mark Bradley got it right when he said in print AJ-C today that there are fans of Mark Richt who will support him no matter what.
There are not many left of those anymore. Their ranks have been depleted by half.
It’s gone on too long.
I supported Mark Richt 2001-2007, or at least 2001-2005 when I started to notice irregularities. We picked on opponents for bad behavior and then our fans refused to criticize us for it. We lost to top teams on the road where we used to always it seems to win those, or certainly the vast majority. The pendulum swung.
2011, we lost 4. You’d never know that talking to the still today Mark Richt Apologists. They are closet Mark Richt Apologists, mostly, now today where they say they are disappointed in his results on the field the dumbass stuff he says and does, and the off-field woes he wishes he could ignore every press conference telling the press do you want to talk football or that ? If that, I will just pack up my toys and leave. Adolf Hitler could not get away with that, but Mark Richt the Saint can ? Not in my lifetime. Thus, me. Thus, this. Thus, called out son.
2012, little Aaron Murray asks Mike Bobo and Mark Richt not once or twice but 3 times in front of me. All 3 times, they BOTH tell him no, do not spike it. Aaron Murray knew to spike it. That’s why he kept asking ?
Spike it ?
Spike it ?
Spike it ?
We just waste the talent we recruit. We are dumb.
I do not know what the AJ-C is doing any more. I think they must be charging 99 cents for this story in print thrown in my driveway today.
But this is not the story I am relating to you about.
Here, let me type how it starts out at least for you, and maybe you can find it if you are accustomed to paying for news available free on the Internet ?
“AD takes heat…”
“Amid some UGA fans’ doubts, McGarity ‘not afraid to make changes’…”
“In the days since Georgia lost to Georgia Tech, several people close to the program have suggested that all is not well in Athens, that some fans have lost faith in coach Mark Richt and doubt that athletic director Greg McGarity would be forceful enough to make such a high-profile change even if warranted”…
That this is the state of our football program, Proud Top 10 All-Time Wins’ Program UGA, is sickening. It has grown more tiresome as it has gone on for now 7 entire seasons of the 14 Mark Richt has been here now. Half the time. The 2nd Half. The most recent half. The Current 2nd Half of the Mark Richt era.
When we look at the polls on this blog, they all contradict The Mark Richt Apologists.

If you are any one of any of these, or have EVER said any of these statements, you are a DISNEYdawgs.com poster and fodder for my damn blog earning my DISNEYdawgs.com Award I’ve been giving out now online for longer than Mark Richt has been here. I started giving out my DISNEYdawgs.com Award in the Vince Dooley era – in fact, before the DUMP DOOLEY hire Erk Russell head coach campaign in the seventies.
Old school Bulldog ? …yeah.
But, I am also the one who SUPPORTED Mark Richt when he was winning 81 % of his games, back when The SEC was down. Since then, The SEC has become much stronger and Mark Richt is out-classed coaching college football offense, defense and special teams. Fine outstanding young man and family man and Christian, but By God Above – that is NOT what we pay him for – but, winning and he’s not getting HIS job done.
What’s your excuse ?
I am not a hater. I also do not want CMR’s job to be as cushy as it can be, but get him and the players to GATA, which is something we do not do. You’re satisfied, and I’m not. I presume, by now, you’ve figured that out ?
I know this.
There are a LOT of folks who agree with me that YOU’re the problem around here.
Mark Richt signed 118 scholarship recruits who with redshirt would be playing in this bowl game – which finds only 2 other SEC teams playing before us this bowl season. All 118 signed the letter of intent. Not 1 was drafted early in 2014 NFL Draft.
I submit herein that there is a correlation between arrests/suspensions/kicked-off and won/lost record, as Mark Richt over-all is 63-29 after 2007 – an average of MORE than 4 LOSSES a season nowadays.
(1) WR NR Lonnie Outlaw – Wide Receiver Georgia Military, failed to Qualify

(4)QB 53 Hutson Mason
(5)MLB 74 Alexander Ogletree– suspended REPEATED FAILED DRUG TEST removed from team
(6)DT 6 Garrison Smith
(7)DE 12 T.J. Stripling
(8)DE 45 Dexter Morant– quit when he 1st got here. Unquit later. Then, flunked-out.
(9)S JC Jakar Hamilton– transferred-out Safety South Carolina State
(10)DE 52 Brandon Burrows–quit the team as soon as he got here, unquit. medical hardship.
(11)RB 25 Ken Malcome– quit, un-quit, AGAIN QUIT MARK RICHT Southern Illinois Salukis
The number after each player is their ranking at their position in the nation. RB 1 would mean Isaiah Crowell was the number 1 running back in The United States of America. These rankings are verified by not only the # 9 average recruiting rank for Mark Richt Scout.com 2001-2015, but also by his 81 NFL Draft Picks 2001-2014, both of which are 2nd best in the nation behind only Southern California in the Mark Richt era 2001-2015 and # 1 best in The SEC at both as well. So, why are we # 20 after 2007 and # 5 in The SEC after 2007 to present at winning ? Well, I am going to delve into that for you in grave detail.
Does this look like a problem here for Mark Richt ? Earth is not ethereal, but earthy, Mark Richt.
If you do not like it, do not represent me or my University in a poor way. You represent your precious damn coach however you damn well like – the wimpy ass weasel.
Mark Richt signs more to LOI than other coaches do. He over signs. Your actions reflect on your coach. You represent your University.
This is what really irks me about Mark Richt, besides all the losing – a total waste of talent. Seemingly, on purpose, a total and utter waste of talent.
A Football Coach is paid to teach the recruits to obey the rules and to win.
A Preacher has a CALLING where higher ideals than winning are the goal.
There is a confusion around here about this.
When Mark Richt said that he was freed-up so that he could spend more time on football, what has he been doing ? Freed-up from what ? Church ?
Did you know that Mark Richt was not raised a Christian ? That he was not Saved until Bobby Bowden led him to the Lord when one of the FSU players died ?
When Brent Benedict OL told Mark Richt in 2011 that the Strength and Conditioning is all wrong here, why did Mark Richt disagree with Brent Benedict then, and now all of a sudden after losing to Georgie tek’s average # 52 recruits, 6-win Florida who fired their coach the following week, and 6-win South Carolina – he fires Joe Tereshinski II (Jr.) who should never have had the job in the 1st place obviously and still does not have any clear idea in his mind whom it is he is replacing him with. Just fire him instantly after Georgie tek loss, and make it appear as if Joe Tereshinski II (Jr.) is the scapegoat for that.
Does Mark Richt over sign recruits ? Mark Richt is supposed to be some coach who does NOT over sign, but does he in reality ?
Does Mark Richt over sign ?
Why does Mark Richt over sign ?
Why does he act like he doesn’t ?
Why do Mark Richt Apologists put-up with this ?
Honestly, the ranks of the Mark Richt Apologists are DWINDLING.
This BLOG has had a great part in this.
Here, I do not put-up with whiny little their shit doesn’t stink, Mark Richt Apologists. Not for one New York damn nanosecond, and never have and never will.
You want the facts ?
Or, are you going to sit there and try to tell me what is, isn’t and what isn’t is ?
You make up your own mind.
But, do not come whining to me.
Here we will discuss Mark Richt’s Religion and his CALLING from a Christian Viewpoint.
We will ALSO call it like it is.
Ask Fran Tarkenton.
I call it like it is.
Mark Richt signed 119 scholarship recruits who with redshirt would be playing in this bowl game – which finds only 2 other SEC teams playing before us this bowl season. All 119 signed the letter of intent. Not 1 was drafted early in 2014 NFL Draft.
The losses, arrests, suspensions, and kicked-off continue to mount on the coach Mark Richt, his loser AD Greg McGarity and Jere Morehead UGA’s do-nothing say nothing president.
These are all players who other schools recruited as well, but here at UGA is where they were given a lax sense of obeying the rules – often followed by harsh punishment and turning of the back by Mark Richt on the young men just when they needed him the most. Mark Richt did the most he could do to minimize the exposure of these incidents, and to cover them all up as best he could, including below as noted completely refusing to even contact the police and authorities, even for felonies he kicked them off the team for. Sending continuing lax sense of obeying the rules to these recruits, for whom Mark Richt alone is given all the credit for signing here even after they were no longer part of the team, Mark Richt has been cited in most of these incidents recently as saying he Loves the kids. This is a confusing and contradictory stance by Mark Richt to tell players that screwed-up here, that he loves them just when they needed him to be firm and make them understand that they must obey the rules.
Christians have these problems; they believe that they are forgiven; therefore they are not direct that the recruits here must obey the rules; in fact, Mark Richt is completely the opposite of direct that his recruits must obey the rules when he tells them after he kicks them off the team that he Loves them, which is worse than a mixed message on obeying the rules and really tantamount to directly telling them it’s ok – that they are forgiven. They are not forgiven. They bring bad press upon the good name of The University of Georgia. Mark Richt’s Christian goals of ministering to these kids are in direct contradiction to winning here at UGA, which is best exemplified by Mark Richt’s own quote just last week, that there is something here at The University of Georgia that we adhere to which is more important than winning. Mark Richt’s calling is to be a preacher man, not to be head coach of a football team. In fact, I do not believe that you can find ANY evidence to the contrary that Mark Richt does care about winning football games or coaching football or learning even the basic precepts of a calling of being a head football coach. He believes his calling actually is preacher man. A man cannot serve 2 Gods; he must either have a calling at $ 3.5 million annually to be a head football coach as his calling; or, he must have the calling to be a preacher man : Not both – as to have BOTH as priority # 1 goals, would be contradictory; it is, however, possible to have BALANCE in your life and witness to others in ANY calling; it’s just that Mark Richt’s calling is not to be football coach but minister.
When Mark Richt 1st got here, many of the recruits he brought in, he bragged about to the press that the reason he brought-in a trouble-maker was that he wanted to minister to him. After 14 years now, Mark Richt now sings a different tune on that – now, saying other schools recruited them as well, and then kicking them off the team like that exonerates him and cleanses his soul of them; but they say he turned his back on them just when they needed him the most.
Seen on the sidelines following losses to 10 teams after 2007 who did not make either the AP or Coaches’ Polls, or were not ranked at game time, or failed to make the final AP Poll, Mark Richt appears down-trodden by this double-whammy that he brings bad press to UGA on and off the field.
Mark Richt appears to the world as a defeated man over all this. Of the latest 24 games against teams higher ranked than he for these recent seasons, he has lost 20. Of the latest 21 games either as visitor or neutral fields against a team ranked for that season in either the AP or Coaches’ Polls, Mark Richt has lost 16. Of the latest 33 games against teams making either the AP or Coaches’ Polls for that season, Mark Richt has lost 23.
I submit herein that there is a correlation between arrests/suspensions/kicked-off and won/lost record, as Mark Richt over-all is 63-29 after 2007 – an average of MORE than 4 LOSSES a season nowadays.
It has come to the point today, where Mark Bradley wrote an article in the AJ-C print Sunday that even the old-school diehard Bulldogs’ fans have come to the same realization as Mark Richt appears to have come to on the sidelines, appearing worn-out from all this losing on the field to lesser teams who have lesser talent who he should never have lost to and from the continuing on-going never-ending off field arrests/suspensions/kicked-off.
I mean how can he be a minister, if at every press meeting, he has to take charge of the press meeting by telling the press to shut-up ? That if they do not want to discuss football, that he will go to his room and just spend his time, praying.
Mark Richt after losing to Florida, whom Mark Bradley points out fired Will Muschamp 15 days’ later, told the press when they informed him of player after player who admitted they took Florida lightly because well they had lost to 10 of their latest 13 games at game time, that his players should all just shut-up.
Defense of Mark Richt is considered defending the faith of The Bulldogs’ Program, and so many topics such as this are banned, deleted, censored, edited so that no discussion of same can be openly laid-out and gone through thoroughly.
There, however, is a growing concern among even those where about half of them have abandoned their earlier belief in Mark Richt and censorship of anything remotely resembling criticism of Mark Richt, and joined the bandwagon of the bastion group who actually do make the Bulldog Nation, the Bulldog Nation. Those from that camp forever will be known to be not Bulldog Football Program fans but fans of just only Mark Richt.
Why else would one put up with all this ?
Surely, the Top 10 All-Time College Football Wins’ Program has both College and Pro Hall of Fame Football Players who tell it to you like it is, guys like Fran Tarkenton who tells us too that Mark Richt is out of balance in his Religion and what SHOULD BE HIS CALLING of head college football coach at Top 10 All-Time UGA.
If your calling, indeed is football coach, then there is NOTHING more important than winning. And, this hogwash around here the contrary by Mark Richt is just yet another attempt to control your mind, have you drink the Kool-Aid, and to put-up with what Todd Gurley II termed mediocre losing.
Well, yeah, except that does not address the cause for all this losing – all the arrests/suspensions/kicked-off.
(1)WR NR Lonnie Outlaw – Wide Receiver Georgia Military, failed to Qualify
(2)DT 16 Michael Thornton
(3)OT 90 Kenarious Gates
(4)QB 53 Hutson Mason recruited because we kicked-off Zach Mettenberger. Zach Mettenberger kicked off team – Quarterback – LSU. He has 8 TD Passes in his 6 Starts in the NFL with 60 % completion ratio and 1,412 yards passing. There is no damn way that he should have stayed on the damned bench against Okie State 2009. That’s bullshit that Joe Cox with chronic shoulder and with flu only played against Okie State. I said that pre-game, as I did that Brice Ramsey or Jacob Park should have played against South Carolina instead of Hutson Mason who gets to play 1 more football game in his lifetime. And, as I said about not Joe Tereshinski III but Matthew Stafford. We recruit all these top 10 QBs in the nation, but then we have this bullshit lying coach who tells you the obvious poor QB is the better QB. Not in their lifetimes.
(5)MLB 74 Alexander Ogletree – suspended multiple times for violation of team rules, including the 4-game suspension for REPEATED FAILED DRUG TEST mandatory by my alma mater school policy. Removed from roster supposedly for medical reasons. Part of a package deal in the 1st place to get his NFL twin brother, Alec. Mike Bobo said he had a bad attitude. Was he kicked-off or mutually agreed to go to medically ineligible ? You tell me ? The issue here, as with all these others, is that Zander obviously has an illegal drug issue reported widely and that he had a bad attitude, but that Mark Richt could not maintain discipline. It cost us games. It cost us tons of bad press. It caused turmoil.
(6)DT 6 Garrison Smith
(7)DE 12 T.J. Stripling
(8)DE 45 Dexter Morant – quit when he 1st got here. Unquit later. Then, flunked-out.
(9)S JC Jakar Hamilton – transferred-out Safety South Carolina State, not like we needed any damn safeties here, is it ?
(10)DE 52 Brandon Burrows – serious high school injury after offered scholarship. Mark Richt kept the scholarship anyway. Brandon showed-up and quit the team as soon as he got here too. Then, he too changed his mind and unquit. Then, it was revealed that he really could not play due to injuries and then was put on medical hardship. This was supposed to be good press that Mark Richt left his offer intact ? I don’t think so, like the others listed herein, this is why the other coaches retracted their offer ladies and gentlemen.
(11)RB 25 Ken Malcome – to replace all these arrested/suspended/kicked-off running backs, Ken Malcome was here for us. What did Mark Richt do all 2011 while all this was going on with Isaiah Crowell ? Well, sir, Mark Richt gave FAVORITISM to Isaiah Crowell at the expense of Ken Malcome that is exactly what happened. 2011, Ken Malcome witnessing Isaiah Crowell given the opportunity to play Florida 3 days’ after FAILING THE DRUG TEST and all the other bullshit Isaiah Crowell subjected us all to, quit Mark Richt. Told him to his face. Ken Malcome had Mark Richt over a barrel. So, Mark Richt promised him he would play him. So, Ken Malcome un-quit Mark Richt. Then, Mark Richt did NOT play Ken Malcome and Ken Malcome AGAIN QUIT MARK RICHT – this time over the LIES by Mark Richt to Ken Malcome. Tailback 2014 Southern Illinois. Good school with a top athletic department. OL depth issues, RB depth issues, secondary depth issues… Quarterbacks signs all these top 10 Quarterbacks every year, and NEVER PLAYS THEM EITHER. It’s Bullshit how you WASTE talent here Mark Richt and PLAY FAVORITES. Hutson Mason comes to mind. Joe Cox comes to mind. Joe Tereshinski III comes to mind; his dad comes to mind as coach. Your DC for years comes to mind Willie Martinez. It’s what you do, Mark Richt you sorry piece of shit. All contradictory to your goal of winning here, which NOW you say is NOT YOUR GOAL HERE AT ALL BUT SOMETHING HIGHER. Bullshit Mark Richt and bullshit son on you, sir. Fed up with it all. Is that a FLAME ? I know this, it’s every word true – and more importantly, it’s TO THE DAMN POINT. Mike Bobo had to take up for you with Ken Malcome, Mark Richt. That made you feel good ? Or, that made you remember what you promised Ken Malcome, Mark Richt ? That all while instead, despite all the issues with Isaiah Crowell, you played Crowell and NEVER Ken Malcome. Why recruit the kid if you do not want to play him and want to lie to him Mark Richt ? Ken Malcome was 2nd leading on his team Southern Illinois Salukis last year with 5 Touchdown runs, but this season was cut short by injuries. But, that’s not the point Mark Richt, why play Isaiah Crowell stubbornly like you did as nothing but FAVORITISM when Ken Malcome you told, you would play instead. Sometimes you act Holier than God Mark Richt and sometimes, you are totally against everything that are my Christian Values. So, quit already Mark Richt with the bullshit about your Christianity, and coach football players. Was Ken Malcome like all your other running backs Mark Richt ? No, sir. But, you played them all despite their BAD PRESS at the expense of good kids, Mark Richt; and, I sir, take exception to that, as a Christian. I take exception to that on the basis of chemistry on the team, and by that I do NOT mean drugs, Mark Richt. You do not treat players right all the time Mark Richt – sometimes, you just get damn stubborn and play them no matter what they do. Montez Robinson comes to mind – arrested battery/family violence, multiple incidents, in fact Mark Richt went to jail and talked with him after he had not only picked-up his girlfriend allegedly and thrown her repeatedly to the floor, but also had a previous violent incident with her also arrested for and a 3rd time with her where he beat-up allegedly not her this time, but her car, kicked-off finally after ALL this. Absolutely amazing. Lax program here ? No question of it. No wonder the players love the coach. It sure as Hell is not because he is only 68 % win percentage for the last entire 7 years here, despite once having a 81 % win percentage. There are still fans today, Mark Richt Apologists, who quote what Mark Richt did way back then when he had the 81 % win percentage, who tell me on my blog here that I am taking a small subset of his career here – the 2nd half of the Mark Richt era after 2007 – to talk about 68 % win percentage and running a lax ship. Stick it where the sun doesn’t shine ! This is what you do here, Mark Richt. You want to be minister to Isaiah Crowell and Montez Robinson while nice guys like Ken Malcome get the freaking shaft by you, Mark Richt. It’s NOT right and it damn sure ain’t Christian. Maybe in the slums downtown you could put forth that as that preacher there, it was right on your part-time side job to play Isaiah Crowell and Montez Robinson after their repeated violations of EVERYTHING HOLY to give the bad boy a chance, a shot in life. But, this is NOT a trophy for everyone, and we are TRYING to win football games here. Some of us anyway, speaking for myself Mark Richt. You just are not the sharpest knife in the drawer, as you repeatedly prove to EVERYONE on this earth.
(12)OLB 3 Alec Ogletree
(13)CB 45 Derek Owens – became the 15th Mark Richt signed recruit who left UGA in 2011 alone who still had eligibility remaining. It was supposed to be THE GREAT EXODUS, THE CLEANSING NEEDED, THE GOOD RIDDANCE, THE GET OFF THE BUS, THE ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION. Instead, it became the mantra of only the Mark Richt Apologists who bragged THEREFORE thereafter that Mark Richt would go 15-0 and win the damn national championship. Uh huh. I believe all that shit. Right. Sure I do. How about not one friqin’ syllable of it ? None of it. I am not having any of it gentlemen. Transferred Derek Owens, Cornerback, Alabama State. We did not need any defensive backs, nah. Nothing like that.
(14)WR 84 Michael Bennett
(15)OLB 23 Demetre Baker – 10th Bulldog arrested that year too when he was arrested for DUI and under-age possession of alcohol open container in the vehicle. These are not MINOR arrests, are they ? Mark Richt suspended this 10th arrest that year for Mississippi State, whom Mark Richt LOST TO, and kicked him off the team. Demetre Baker tailback then transferred to South Alabama college whatever that is, and then was found there too in violation of team rules and also there, therefore, kicked-off.
(16)OT 10 Brent Benedict – Joe Tereshinski II, otherwise referred to as Junior – whom Mark Richt just fired after losing to Georgie tek like it was his fault – NEVER had our men training properly for Strength and Conditioning. Mark Richt had no OL 2011. Brent quit Mark Richt after discussing Joe Tereshinski II with Mark Richt 2011. 4 years’ later, Mark Richt agrees. Stubborn ass Mark Richt. Stubborn. Really stubborn. If Mark Richt has only 1 character flaw we can analyze, it is his repeated dogged stubbornness. Offensive Tackle Virginia Tech. Brent Benedict was injured AFTER Mark Richt offered him a scholarship here, and Mark Richt kept his commitment; Brent comes here to UGA and cannot play because of the injury and then goes to Virginia Tech where his career ends with him unable to play, after starting 7 games last year 2013. He just could not go, medical disqualification. But, he sure took his shots at Mark Richt and his Strength and Conditioning Program here, didn’t he ? And, again, how does this look giving away a scholarship when materially Brent Benedict was as damaged goods as Todd Gurley II is today and as Keith Marshall is. We are running a football team here, not a Christian side-job Pop Warner everyone gets a trophy program – not here. If Brent Benedict is injured, tell him to walk-on and you guarantee him a Full Scholarship the 1st one that comes up. If Brent Benedict is not injured or it’s not a bad injury as this one, and he tells you that your S&C sucks big-time, don’t run the press and tell us how great your S&C is you numbnut only to come back now and recant all that saying it was all Joe Tereshinski II’s problem – certainly not yours. All these years, and now you say it’s Joe Tereshinski II’s fault – junior’s problem ? From 1982 to January 2011, Joe Tereshinski Jr (II), was the assistant film room projection booth operator and Mark Richt promoted him from that to Strength and Conditioning Coordinator January 2011. Players, coaches, pundits, color commentators and fans have pointed-out to Mark Richt the glaring issues on BOTH lines for example, and the myriad of warm-up technique non-necessary preventable injuries to stubborn ole Mark Richt. What does Mark Richt do ? He has bragged about Joe Tereshinski II (Junior) since the criticism started, stubborn as ever. He has disagreed with EVERYONE, and quickly changes the subject. Put his cushy damn job of $ 3.5 million on the line, and he FIRES HIM INSTANTLY. Not even a plan for replacement. I presume this means then Mark Richt that Brent Benedict was right after all in 2011 when he came to your office and told you all this, then, sir ? And, that you were wrong all along with all your hog shit manure you’ve shoveled to us since 2011 about our Strength and Conditioning as a damn Strength somehow Mark Richt ? Like everything else, which is it Mark Richt ? You said to the fan in Macon you knew what you are doing : “I know what the Hell I am doing,” you said. Really ? According to whom ? Because I cannot By God, find ANYONE who thinks you do know what the hell you are doing, and that includes now yourself as well Mark Richt. Which is it Mark Richt ? You know what the hell you’re doing, or this was all wrong from the beginning ? Which is it please sir ? OL+Brent Benedict+RFr.+Transferred to Virginia Tech

(18)S 59 Marc Deas – Derrick Lott announced he was transferring and Marc Deas followed the next day with the same. “With the news of the possible suspensions in the future for All-American safety Bacarri Rambo and starting linebacker Alec Ogletree due to drug violations, along with the suspensions of cornerbacks Sanders Commings and Branden Smith, Deas’ decision comes as bit of a surprise. Beyond Rambo and Shawn Williams, Georgia does not have a lot of depth at the safety position, which makes Deas’ choice to leave Georgia a bit of a mystery even to Richt. The loss of yet another player has also put Georgia in bit of a situation personnel-wise.” “You need as full of a boat as you can have,” Richt said. “You want to make sure you have enough guys out there to do all your special team work and everything. That’s part of the reason why we are making sure everyone is getting reps.”
(19)DE 30 Jalen Fields – failed to qualify here but inflated Mark Richt’s recruiting average like so many too many of these others as well, it was widely known he did not have the grades to get in, spent years at Georgia Military and then years at Louisiana Lafayette, then their coach said they parted mutually before 2014 season just quitting there as a back-up.
(21)RB 1 Isaiah Crowell – Dream Team Isaiah Crowell was given a scholarship because Washaun Ealey’s arrests/suspensions/kicked-off who then was replaced by Caleb King’s arrests/suspensions/kicked-off. Enter Isaiah Crowell, who was arrested on a felony weapons’ charge. Crowell also said teammates Blake Tibbs, Quintavius Harrow, Josh Harvey-Clemons and Sheldon Dawson, who were passengers in the car, had just left a club called Aftermath, according to the police report. The arresting Athens-Clarke County Police officer also stated she smelled marijuana inside the 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis that Crowell was driving. Crowell said they were drunk. Crowell had been suspended for the 1st Quarter October 15, 2011 and then was suspended the whole game November 5, 2011, both prior to this incident and there were MANY incidents on the field as well leading to all of us standing up and booing the kid. The entire crowd, both teams, stood up and booed with us at the Georgia Dome when we LOST 10-42 to LSU in The SEC Championship Game, widely described by Mark Richt Apologists as something Great Mark Richt did that he won The SEC East to get us there. There were other incidents too. We played Florida October 29th, and Thursday 27 October he failed a drug test, but was allowed to play against Florida 2 days’ later despite the double-blind positive drug test, which caused him to be suspended not October 29 for Florida but November 5 for New Mexico State college. Isaiah Crowell the # 1 RB in the nation of Carver Columbus was the LEADING RUSHER for both teams, Georgia AND Florida, getting the most rushes and the most rushing yards in a narrow 4-point win for Mark Richt. THEN, he was suspended AFTER the Florida game for failing the drug test Thursday prior to the game. Defenders of Mark Richt said they could not convict Isaiah Crowell, despite all the evidence prior as well, and despite the double-blind NCAA conducted drug test Thursday prior to Florida game Saturday because he was INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. Obviously, they have never had the NCAA mandated drug test where it simply is not possible that either were innocent, and Mark Richt knew all that Saturday October 29, 3 days’ after the failed drug test by Carlton Thomas and Isiah Crowell, a mandatory at least 1-game suspension according to The University of Georgia WRITTEN POLICY – written by Mike Adam$ after all these arrests/suspensions/kicked-off gave HIM the Fulmer Cup National Championship in a season Georgia would start out # 1 and end # 13 in the AP Poll – had they started # 13, they would have ended-up outside the Top 25 – it was that bad – also described variously by Mark Richt Apologists as a GREAT SEASON, which it wasn’t by ANY stretch of the imagination. Was it ? Carlton Thomas and Isaiah Crowell, BOTH failed that drug test Thursday before Florida and BOTH were suspended for New Mexico State, not Florida, by Mark Richt who could’ve suspended them forthwith for either. Carlton Thomas also played against Florida. At the time, we ALL called for both to be suspended for the Florida game. We all found out about the failed drug test that Thursday night from Tweets from the players, and from the discussion again on the team bus leaving to Florida that they had FAILED THE DRUG TEST. This was improperly handled by Mark Richt, too. Wasn’t it ? Mark Richt LOST 4 games this season, BOTH of the 1st two games and BOTH of the last 2 games of 2011. It was NOT pretty sight all these mounting LOSSES and all these arrests/suspensions/kicked-off all 2011 season as well. It has been on-going never ending after 2007 for Mark Richt. Mark Richt kept sending mixed messages to the troubled-child in his doghouse and out of it all season long, seemingly every game; where even when he was playing, he seemed to be dogging it on the field according to teammates and most especially according to all of us fans AT THE GAMES like me. We even bought a Bust Boise T-Shirt at the Georgia Dome Game. Want it ? I’ll pay you $ 25 to take it. I am ashamed to even do yard work in it. Kicked off team by Mark Richt FINALLY, transferred to Alabama State college whatever that is, and now Cleveland Bad-Boys NFL where he has rushed for 546 yards this his rookie season there with Cleveland Browns December 15, 2014. It’s all a sordid mess for a player recruited by other schools, but whom Mark Richt signed and then kept sending mixed and contradictory messages to the kid. Interesting how the same very kid could have no issues with the coach at Alabama State or Cleveland. Isn’t it ? Dad laid the law down at our house, and Dad’s Dad was a Baptist Preacher. Every football coach I have ever heard of lays the law down, except Mark Richt who continues on, happy as a pig in shit, telling his recruits he signs that he LOVES them when he kicks them off. Mark Richt kicked Jasper Sanks of the team, and a month ago, Jasper Sanks said Mark Richt turned his back on Jasper Sanks, who it has been proven did NOT fumble against Georgie tek, as I said at the very moment it was called a fumble. Mark Richt because of his RELIGION, does not know how to teach the recruits to obey the rules. Obeying the rules is the definition of DISCIPLINE. We had discipline in our house of 7 from my Dad. Punishment is a punitive measure by those who are RESPONSIBLE for teaching discipline, which is not discipline but the end result for not teaching discipline. Mark Richt Apologists have NEVER LOOKED-UP THE WORD DISCIPLINE and to the day, still call punishment discipline, when Discipline is teaching to obey the rules, and punishment a punitive measure applied when the person to whom it REPRESENTS POORLY, punishes the kid harshly for their OWN FAILURE to teach the kids to obey. Funny isn’t it that some people obey the rules and others get confused, and do not obey the same authority. Trust me, all 7 of us represented our family when we were anywhere. We answer to the family, still, and always. Washaun Ealey before Isiah Crowell was arrested leaving scene of accident, failed to show-up for disciplinary running, suspended multiple times by Mark Richt for violation of team rules, asked to transfer by Mark Richt by mutual agreement, transferred to Jacksonville State, arrested there on drug possession charges. And, before Isaiah Crowell, Caleb King too was arrested multiple times including DUI here at UGA, flunked-out after all that lax program we run here where anything goes, kicked-off, went to NFL Vikings where he also was arrested and kicked-off.

(27)S 136 Quintavious Harrow – after other incident above, Dream Team Quintavious Harrow – Safety – Garden City Community College, flunked-out. The only reason offered scholarship was to get Isaiah Crowell. I did not like the use of my scholarship monies on this lowlife in the 1st place and said it loudly on all blogs as it was offered. Mistake from the beginning and everyone knew that. Was also a horrible influence on Isaiah Crowell. Bad element. Idiot as well. Didn’t fit in. Didn’t belong.

They covered it all up in-house, but did kick all 3 off the team for it. Later, at Auburn, Nick Marshall was arrested. This arrest was for possession of drugs and for illegal window tint to cover the use of drugs.
(39)QB 8 Christian LeMay – Kicked-off high school team senior season after we gave him offer. Mark Richt never wanted this guy here or his little brother. Mark Richt only wanted to be able to say, see ? See how I maintain offers after injury and after being kicked-off your high school team ? See ? I am a great guy. Come here play for me. I do it the right way, despite all the bad press and despite all the losses. Transferred-out to Jacksonville State college January 2014.

They covered it all up in-house, but did kick all 3 off the team for it. Safety 2014 JUCO transfer to Baylor.
(48)CB 11 Sheldon Dawson – violation of team rules, suspended, then after all that bad attitude arguing coaches who to play and what plays to run, rumored transferring to Memphis
(49)RB 13 Todd Gurley II – admitted sold autographs for 2 years for $3,000 unreported income, suspended for 4 games threw the entire team into turmoil, then Mark Richt after he had not played from Oct 4 to Nov 15, left him in for 29th carry to gain a 4 TD lead with a 3 TD lead already only 5 minutes remaining when Todd already was nursing a previous injury in this same game and was seen compensating for the injury he already had – also had a 100-yard kick-off return called back. He was worn-out beyond all get-out, and it was a bitter cold windy day – Mark Richt criticized widely for leaving him in, did not do so next game with Nick Chubb. Has ins policy paid for by UGA which he no doubt will have to invoke in the NFL Draft he was going to be a Top 8 pick in – announced from hospital he is the only Bulldog to say he will declare for early entry into the NFL Draft. Mark Richt would be liable if Todd sues him personally in addition for gross negligence.

(62)FB 2 Quayvon Hicks
(63)DE 18 Leonard Floyd – this is the 1st time we recruited him and inflated Mark Richt’s recruiting ranking because he failed to qualify academically.
(64)TE 18 Ty Flournoy-Smith – arrested for filing false report of a crime, then Josh-Harvey Clemons admitted to UGA police that Josh had been doing drugs in his room and Ty was in the room with Josh – so Ty was kicked-off the team and Josh was given a 1-game suspension for the opening game for this offense that cost Ty his scholarship here and got Ty kicked-off the team. The police report read that the dorm room wreaked of drugs that permeated the hallways. Had this gone in Colorado, Oregon Washington, and Alaska this incident would have been illegal because of their age. In ADDITION to all that, the books he said were stolen in a sworn police report, were turned-in by him for cash later. Ty Flournoy-Smith is Tight End Alabama 2014 playing in the play-offs and # 1 in the nation.
(68)OT 31 DeVondre Seymour – failed to qualify, at Hinds Community College Mississippi, nephew and adopted son of Richard who I thought deserved Super Bowl MVP quite clearly he was the star of the game.
(74)CB 19 Brendan Langley – Started at Free Safety against Missouri in 34-0 rout, played in 5 other games 2014, transferred-out, did not get a snap against Georgie tek, but did the game before, already not listed on roster

(78)S JC Shaquille Fluker – Safety – Transferred-out also to Jacksonville State for 2014 season after recruited here JUCO from East Mississippi Community College but never got a single snap here at UGA.
(79)S 34 Paris Bostick – Safety/Linebacker – Mutually Transferred-out 2014 to Iowa Western Community College, forced out, forced transfer. Butted heads with Mark Richt in bold fashion. I’ve done that myself. If you have, it is because of me. “I mean, best of luck to all the other recruits and everybody who’s up there, but I’m not coming up there to sit on the bench and wait my turn. That’s not me.” Jerked around from Safety to Inside Linebacker and buried at that position with all the issues we have in the secondary, quite obviously. Quit. Forced Out. Both. He did not want to be buried on depth chart at ILB but PLAY in the completely depleted Secondary. This one is on Mark Richt too, and he and he alone, as he is the coach. It ALL REFLECTS on Mark Richt and his mismanagement of the talent. Doesn’t it ? When it is THIS PREVALENT, and at positions of needs, Mark Richt’s REPEATED STUBBORNNESS, is a character flaw caused by his Christian Beliefs where Mark Richt is sure he is Forgiven, so he does whatever the Hell he wants to do, even though it is in DIRECT CONFLICT with his $ 3.5 million CALLING, supposedly to be our head coach – not some damn Christian Minister. I go to Church, but I would not make these decisions. This is because I am balanced and know that being a preacher like Grand Dad is NOT my calling in life. His, yes sir. That’s fine, but do NOT make decisions that are directly because you THINK you are a PREACHER when what you SAID your calling is is to coach our kids. There is NOTHING we adhere to here more important than winning and making decisions which lead to success on the football field and off the field representing YOU MARK RICHT and us well, both on the field and off. You just don’t get it Mark Richt. Quit coaching and preach, sir. Quit the charades. I am not in the least bit fooled by your RELIGION Mark Richt. Know why ? I have spent MORE time in Church than you have Mark Richt, only led to the Lord by Bobby Bowden and that not long ago. You’re just confused Mark Richt and NOT CENTERED, sir. You also have not done shit after 2007. What’s that all about ? 2011 was not the only year Mark Richt had no OL. He had the same problem 4 previous times, and each time went out ONLY THEN and recruited 7 OL in one season. That’s just bullshit Mark Richt. 2008, you had this problem with your OL. 2002, you had this problem with your OL. 2003, you had this problem with your OL. 2004, you had this problem with your OL. Why the same recurring problems with your OL, Mark Richt, son ? What’s the deal here ? Can’t you communicate Mark Richt ? You surely struggle with communicating with the Press, too, don’t you ? Remember the fan in Macon, you quipped back to with I know what the Hell I am doing. Remember ? All this storm from ALL THESE OLD-SCHOOL BULLDOG FANS, and yes 1 guy has been dogged in this from the get-go : ME ! And, Mark Richt in his stubbornness, has made NO EFFORT to communicate with the base who PAY HIM $ 3.5 million a year. Know why ? Because he is freaking stubborn. By the way, stubborn is not a Christian personality trait; in fact, it is completely the OPPOSITE of Christian personality traits. Christians are NOT stubborn. Christians are completely the opposite of stubborn.

Transfer Georgie tek – obviously, they NEVER let us have 1 of their players who quits their team but for some really odd reason, we allow very talented players who started for us this season – J.J. Green – to transfer to Georgie tek. All we ever did with this talent was jerk him around here, and he is a crowd favorite who kept his nose clean and stayed out of trouble. Fine young man. Excellent football player, EVERY position, they jerked him around to and from. 2-way player. Probable NFL Draft Pick. Good guy. Put up with a lot of crap here, which the coaches pulled on HIM.

This 2015 Recruiting Class, Darnell Salomon is arrested felony burglary on recruiting invite here July 23, 2014. The beat goes on, and the losses therewith.
This 2015 Recruiting Class will end up the # 8 in the nation, which is what Mark Richt averages 2001-2014.
But, is it really ?
Isn’t Mark Richt really with only 73 of these 119 remaining to play in the bowl game all he has left of the 119 he signed who with a redshirt year would be playing, just double-dipping himself ? Isn’t he just replacing those who are arrested/suspended/kicked-off ? Isn’t that really what we do and have been doing after 2007 here, while we lose as a result ? While our dumbass head coach tells us that we have something more important than winning we do here at Georgia.
We do ?
Yeah, replace all the arrested/suspended/kicked-off. It’s a full-time job by itself, never mind the dumbass coach thinks his calling is not to be head coach UGA but preacher man.
What will we do next year ?
It will not be one damn bit different, at all. Will it ? Come on now, you can say it !
Based on what we’ve seen after 2007, Mark Richt will lose inexplicable losses to despicably lousy not nearly as talented teams, and not be competitive with the very top teams either, oh, and we will have a year 2015 with bad press of arrests/suspensions/kicked-off and more lies about all of this.
Drink the Kool-Aid. This guy has become one bad coach on and off the field, hasn’t he after 2007 ?
The 2nd Half of the Mark Richt era 2008-2014. What he did do 2001-2007 was so long ago, it’s not relevant any more :
2001 Miami won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Larry Coker 1st year as head coach.
2002 Ohio State won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Jim Tressel 2nd year as head coach. This while Mark Richt went 0-13 on 3rd Down vs unranked final AP Poll Florida and lost to that lousy team.
2003 LSU won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Nick Saban in his 4th year as head coach.
2004 Auburn* won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Tommy Tuberville in his 5th year as head coach.
2005 Texas won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Mack Brown in his 8th year as head coach.
2006 Florida won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Urban Meyer in his 2nd year as head coach.
2007 LSU won a 2nd national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Les Miles in his 3rd year as head coach. This while Mark Richt lost not only to lousy vols team in a blow-out by 3 TD, but also lost to 6-6 South Carolina who did not even go to a bowl game. There is no way Mark Richt deserved to play for the NC compared to LSU who beat 7 ranked teams. No sir.
2008 Florida won a 2nd national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Urban Meyer in his 4th year as head coach.
2009 Alabama won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Nick Saban in his 3rd year as head coach.
2010 Alabama won a 2nd national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Nick Saban in his 4th year as head coach.
2011 Auburn won a 2nd national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Gene Chizik in his 3rd year as head coach behind Cam Newton Heisman Trophy QB now NFL fame, who dumbass Mark Richt recruited as a damned Tight End and told Cam so. Cam Newton was no more arrested at Florida for stealing a lap top and throwing it out a dorm window into a dumpster than Nick Marshall was arrested stealing over $ 500 cash from the locker room because our Chief of Police here was interviewed and he said NO ONE CALLED THE POLICE on Nick Marshall et all, even though it was a felony.
2012 Alabama won a 3rd national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Nick Saban in his 5th year as head coach.
2013 Florida State won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here, Jimbo Fisher in his 4th year as head coach.
Alabama 7th year of their head coach, Oregon Mark Helfrich in his 2nd year as head coach, FSU 5th year of their head coach, or Ohio State Urban Meyer in his 3rd year as their head coach will win 2014 national championship.
Mark Richt era 2001-2014, fourteen seasons, average number of years it took this century for a coach to win national championship is 3 years.
48 divided by 13 years is 3.69 years it took all the teams of this century to win a nc with a new head coach. We’ve had ours 15 years next year. Time is up ? No improvement ? In fact, all the same mistakes all 15 years ? Losses all 14 seasons to-date against less-talented worse ranked teams, inexplicable losses all 14 years for Mark Richt ? Yes.
“He is a wonderful guy. He’s a good Christian guy. He wants to be a missionary, goes on mission trips. That’s a wonderful thing. But do you know the religion of Nick Saban? Gus Malzahn? Or Chip Kelly, playing for the national championship? I don’t think we care what their religion is. That’s their business. But we hire them to be football coaches. If we are going to hire a religious instructor, let’s go to the Candler School of Theology…and get some of their people to come coach our football team.” College and Pro Hall of Fame Fran Tarkenton. “I think Greg McGarity has got to look at this awfully hard. I think the signs are that we have a program that’s in big trouble.” Dawgbone Index does not give you URL Links to Fran Tarkenton’s WebPages anymore. Want to know why ? “We either didn’t choose right or we didn’t coach right, because we didn’t have success,” Fran tells us. Better to drink the Kool-Aid of the one-sided purposeful censorship of Fran Tarkenton by Dawgbone Index, like that is the only source of Bulldogs’ News. Hardly, in fact, I use it only to find bullshit from the bullshit crew to lambaste from pillar to post.
Because I sure as Hell am not happy with this damned program right now, on or off the field.
It’s coaching. We have plenty of talent. Talent everyone else recruited as well, only when they come here they are given mixed messages contradictory to winning and having a team morale that is ready to play every week and wants to play to their best that EVERY game. In fact, Mark Richt tells our players, all of them, exactly the opposite of that, that no matter what they do or ever will do, he LOVES them. How in the Hell does that teach them to obey, Pray Tell dumbass ?
I’m the only 1 ? Fran Tarkenton is the only 1 ? Have you read what Todd Gurley II said about how mediocre we are and how sick and tired he is of it ? It’s bullshit what’s going on, and I am calling you out Mark Richt. Get with the program or hit the highway, and I hold no hope with your Stubborn disposition that there is any way in Hell that you can all of sudden get with it. You’re not capable of it. Your goals are those of a preacher man. I love preachers, but I have yet to see a preacher coach a major college football program. Ever.
There’s something here at Georgia that is MORE IMPORTANT THAN WINNING, you bragged 2 weeks’ ago Mark Richt. Ah, shucks Mark, what is it ? I give up ?
Does this look like this is a problem here ? Well, does it ? Here is the summary on this page alone, players who with a redshirt year would be playing in this 3rd tier bowl game December 30 with only 2 SEC teams playing before us this entire bowl season :
5 Failed to Qualify
12 Suspended, some up to 3 times.
2 Bad Attitude
1 Questionable Medical Disqualification for kid with nothing but drug problems & brother
23 Quit or Transferred
15 Arrested, again, some multiple times
2 Injured after offer, ended-up Medical Disqualification
4 Medical Disqualification
Note some made multiple categories here, lighting up all the bells and whistles – such as Arrested/Suspended/Kicked-Off or Suspended/Transferred – therefore, since these are not mutually exclusive categories, there were not 80 who had one or more of these categories checked-off; but by God Above there are 80 in these categories – sometimes checking-off multiple categories. URL Links are provided to each. Macon.com ran a similar study a few years’ ago for Georgia, and it was not a pretty sight either.
Think we have no problem here ? That would be impossible to pass-off on anyone, wouldn’t it ? I knew it was this bad before I started, living each of these Mark Richt incidents, and just be glad that I did not give the details of all these losses here and the reason I did not is because I have already covered that detail on this blog for you with URL Link too, but I will leave you with that URL Link again here now to close because who we’ve lost to is clearly very very bad :
I wrote this in direct contradiction to a blog post about this fine young man where the blog author called him a traitor 3 times. When I completed my reply, below, my comment was awaiting moderation. I waited for it to be posted, and it still is not.
That’s censorship because I disagree with the guy, who by the way when you do a search for his name on Google, does not even appear anywhere.
J J Green is a really fine player who our coaches jerked around again and again and again from position to position to position – all totally different positions. Then, we don’t even play him. As a Starting Player this 2014 season for Mark Richt, Mark Richt let him get into only 8 games, 1 as a Starter for Mark Richt. That’s just wrong for a guy Mark Richt should have appreciated more and at least let him play in all 12 games – something he routinely does with even walk-ons all the time, letting THEM play in all 12 games. Heck, Mark Richt lost to 3 far less-talented teams this season 2 of whom only won 6 games each all year and one of those who fired their coach the next week. Why can’t JJ Green, who he jerked around from position to position at HIS whim, play in all 12 this season ? Traitor ? Seems to me he was the consummate team player, and there is nothing that will ever change that view. Last season, he played in all 13 games 5 of which Mark Richt lost. Mark Richt named JJ Green Starter for HIM last year several different games. In all Mark Richt played J J Green 13 games 2 years’ ago and only 8 this season. That’s it. He is a fine athlete, a good man who never got in any trouble here, like the 15 arrested/suspended/kicked-off this 2014 year alone, and has very good grades including Honor Roll.
Handsome man with an infectious smile, it would not surprise me 1 bit to see this AJ-C Super 11player, elsewhere named the # 27 best football player over-all in the state of Georgiabe Drafted by the NFL. Here he was the recipient of the Doug and Diane Magnus Family Athletic Scholarship.
This is a black mark on Mark Richt’s name. A really nice guy, but not much of a football coach at # 20 won/lost record the latest 7 years, and most of those only wins over nobody teams. An embattled coach over just such decisions as this entire sordid story – start to now finish. The Mark Richt Apologists, nonetheless are out in force to somehow paint this up-standing young man somehow in poor light and Mark Richt, once again the good guy doing it the right way. Bullshit to that.
You cannot lose players of the caliber of this fine young man. He epitomizes everything that is right about college football, and has been one of my personal heroes for years and years here. He won NATIONAL WEEKLY AWARDS representing us, filling-in whenever and wherever Mark Richt told him. If I were his parents, I would die proud.
A freaking traitor you little dipshit ?
Piss on you.
I am sorry, but I cannot find anything to criticize JJ Green on. He played well on defense when Mark Richt turned his back on the entire secondary, and last year on offense when Mark Richt found his entire running back corps injured. As for Georgie tek, I cannot fathom not blocking his move there, as Georgie tek has done on EVERY SINGLE ATHLETE in every single sport FOREVER. JJ Green will play extremely well for Georgie tek, and is a 2-way player who comes to Georgie tek whose coach now does not even have a losing record at our house all-time. At UGA, JJ Green was a 2-year Starter for Mark Richt.
Look, we have now 73 remaining signed scholarship recruits of the 119 signed by Mark Richt who would have been playing in the bowl game for Mark Richt with a redshirt season. A bowl game only 2 other SEC teams play before us, when Mark Richt has lost 3 of his last 4 bowl games. This is our problem around here nowadays, that we lose to 3 less-talented teams this year alone, and spent the entire 2014 year in bad press with 1 arrest and suspension and kicked-off after another. Mark Richt is a very fine man, but his coaching is # 20 nationally the latest 7 years and # 5 in just The SEC. It’s a shame that we have to think up terms as supposed Bulldogs’ fans who really are just Mark Richt Apologists for a team player like JJ Green other than team player who Mark Richt just jerked-around from position to position and showed NO LOYALTY TOWARD even with all his team player proven efforts for years and years FOR Mark Richt. That he goes to Georgie tek is bad for UGA – really really bad for us, as it will be used AGAINST US in every single recruiting opportunity by Paul Johnson. There is no other way to look at this. Camden County ring a bell to anyone ? What will JJ Green say to kids from Camden County ? What will JJ Green say to anyone considering Georgie tek and Mark Richt ?
Do you want me to tell what he will be saying ?
You have the unmitigated numbnutts to post all these days later about this young man, in some weak ass effort to prop-up embattled Mark Richt ?
Rue that decision, son.
Addition by subtraction ?
Let me explain in business, when you win a sale against other competitors that you not only won the sale, but you took monies away from your competitor.
That is a double-win regarding that competitor. They would’ve made money that they do not have, and instead you have more monies.
IDIOT Mark Richt Apologists read such a statement by me, a point far and wide regarded as a smart comment by EVERYONE EVERYWHERE, and why folks come to my blog and read what I have to say – smart comments by a smart man who cares ONLY about our football program, and say huh ? Or fluff over it, too hard to comprehend the good point. 1 good point after another I make. Daily. In this case, we do (1) NOT HAVE JJ GREEN who Mark Richt named as 1 of his STARTERS for the 2 years last year and this year and (2) Georgie tek gets him for his junior and senior seasons, always the best 2 years of any player ever anywhere. He has NOT TAKEN HIS REDSHIRT SEASON YET, EITHER. As I understand this, JJ Green came in early January. So, he might have enough credits to play 2 years there under 1 rule or another. Either way, he plays at least his senior season there. I see players transfer who do not have the credit hours JJ Green accumulated here already. It’s close as to whether he gets to play his Junior year there too. I think if he continued another semester, he might. I graduated in 3 years myself from UGA, so I know he might be close, or could’ve been close. Hells, Bells, I had 239 credit hours, when you only needed 180 for BBA from UGA. I graduated from UGA in actually the time JJ Green has been here already. But, let’s call it Senior year only there he gets to play. That’s probably how that works out for him, since Dean Fluellen had to personally sign my registration every single time because of the course overload. 3.88 GPA made those quick arguments Dean Fluellen never won. I took every class under the sun, for example every single Law Course The University of Georgia teaches. Just 1 example. I took every Accounting Course UGA offered. All. I took all the business studies, wanting to learn. JJ Green in either case, does NOT certainly get to START for US his JUNIOR and SENIOR years, and that is really all I care about. What he does at Georgie tek, I do not care about and will not follow. I will not see him play except 1 game.
I am not a fan of teams who consider us their # 1 Rival.
JJ Green ?
Yes, you and I and all of us Bulldogs’ fans have ALL been fans of JJ Green.
Turning your back on him now calling him a traitor is childish and stupid, at best.
It’s going to work out for him, and does NOT work out for us losing him his junior and senior seasons.
It works out for Georgie tek in 2 different ways : (1) He plays there his senior season at least. (2) He is Camden County, a perennial hotbed of such JJ Green and Brice Ramsey players.
Brice Ramsey has been jerked around by Mark Richt too.
What does Mark Richt have to do NOW, given this, with regard to Camden County ?
Well, for 1, he has to name him quickly as Starter 2015, or Camden County will be in a huge uproar. I can tell you of the 20,000 who read my blogs, Camden County fans are included. They know, Brice Ramsey was better than dip Hutson Mason.
Jacob Park Mark Richt might have wanted to be a 4-year starter here, but now with JJ Green leaving quitting Mark Richt as so many others with only 73 of 119 signed by Mark Richt remaining now with JJ Green only the latest and certainly not the last, Mark Richt has to consider now Camden County – in addition.
Mark Richt has such issues with OTHER NOTABLE high schools through the years, where decisions had to be made in FAVOR of their players, or NO MORE ACCESS.
Either way, in this case, Camden County is NOT HAPPY.
Favoritism in reverse.
This is a double-whammy on UGA with regard to Georgie tek.
Frankly were it not for the SANCTIONED blogs by Index DawgBone, I would not have anything to say.
Maybe this guy will have the balls to put my post up there later tonight. Maybe he will not come here and read my reply. Maybe he will have the balls to come here and reply to my reply ?
All I know is he is taken to task, and I am quite certain he’s wrong for THESE REASONS HEREIN, and that I am right.
EVERY WORD, CORRECT.
Addition by Subtraction ? Hardly. Simply subtraction and just when he would’ve been in his JUNIOR YEAR for us 2015. Simply subtraction multiplied by 2 with regard to Georgie tek. Doubly bad with regard to Georgie tek. Everyone knows the best 2 years of any recruit are his JUNIOR and SENIOR seasons. JJ Green will NOT have those here, and for that, I am saddened. I liked the guy. We all liked the guy. He was a CROWD FAVORITE as we all cheered him on and spoke very highly of him. I wish nothing but the best, and am disappointed that we have yet ANOTHER attrition here with his name. I’ll guarantee you he will be a STARTER at Georgie tek, or anywhere else he goes. He will graduate with honors, and he will be contributing toward the athletic program his entire lifetime – unfortunately there too it will not be to UGA. Mark Richt messed this player up from the get-go, and deserved to have this happen to him. Mark Richt reads the words on this blog on this transfer and knows in his heart of hearts, that he did JJ Green wrongly, while giving preferential treatment to trouble makers and bad press makers who did not do whatever Mark Richt asked them to do. You get any of that ?
Mark Richt screwed-over JJ Green big-time, a team player for Mark Richt who was on the Honor Roll here and never bad press, but a fine player – who will not be playing in this 3rd tier Belk Bowl.
Damn it Mark Richt, I presume you are doing all you can do to build up Georgie tek this year. If you told me that was your goal this year Mark Richt, I would find zero evidence to refute it.
Classic Dawg GloryUGA.com calls this fine man J.J. Green who has done EVERYTHING right in his classroom off the field and on the field playing wherever Mark Richt TOLD HIM TO PLAY whether it was his best position or NOT a “Traitor” because he wants to SUPPORT Mark Richt and be in fact a Mark Richt Apologist saying Mark Richt does it the right way.
NOT with J.J. Green Classic Dawg GloryUGA.com did Mark Richt begin to do it the right way.
Now, did he ?
JJ Green a STARTER for Mark Richt 2 different seasons a STARTER for Mark Richt Mark Richt could not bothered to even put him in for 1 snap except in 8 games this lousy horrible 2014 season.
Lost to 6 teams who were not ranked for the year they beat us in either the AP or Coaches’ Final Polls, even with their win over us – unranked either poll :
2009 LOST vols a 6-Loss team 19-45, unranked either poll for season
2009 LOST Ky 6-Loss team home 27-34, unranked either poll season
2010 LOST Colorado 5-7 by 27-29 unranked either poll season fired coach
2010 LOST Florida 5-Loss team 31-34, unranked either poll season coach quit
2014 LOST 6-6 South Carolina, unranked either poll for the season
2014 LOST 6-5 Florida, unranked either poll for season, fired coach
In addition to losing to these 6 who were not ranked in either Final AP or Coaches’ Polls :
LOST Okie State 2009 who was NOT RANKED Final AP Poll even with win
LOST Central Florida 2010 who was NOT RANKED time of game AP Poll
LOST Vandie 2013 who was NOT RANKED either poll time of game coach quit
LOST Nebraska 2013 not ranked either poll time of game not ranked Final AP fired coach
In Total after 2007 – the 2nd half of the Mark Richt era – he has LOST to 10 teams who :
(1) either did not make the final polls for the season or
(2) were unranked at time of game when they beat him or
(3) even with win over Mark Richt did not make the Final AP Poll Top 25
LOST 10 games he SHOULD’VE NEVER LOST in 7-year period to teams far less talented who were LOUSY TEAMS, inexplicable losses.
God Almighty – that’s all I’ve got to say.
God Almighty damn !
Obsequious Georgia Bulldog Fans (really just Mark Richt Apologists) just make Mark Richt’s job a cushy damn job, don’t they ? Why do we settle for this shit ? Why do we allow these Obsequious Fans to NOT ALLOW us to discuss religion when discussing Mark Richt ? What the friq’ is that all about, when that is exactly what is wrong with the coach Mark Richt – not the man – the damn coach. All of his problems on and OFF the field, are ALL related to his religious bullshit. Nothing else. Just his religious hang-ups. They contradict and counter-mind what his goals here are. On lax discipline, religious zealots always are wimpy about teaching even their own kids to obey the rules; they believe that they are forgiven – therefore, they do not concern themselves when their children do not obey – shit, they tell their own kids when their own kids do exactly that which they do not want them to do that’s it’s ok – they LOVE them anyway. What total abject hogwash approach to teaching them to obey the rules is that ? It sends really not even a mixed message, but sends a conflicting message directly diametrically opposed message to the message they really wanted to send on obeying the damn rules.
Mark Richt is FORGIVEN for all this crap going on on and off the field for us the latest 7 years here ?
The friqin’ Hell he is.
He has 2 masters. Really, everyone knows Mark Richt only has 1 master : Jesus Christ. Nothing else. Never has been anything else. We cannot discuss this ? Excuse the Hell out of me, we cannot discuss this. We sure as Hell can discuss this. Mark Richt does not care about winning – that much is patently obvious not only from his own direct quotes such as there is something more important than winning here that we adhere to here at Georgia. The freaking HELL there is ! When he should be preparing the team to GATA against our # 1 Rival Florida, he spends his time praying to Jesus Christ, and really doesn’t give a shit if we win or lose which is why he’s 5-9 against Florida. This is the whole entire problem with our football team right now that there is NO SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE, and that Mark Richt can hold dear as more important than winning, something HIGHER he claims as our $ 3.5 million annually head coach. We do not pay him $ 4 million of my hard earned monies to have some other more important than winning here, objective. If he wants to be a damned preacher, have the friqin’ damn Church pay him $ 4 million a year, and we will go find another “COACH” who can do better than the results provided to you with URL Link by me here on this blog post. I am fed-up with the holier than thou friqin’ Christians telling us all what we CAN and CANNOT discuss about Mark Richt. He’s flawed and its sole cause is his Religion. He’s out of balance. His calling is NOT PREACHER. His calling is COACH of Georgia Bulldogs’ Football Team – there is NOTHING that should interfere with that ! NOTHING. He wants to go to Church on Sunday ? Fine, I do too. But, I damn sure don’t sit there feeling FORGIVEN that in my calling, I always admit AFTER another INEXPLICABLE LOSS that well, I was thinking about something else on the sidelines and screwed-up, AGAIN. He doesn’t think about football; he thinks about Jesus Christ. Get the picture, get it right in your mind, that to discuss Mark Richt without discussing his religion is something the religious zealots who want to control what you TALK ABOUT and what you THINK ABOUT our football team, will not allow you to talk about. When anyone anywhere anytime tells you what you CANNOT discuss, ask yourself if you intend to SUPPORT such a site ? I’m not stupid, not with a 3.88 GPA at UGA. This is the whole underlying uncontested topic that must be discussed. Am I getting through to ANY of you, or you intend to be told what you can and cannot discuss by someone who obviously does not want THIS DISCUSSION RIGHT HERE ?
Are you friqin’ tired yet of being told what you can and cannot say about our football program ?
Especially when that very topic is EXACTLY the ONLY PROBLEM we have on and off the field ?
Excuse me ? I cannot talk about this ?
Forget you then, for I will be damned if I will not discuss this exact specific topic any damn way I want.
Mark Richt is not our college football coach at The University of Georgia – this is NOT his calling here. He has a different calling. He only uses his position and monies from this subservient lesser importance not primary job in life for him, to further his more important to him goals – all of which are completely in contradiction to winning football games and teaching his recruits to obey the rules on and off the field.
This is why EVERYTHING on this page has happened to our football team.
Therefore the religious zealots tell you you cannot discuss religion on topics online about UGA football and Mark Richt. You have to mind your words about the dumbass decisions Mark Richt has made, because those decisions were not made with winning in football here as their objective.
You better think about this, talk about this, get this out in the open, if you intend to do more in talking about Georgia Bulldogs’ Football under Mark Richt than to be told that which you cannot discuss for obvious reasons.
What in the hell has happened to us the last 7 years ?
Pre-season 2014, as every pre-season around here, Bulldog fans replied to my blogs that we were on the brink of breaking through when I pointed out the facts of our 15 arrested/suspended/kicked-off all of 2014 and when I pointed out the facts on our Won/Lost Record after 2007 and when I pointed out our record against teams who made either the AP or Coaches’ Polls after 2007.
Are we ?

Florida State won a national championship in the Mark Richt era here
Alabama, Oregon, FSU or Ohio Statewill win 2014 national championship
Mark Richt has not even been invited to the damn game, not with his inexplicable losses to less-talented teams EVERY YEAR.
* Auburn in 2004 went 13-0 while Southern California had to VACATE their national championship for cheating, and returned their BCS Title Trophy and returned their Coaches’ Poll Trophy. Obviously, Auburn is # 1 for 2004, which is how history is going to record this. In 2004, Mark Richt lost to a mediocre vols’ team at our house, allowing them to play Auburn in The SEC Championship and us to stay home, again, not in the running even and Mark Richt lost to Auburn. We were NOT in the discussion. There is no excuse for the loss to the should’ve been 4-Loss vols at our house 2004. None. It cost us everything, and propelled Auburn to what it did do 2004, which Mark Richt did NOT do, as always. We had a lot of distractions 2004 season off-the-field with arrest after arrest and suspension after suspension, but losing to mediocre should’ve been 4-Loss vols 2004, ruined our season. Didn’t it ?
2002, Mark Richt went 0-13 on 3rd Down Conversions against should’ve been 5-Loss Florida of Ron Zook, who even with his win over Mark Richt was NOT RANKED in the Final AP Poll Top 25 for 2002. There were a ton of arrests/suspensions 2002 as well, but the loss to should’ve been 5-Loss Florida an unranked team for the 2002 season even with their win over us, did us in. We were NEVER in the discussion 2002 because of the loss to Ron Zook. In fact, Mark Richt is 5-9 vs Florida including MANY losses to poor less-talented Florida teams, like 2002. At the time, we cut Mark Richt some slack for that because well Ray Goff sucked. MANY fans today, think that Georgia cannot be expected to compete. ? All these other teams have in the Mark Richt era, and we cannot ? I am sorry I do not buy-in on that settle for NEVER being in the discussion even bullshit. The ONLY reason we are NEVER in the discussion with Mark Richt is that (1) he has his recruits you gave him high praise for signing, recruits who every other school recruited too but they got into trouble here because he does not teach them to obey the rules – which is his job for his recruits you brag on him for bringing here – and because (2) he loses EVERY STINKING YEAR to far less-talented teams whom he should NEVER LOSE TO who EVERYONE ELSE BEATS.
2007, DISNEYdawgs.com complained to all of us that we DESERVED to be in the discussion that we were quote the hottest team at the END of the year; but again 2007 Mark Richt’s recruits were in the bad press for arrests/suspensions because we run a lax ship here where teaching them to obey the rules is lax and where punishment is harsh and of course, in 2007 we lost to a 6-6 South Carolina team that did not even go to a damn bowl game of any kind 2007 but beat us when everyone else beat them, and we lost to a should’ve been 5-Loss crappy vols’ team 2007 by a complete blow-out of Biblical Proportions 14-35. A 3 td loss to a team who should have had 5-Losses 2007, but we not only could not beat them, we were not even prepared and made no effort and got embarrassed on national TV just when we were way high up in the polls. Everyone noticed. As a direct result of the turmoil off the field 2007, and coupled with the horrid losses to both 6-6 South Carolina and should’ve been 5-Loss vols 2007, we were NEVER in the damn discussion. This really pissed-off the Mark Richt Apologists who did then, and still do now, try to make-out 2007 as the greatest ever and Mark Richt just screwed. No. What happened in 2007, is quite clear. It’s the same every year of the Mark Richt era. Isn’t it ?
There are no other years to discuss, Mark Richt starting his 15th season next year here. Every year is the same. We ain’t on the freaking brink of anything, except that 2015 will find us in the bad press for arrests/suspension/kicked-off and more horrid LOSSES to lousy teams EVERYONE ELSE BEAT.
Mark Richt is therefore incapable of being on the brink of shit, except with the damned DISNEYdawgs.com who all this off-season will tell you we’re ALMOST there. We ain’t almost anywhere.
When he can go through a damn season without daily being in the press for bad press arrests/suspension/kicked-off as a distraction all year, and can go through a damn season without losing to lousy unranked teams and teams everyone else beat that year but Mark Richt, teams far less-talented than The Georgia Bulldogs, wake my ass up !
Mark Richt just told us all. I have a question, is that true with our 29 Losses current 7-year period, an average of more than 4 Losses a season for 7-year period today ? Coupled with our 15 arrested/suspended/kicked-off this 2014 year alone, I find this utter bullshit. How about you ? Is Mark Richt trying to control what we think, as some damn master manipulator ? I just think he is full of shit, personally. But, you are welcome to your opinion that we pay him $ 3.5 million a year, and that HE is held to some OTHER standard, other than (1) Win and (2) Keep the recruits out of the bad press, by teaching them to obey the rules. I mean HE is the one who got all the credit for the recruits to come here. How can it be someone else’s problem than his and his alone that he teach them to obey the rules, have them ready to play, not take 3 lesser opponents USCe, FL and Georgie tek lightly, keep them out of the bad press, and win ? Do you really buy in on this ? Do you ?
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations and you are not in this world to live up to mine. I am I and you are you, and if by chance we meet : It’s beautiful. Dr. Fritz Perls.
You have an entire thread about how bad this program is right now, and all the under-lying problems and one little shit, Scooby-Doo, inserts his 2 cents into it that aw shucks 9-3 doesn’t seem that bad to me, and Mark Richt will have no problem finding another job.
Either make your friqin’ point, Junkyard Dawg, or do not. I could care how you go about it. But, I will be dipped in shit if you are going to say that there is some decorum to which you adhere I don’t that says that you can call me out for mistreating poor little Scooby-Doo for giving us the company line that all is well in Athens, everything is positive, we’re doing great, and Mark Richt is the best coach in America who does it the right way on and off the field. We are in our 3rd longest stretch dating back to 1932 were we’ve NOT won The SEC Championship in Football. We have tremendous talent in-state and should NOT be losing to unranked teams as often as we do every year and should not be losing to top 15 teams at the rate of # 45 in the nation either these last 8 years. I don’t give a shit what Mark Richt did 2001-2007 as I loved him then too and still do really – I just want his sorry ass held accountable or fired for LOSING after 2007. Losing to any ole team who even makes a bowl that season he loses to them at barely over 50% after 2007. And I want you God Damn Mark Richt Apologists to HEED my point that you are in a defenseless position saying Mark Richt IS great when he HASN’T BEEN after 2007, has he ?
It does not matter how good we are, he can’t beat anyone after 2007.
Hold him accountable to WIN.
Fire him when he keeps this up as he has after 2007, for which YOU alone defend him : Just the Mark Richt Apologists.
Guess what ?
I will ram it down your God Damned Throats that Mark Richt I once supported and now don’t and WANT GONE.
Your blog Dawgs.com will NOT ALLOW ANY discussion of Mark Richt and Religion together as a discussion. God Damn IT that is the WHOLE PROBLEM here that HE THINKS there is some other more important goal than winning.
There is NOT.
Our Depth Chart is so decimated as I detailed yesterday that we can not possibly win.
You are DISNEYdawgs.com fans to think Mark Richt can turn this around. He doesn’t even want to. He doesn’t care. Fire his sorry ass.
Quite defending him.
YOU LOST this argument to me and you KNOW IT !
Where will the LOT of you be when he is FIRED ?
Nowhere to be found ?
You’re God Damn Right you will be.
And STILL telling us then that he was a nice guy.
I say he is a nice guy.
And a shitty assed coach who has to be FIRED.
Fran Tarkenton has been telling you we need to FIRE him.
We don’t even practice Special Teams at the G-Day Games and yet without a special teams’ coach as 100 of his peers FBS Division 1-A have, he routinely has the # 100 Special Teams. He doesn’t care. Trophy for EVERYONE.
At best he is stupid as shit.
At the worst he is using his public office to stump for his Religion.
In EITHER CASE, his pay of $ 3.5 million a year is for winning.
He has transferred-out great talent playing us in games and BEATING the shit out of us.
If we EVER want to win our 7th NC in Football we MUST fire Mark Richt.
Mark Richt has been a total abject failure at 68 % win percentage after 2007 with the # 9 average recruiting ranking with 8 losses who are not Top 25 teams, and won only 10 of 33 who made either the AP or Coaches’ Top 25, while only 4 of 20 teams he faced who were ranked higher than him this current 7-year period has he beat. This while I have documented 40 attrition all of which was ALL NOTHING BUT BAD PRESS in the 2nd half of the Mark Richt era, alone. And, while I have documented fifteen (15) arrested/suspended/kicked-off just in 2014 alone so far.
You do not have to agree with me. You are you. I, however, am given the God-Given Right to My Own Friqin’ Opinion and no man of your stature sir, shall deprive me of this.
I refer you sir to the following piece, again by Bill Shanks of the Macon Telegraph :
“There’s something besides winning that’s important here”
Mark Richt just got out of his lying lips.
I refer YOU, Junkyard Dawg sir, AND Scooby-Doo, to read this article this time, gentlemen.
As for how much you appreciate the others defending Scooby-Doo and his ilk who run onto every Bulldogs’ blog and tell us how GREAT Mark Richt is, and how to frame it when they cannot possibly make the case that Mark Richt has been great in his 2nd half of his career here, I saw dawgs_fans_dad say that EVERYONE ELSE recruited all these arrested/suspended/kicked-off too.
Pardon me, but they GOT INTO TROUBLE HERE, where Mark Richt is given such high praise for recruiting them here, where HE Mark Richt does NOT teach them to obey the rules.
Teach them to obey the rules is the definition of discipline.
No matter how many times I teach you and they this, you and they will NEVER GET IT.
That’s not my fault.
They say, after he kicks them off the team here, that Mark Richt TURNED HIS BACK ON THEM.
Punishment is NOT discipline, but once again, discipline is teaching to obey the rules.
We run a lax ship here, and have for 14 seasons, marked by BAD PRESS and BAD LOSSES all 14 seasons, bar none.
I have read what you have written and what dawgs_fans_dad has written and what Scooby-Doo has written Junkyard Dawg, sir. None of the 3 of you give the details. None of the 3 of you stick to the point. None of the 3 of you hit the nail on the head. None of the 3 of you have done the research. None of the 3 of you have provided the 1st ever URL Link to prove your point.
That is ALL I do here.
You offer opinion Junkyard Dawg. But those are like assholes : Everybody has one.
I offer detailed research and facts with URL Links to verify the facts. I offer it right up front before I am asked.
Readers of this blog, CLICK the damn URL Links. They see the facts.
We know the facts, here – all the 20,000 readers of this blog. I know. I get a report of their CLICKS of the URL Links.
We are not afraid of going 6-6 some season, as Scooby-Doo scolds us we might without Mark Richt.
As I rightfully said to the little shit and now again to you asshole, Mark Richt was 6-7 just in 2010.
Worry about going 6-6 some fictitious season in the future, maybe, as to why not make this such a cushy damn job where this is acceptable – nay, lauded as GREAT ?
You defend this ?
Re-read what it was exactly that Scooby-Doo said that caused me to reply to him, not to you ok ? Read it if you’re man enough. He says he is NOT a Bulldogs’ Football Program Fan and NEVER HAS BEEN. That his Daddy made him go the games, and that now, he does NOT go to the games, as I and the rest of us, do, in fact go to the games. He EVEN said he DOES NOT GIVE A SHIT about our program.
He ONLY is a Mark Richt Apologist.
He NEVER was ANYTHING ELSE.
He NEVER ever WILL BE anything, but.
Fine, sir. You want to laud others for defending him. Go ahead. Bring it freaking on.
Step right up son !
By the way, the manner to deal with posts online is to : NOT CENSOR.
Ban the post ? Remove the post ? Say the post is WRONG and DELETE IT ?
Not here, sir. Not on my damn blog son.
You sir, are NEVER GOING TO BE IN CHARGE OF ME.
Not now, not ever.
I am an ultra magnanimous person. I allow and champion others’ RIGHT to speak their mind, whether I agree or do not. I think our recruits are actually very well educated and well-read, and KNOW all this. I therefore think this should be out in the open and all of us discuss this.
dawgs_fans_dad No, sir. You are not a celebrity but a guy who called me out for being over the top to Scooby-Doo when Scooby-Doo you defend therein said right then in THAT POST that he really doesn’t care about our football program, does not go to the games, and only when his daddy made him go as a child did he go, and even then hated it. You AGREE with people like this dawgs_fans_dad because of your over-the-top criticism of me for 2 long decades of online posting going all the way back to Athens Online, and Access Atlanta. You have NEVER supported MY RIGHT to MY OPINION ever on Bulldogs. This is who you are : Not a celebrity son. You’re a bitter person who believes only your own opinion matters and that others’ and certainly not your own – stinks to high heaven. You post to CENSORED BLOGS ONLY where no one is allowed to really reply.
You are just bitter that I speak my mind and want to control what I say. You want to ban, censor and make my comments your own or remove them. That is all you have EVER wanted dawgs_fans_dad . Maybe you do not know who I am. But, I sir know who you are from all of our discussions for many many decades online. I remember better than you remember. You will NOT tell me what I can and cannot think and say, sir. I never have attempted or even suggested the same for you, sir !
You are not my mother.
You do not like it that I think it wrong that Joe Cox played the whole game against Okie State and no snap even for Zach Mettenberger as I called pre-game because I frigin’ hated Joe Cox. You think you’re right and that I have no right to such an opinion. I said the same about Joe Tereshinski III starting instead of Matthew Stafford. And, I said the same about Hutson Mason starting instead of Jacob Park and Brice Ramsey – hell, even instead of Faton Bauta – all 3 of whom would NEVER HAVE LOST to USCe, Florida and Georgie tek.
You think I have a right to speak up to a point.
That I go over that line when I Heaven Forbid criticize a damn player.
I am not some player’s here dad, but a walk-on myself. I have favorites. I have those who I criticize because they By God have it coming.
Were I Joe Cox, I would’ve told Mark Richt I cannot go full tilt, but Zach Mettenberger will do better than I on this day, sir.
Were I Joe Tereshinski III, I would’ve told Mark Richt, can I sit-out today and you play Matthew Stafford ? I’ve spoken with him and told him I think he’s better than I.
Were I Hutson Mason, I would’ve told Mark Richt I appreciate you holding me on like this and all and that that is the only reason I did not transfer to South Carolina State college, but both Jacob Park and Brice Ramsey and probably Faton Bauta are ALL better quarterbacks than I who run the ball better than I and who certainly throw the ball better than I as a college QB, Mark Richt sir. I’d love to play some, but please start ANY of them instead. I’m a Bulldog.
I am a Bulldog.
You’re a bullshitter who wants only to control. To criticize not my ideas, but that my entire post should be banned, censored, deleted.
Excuse the hell out of me, but YOU do say and would say that the other QB listed by me just now in this section of this blog today, are ALL BETTER than the 1 you SAID I should NOT BE ALLOWED to criticize. You say the reason for that is that THEY were not paid with a scholarship I pay for for them, and which I did NOT have at UGA which my roommate, did.
I think I am entitled to my opinion, dawgs_fans_dad and I do not give a shit what you think about it since you agree with me and obviously only have a hard on to censor me from mine while of course your own is just fine with you.
It doesn’t matter what I say : You’re not going to like it.
Stick it where the sun doesn’t shine.
I will say what I want to say, and I do not have to conform to your weird incongruities and non-sequitur logic.
Moreover, if you have something to say to me, say it to me – not to someone else about me.
Being the complete be-in-charge guy you are, that doesn’t even register on your screen. Celebrity ? Son, you are so not a celebrity as reading you say today you are because of this blog post right here, makes me puke.
Now, go say whatever you want to say behind my back such as you didn’t say any of this.
Sure, you did. It’s all you’ve ever said online to ANYONE any time.
That you have the right to say whatever you want and NO ONE ELSE !
No matter how illogical.
Because well, yours doesn’t stink to high heaven – just everyone else’s.
Now, if you have the guts to criticize me – do so here to my friqin’ damn face, not behind my back to someone else – like there is a DAMN THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD WRONG with me saying ONLY Hutson Mason on our roster could have POSSIBLY lost to Nebraska, South Carolina, Florida or Georgie tek – let alone all 4.
JUST AS EVERYONE DID REPLY TO YOU dawgs_fans_dad that I am not NEARLY the only to have the audacity to offer-up on MY OWN DAMN BLOG RIGHT HERE, YOU TAKE EXCEPTION to but do not have the decency here to reply to me about when and where I actually made such statements.
MILLIONS OF BULLDOGS’ FANS feel EXACTLY as I on this.
34 unanswered points by our # 1 Rival means Hutson Damn Mason did NOTHING.
His very last pass was a 4-yard pass at the 5-yard line, intercepted.
And, he damn sure was a deer in the friqin’ headlights handed the ball by our Defense 1st and Goal from the 4-yard line the end zone covered with debris from the sure-we-would-lose fans.
And, as for Nebraska, he SETTLED for 4 field goals for 12 points instead of 28 points to lose to another unranked team.
Look, dream-up whatever excuse it is I cannot say what I say that you and everyone else says too.
But, get off my case, and try for once to do some research, go to the games and have an opinion of your own – for once.
Once in your lifetime.
As to :
ogredawg Any reply here on this blog where the discussion is unabated is fine. I do not have to adhere to your arbitrary decisions to suggest ban, censor, deletion, or editing – none of which occurs here and which should not be allowed as a topic there, either.
It’s wrong as it is to say that a football coach should be judged on something other than winning and good press.
If my points are correct, as you say they are ogredawg then why again is it that I should post to a censored blog where one can call me out and say it’s wrong therein for me to call someone else out ?
That’s a rhetorical question ogredawg do not feel that you have to reply. It’s obvious as hell.
The Mark Richt Apologists have been VERY VOCAL and nasty as hell to everyone daring to discuss this point, Junkyard Dawg sir. Not that you know this. I do. Others here on this blog reading this do.
On the other hand, I believe rather than CENSOR and bury our heads in the sand that now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their FOOTBALL PROGRAM, not the Christian head coach. 95 % of all of America are Christians. I am a Christian. You are a Christian. He is too. He is ALSO a lax guy on teaching to obey the rules and frequently is side-tracked by ALL THE BAD PRESS, and fails to have his men ready to play at the worst possible moment EVERY YEAR.
THERE IS NO SUCH THEORY : There is something more important than winning here that we adhere to here at Georgia.
Hell, he’s # 20 in Won/Lost Record current 7-year period for Top 10 All-Time Wins UGA Program, averaging more than 4 losses per season for the entire 2nd half of the Mark Richt era after 2007, which is # 5 in The SEC.
I and you and WE Bulldog Nation pay him $ 3.5 million dollars a year to win.
other than to KEEP HIS RECRUITS HE GETS SUCH HIGH PRAISE FOR BRINGHING HERE out of the BAD PRESS.
He has done NEITHER after 2007, a period of 7 long excruciating years – the 2nd Half of the Mark Richt era, here.
He’s lost 21 games the latest 5-year period, which includes a redshirt year, for the 27 I just detailed will not be on the roster next year who are on the roster today. This list, as I indicated and documented with 51 URL Links in that one (1) blog yesterday does NOT include a single one of the 40 ATTRITION prior to today. This is as detailed as I know how; this is as specific as I am capable; this is as documented proof as I can possibly muster, sir; this is as up-to-date and correct as I can get it for you – and nowhere can you find it better : Sir.
He lost 29 games after 2007, an average no different from his 5-year average of MORE than 4 Losses a season.
Look, guy, believe whatever the hell you want to believe ok son ?
Say, whatever you freaking want to say.
Contradict your point all you wish.
Buddy-up with the Mark Richt Apologists and SUPPORT THEM for I friqin’ care.
But, do not tell me, which is what you did twit, that dawgs_fans_dad you appreciate defending Scooby-Doo with his little crap about how I take this seriously the current state of our dilapidated football program both on the field and off, and he does not. And, that OTHER SCHOOLS RECRUITED all these same recruits which are on my arrested/suspended/kicked-off ATTRITION LIST, when they did not sir get into trouble there but here where the discipline is LAX and where the punishment is HARSH.
I do not require that you agree with my point, and I dare say I do not expect you to agree with it that Mark Richt sucks.
He does, but I welcome your own opinion to that, never mind how defenseless it is in direct contradiction to the KNOWN FACTS presented herein with URL Links, spelled-out in gruesome detail.
There is NO EXCUSE for all the 15 arrested/suspended/kicked-off 2014 alone, sir !
It’s as intolerable as the 8 losses to unranked teams after 2007.
“There’s something besides winning that’s important here”
If you, or Scooby-Doo, or dawgs_fans_dad, Junkyard Dawg, want to censor my enthusiasm on these 2 co-joined points that 73 is all we have left today of 119 signed scholarship recruits YOU gave and still give ALL THE CREDIT to Mark Richt for signing here, who with a redshirt all 119 would play in the bowl game – the 3rd tier December 30 Belk Bowl having only 2 SEC teams play a bowl game BEFORE us this bowl season – and that he’s lost 29 games an average of more than 4 per season for the latest 7 entire freaking horrid friqin’ seasons of bullshit of the highest order on and off the field, you can
C/OL David Andrews 2nd Team All-SEC Center, Starter all 12 games

OLB Leonard Floyd, Honorable Mention All-SEC (3rd Team), Starter all 12 games except KY, may put name on NFL Draft and may leave it there, even though he is a better player than we saw 2014, could really benefit from another year of motivation
Todd Gurley II, Starter 5 games, played in 6 games, 2nd Team All-SEC last year, great guy should never have been left out there with a 3 TD lead to get a 4 TD lead with 5 minutes left in game, has insurance policy paid for by UGA, will have to use it, has had injury issues including earlier in the game he was left out there in cold and wind having already carried it carrier high 29 times plus the TD return on the kick-off. Todd Gurley II has declared for the NFL Draft already now, from the hospital.
OT/OL John Theus – may declare with Leonard Floyd and Todd Gurley II, Starter all 12 games, Honorable Mention (3rd Team) All-SEC
OLB Jordan Jenkins – Starter all 12 games, may seek where he would be drafted
Nick Chubb will be named All-America. You must be named consensus All-America to be named to the College Football Hall of Fame. Aaron Murray never was, and has yet to take the 1st snap in the NFL while Zach Mettenberger has been a Starter in the NFL for the last 6 games in a row. I told you both of these too in 2009, having watched both personally, as a former db.
There could be some surprises, as there always are – given that we do not know their grades’ situation, so some may declare because of their grades. It’s obvious that in addition to all the many players kicked-off and transferred-out who will be in this 2015 NFL Draft, that there will be a lot of Georgia Bulldogs well-represented in the up-coming NFL Draft and signing-on thereafter as undrafted free agents.
Best of luck to all of them.
It was not my Dream that they’d average losing more than 4 losses a season.
It’s a group, collectively with a redshirt season here, should’ve NEVER LOST 21 games here these latest 5 years as we did at only 45-21, only a 68 % win percentage and averaging OVER 4 LOSSES a season, the same as Mark Richt has been averaging after 2007- the 2nd Half of the Mark Richt era – MORE than 4 LOSSES a year.
Who are all the possible players we might lose after this 2014 season ?
Andy Landers 935-306 and 75.34 win percentage in his 39th season talked after the game how Michigan State purposely made it a free-throw contest with their strategy to foul our ladies, but we hit our free throws and Michigan State drops now to 1-4 against us all-time. When Mark Richt has a 75.34 win percentage after 39 seasons, let me know ? Mark Richt is 73.22 win percentage, and only 68.48 after 2007 – the 2nd half of the Mark Richt era. What Mark Richt did 8 to 14 seasons’ ago is not nearly as relevant as what he’s doing now – which is NOT good as the # 20 team nationally after 2007 in won/lost. All Louisville has is a defense.
Andy Landers, inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame coincidently 2007, improves to 10-0 knocking-off this poor sportsmanship ranked team. Suzy Merchant would never get away with her whining about her own strategy of purposely fouling us and sending us to the free throw line, criticizing the officiating after getting their butts beat by our gals. Shacobia Barbee is our leading scorer, our best player, and leads us in 7 categories, but when she was driving to the basket, Jasmine Hines left her man, and under-cut Shacobia Barbee, ending her day only 3 minutes into the 2nd half. Georgia controlled the game from the outset and the game was never in doubt.
Shacobia Barbee had built us such a big lead, that even purposely fouling us, only got Michigan State back to a 9-point loss – their 2nd loss of the season. Andy Landers recruits very well from Detroit and always has.
I look for the Big 10 to punish Suzy Merchant, Michigan State coach of 9 years, for her criticism and poor sportsmanship after the game.
Andy Landers does not get into that kind of crap. Hard-nosed and defensive-minded, Andy Landers has built his reputation not on recruiting, but on damned discipline on and off the court. His gals graduate, all of them. He puts up with no bullshit from his gals, and gets in their grills on the average about every 5 seconds – all season long.
Demanding and tough, you will not find Andy Landers’ Lady Bulldogs making bad press for UGA. There are only 8 coaches who have won 850 Division 1 basketball games at one school, and Andy Landers is set to pass 2 more of the biggest names in college basketball history shortly now.
Shacobia Barbee is expected back next game. Maybe their coach will not send out the goon squad to undercut a lady on her way to a lay-up, nor send her troops out to purposely foul, and then cry wolf afterwards.
Mark Richt, who at one point had a 81 percent win percentage here, has dropped-off considerably the 2nd half of his career here. Not so with Andy Landers, who does it the right way on and off the court – despite the fact that he would benefit greatly from having facilities anywhere near the resources and facilities handed to Mark Richt.
Mark Richt is a better recruiter than Andy Landers, as a direct result thereof.
But, Mark Richt is not the no-nonsense type coach Hall of Fame Andy Landers is.
The nation’s 1st team to 10 wins, Andy Landers has 27 games on national TV this season. I’ve watched all the Lady Bulldogs’ Basketball games my entire lifetime. The SEC Network carried the game at 4 p.m. Sunday and carries all the Lady Bulldogs’ games this season.
Mark Richt nor Andy Landers have ever either won the national championship.
One is laid-back and trophy for everyone, and the other as tough as nails and in their faces. One stays in the news for bad press of recruits also recruited by every other coach. It’s not that Mark Richt recruits the wrong element. He simply does not have the intestinal fortitude to instill discipline like Andy Landers, and as a result, Mark Richt has all these issues while Andy Landers is completely the opposite.
68.48 percent win percentage after 2007 for Mark Richt is all directly resultant from not recruiting guys no one else wanted, because they were; but, had they gone elsewhere, they might have had a coach who gave a shit. And, took charge. And, taught them to obey the rules. Perhaps our best player, Mackenzie Engram was benched for making a basket today. She instantly was taken off the court, blessed-out on national TV at the top of his lungs, nose-to-nose and dogged on the bench all because her game is an inside game and she was not going toward the basket, but fading away. She nearly didn’t get back on the court, recording only 11 minutes.
Mackenzie Engram is my hero, and her older brother from Powder Springs, is Tight End at Ole Miss. A fine-looking gal, she tallied only 1 rebound and 1 of 3 from the field including 0-1 from 3-point range – worth 3 points – for only 2 points and 1 rebound in 11 minutes’ action.
Andy Landers was making a point.
Mark Richt tells players he turns his back on and kicks-off the team here, he loves them.
1 gets it.
I am certain that Mark Richt cringes to watch Andy Landers get after his gals like he does. All day, everyday.
Andy Landers averages 25-win seasons here at Georgia for now his 36th season here.
Andy Landers does not have a cushy damn job, like 1 who will go unnamed.
# 14 Mark Richt faces Todd Grantham and # 21 Louisville in something called a Belk Bowl, 150 miles away on December 30 at 6:45 pm, and Todd will have Tony Grantham coaching his inside linebackers but will not have Josh-Harvey Clemons or Shaq Wiggins until next season. Both, excuse me all 3, stayed in the bad press here for Mark Richt. Tony is Todd’s brother who he tried to get hired here, too. Louisville, who has an “indoor practice facility” of sorts – pretty much a hut, joined the ACC this season, and is unremarkable except their defense.
Louisville, with the same 9-3 record as Mark Richt, but just does not have the resources and facilities, is coached by Bobby Petrino. Perhaps you remember him here in Atlanta where he bolted from the Falcons jilting them, and adored his motorcycle and motorcycle bimbo ? I have pictures of all that up on my blog here awhile ago now.
The Prime Time Game that Tuesday night features two different 5-Loss teams Maryland and Stanford in something called the Foster Farms’ Bowl in Santa Clara California. Oh, boy. 2nd fiddle to that ! All the bowl games again this season are on ESPN channels, except for 2 lone ABC games.
The PAC-12 failed to send six (6) of their teams to a bowl game, while The Mighty SEC has only Vandie and Kentucky not bowling. That means Florida is going to a bowl game, this season, for a change. South Carolina is too.
We’ve never been to the damned Belk Bowl.
I hope we never go again.
I wish we weren’t going now.
No SEC team has ever played in the weenie “bowl.” It was formerly called the Continental Tire and then the Meineke Bowl. It is played at the Carolina Panthers’ stadium with a capacity only of 74,455. Charlotte, dead of Winter. Joy. I’d say we got the shaft, but I think more like it’s Mark Richt who got the shaft. It does add another different Bowl Game we’ve been to, and we lead the nation at that.
3 of the last 4 bowl games, Mark Richt has lost. True to form in his 2nd half of his career here.
They do have salt in Charlotte, unlike Atlanta – so ice is not an issue getting to the game – less than 2 hours for us.
The bowl has been an ACC tie-in.
The bowl paid $ 1,700,000 last year with an attendance of only 45,211 and a 3.1 Nielsen Rating.
The only SEC teams playing before us this “bowl” season are 6-6 South Carolina and 6-6 Arkansas.
It’s a slap in the face to DISNEYdawgs.com who told us on sanctioned blogs that we might still play in one of the 7 Big Bowl Games, as lately as just yesterday. Want to be sanctioned ? Come up with some bullshit like that. You will find my reply at the bottom of said sanctioned blog. “Er, Uh, no will shall not play in one of the 7 Big Bowl Games this season sir,” I replied to his blog yesterday.
So, 12 SEC teams go bowling and only two 6-6 teams (one of whom beat us – er uh, beat Hutson Mason) play before we do.
This sport is not known for wuss coaches.
What sport is ?
Let’s brag some more on his once long-ago 81 % win percentage, disregard his 68 % win percentage the 2nd half of his career here, and let’s get all excited because well it’s Todd and Tony Grantham !
Mark Richt could not stomach the non-Christian attitude that Todd Grantham exhibits, only. They butted heads nearly every day. Mark Richt could not stand Todd Grantham.
We were told by Todd Grantham that he left to up-grade himself to Bobby Petrino from Mark Richt and to upgrade himself from here where he did not have an Indoor Practice Facility.
We were also told how great Louisville was going to be this season.
There are 10 Georgia boys from here on their roster, but the 2 former Bulldogs’ kicked-off sort of like Bobby Petrino was from The SEC after multiple arrests and suspensions here, do not begin their career there until next season. I do still say Shaq Wiggins was not kicked-off as reported by SicEmDawgs, but transferred after his arrest last January.
How come they are called cardinals and Stanford who plays Prime Time after them, are called Cardinal ?
Because Stanford’s mascot is the color.
Don’t get confused by the bird.
That’s what I’m flipping Mark Richt.
It seems I have quite a following – folks who do not want to write having not read what I have to say on the topic.
Or, be lambasted.
And, so we come to the close of another Bulldogs’ year. Another year of arrests, bad press, suspensions, kicked-off players and coaches we have to face, and another worthless bowl game – one very much at the bottom end of the 39 bowl games. And, another year by God Above of losing to teams who are not as talented as we, and not ranked even with their win over us.
Lesser teams going to better bowl games.
“Lesser” coaches doing better than our own $ 3.5 million dollar Christian doing it the right way – man.
Alabama gets Ohio State, who jumps TCU because TCU played the # 69 strength of schedule, while Ohio State played in the Big 10 Championship Game and that alone improved their SoS all the way to # 21. For 23 years, The SEC has said how important this Championship Game we started is a huge boost enabling our teams to play for the national championship. That we play a tougher game. The Big XII bragged they did not want a championship game. TCU’s opponents are 57-56 on the season. Ohio State’s now are 76-57. See any difference there committee when you told us strength of schedule would be an important component ?
Click : Football, then click MISC reports, then click strength of schedule.
# 12 SoS Alabama
# 21 SoS Ohio State
# 35 SoS Florida State
# 45 SoS Oregon
# 55 SoS UGA 59-52 as it turns out, our schedule was easy – only we inexplicably lost to 3 less-talented
Official NCAA Strength of Schedule.
Louisville, by the way, # 66 SoS.
Therefore, rightfully, TCU dropped 3 places (sound like UGA 2007 ?) and Ohio State JUMPED them.
Booby prize is Ohio State gets to play Alabama.
Ohio State has played 12 bowl games against The SEC, and NEVER WON.
Ok, so Alabama gets the Sugar Bowl bid against # 4 Ohio State, whom UGA would beat like a damn drum, take names, and spit out.
FSU likewise and I am on record we’d beat Oregon I said all season, face-off in the OTHER semi-final Rose Bowl.
Then, The SEC’s Alabama beats their fannies.
The bottom line on year 1 is that there were NOT 4 teams. That the committee had to come-up with 4 only meant # 5 and # 6 were VERY CLOSE to # 4.
According to the committee, were it just a 2-team play-off as previous 16 years, Jameis Winston would be sitting his dumbass down.
Let’s follow this logic. TCU # 69 SoS sits their lonely asses down so # 21 SoS Ohio State instead can have their brains beat in by yet another SEC team in a bowl game. The committee will learn from this, and soon not make such a match-up ever again, right ?
They’re people. So, when they are given H-E-L-L for pitting Ohio freaking State against The SEC yet again, I get to say I told you so.
Along with 350 million others.
But, # 45 SoS Oregon of the lousy PAC-12 with 6 non-bowl teams to our only 2, is the # 2 team and would’ve played Alabama any other year prior to 2014 season, according to the damned committee. FSU undefeated # 35 SoS would’ve stayed home, so they travel out West to face the cupcake city scheduling Oregon in the stinking PAC-12. The SEC will have the most bowl wins AGAIN this season, as always. # 45 SoS, seriously ? # 45 SoS is the 2nd best team in the nation and in all prior years, would’ve left undefeated FSU out in the damn cold, committee ?
Are you really that stupid ?
Like I say, there were NOT 4 teams 2014 season.
I will buy there were 3.
So, 4-team play-off fits fine.
Notwithstanding the bullshit hidden not public voting of the committee to prop-up useless as tits on a boar Ohio State and state unequivocally were they in charge all previous years, applied as their logic this season, undefeated FSU would have sat on their collective asses liar Jimbo Fisher and all and watched the game, like Mark Richt.
If it’s transparent, and all votes are public as we demanded of the lying cheating coaches in their votes of bullshit, we might actually learn something about all this hogwash.
As it is, suffice it that FSU would’ve been sent packing. Undefeated, defending national champions – sent home without a chance.
+1 therefore works.
To save the souls of the worst committee put together in the history of mankind and we’re to understand to stand as is for 3 years.
I believe it should be FSU against Alabama because (1) the committee said SoS Almighty God ! and because (2) Oregon had a seriously easy row to hoe at # 45 SoS and STILL LOST.
You with me on this ?
But, as it is +1 I have no qualms. TCU ? Bullshit on the Big XII and purposely not having a conference championship because they want to will all their monies to Texas Longhorns. Choke-la-homa. Baylor. TCU. Texas. Hogwash !
# 82 SoS Baylor
# 69 SoS TCU
# 64 SoS Choke-la-homa
Hells, Bells, Vandie plays a better schedule strength than ALL of them.
I believe all real college football fans, know the Big XII has been given all these opportunities, like Ohio State, and blown their future chances, thereby.
I just have to comment on this POWER 5 bullshit. Again, Power 5 is something created by these weenie conferences to adjust their glasses and say it’s almost as good as a Xerox commercial for The Mighty SEC !
If the committee is going to vote like THIS, then they can have ALL their votes public like we made the Coaches’ Poll do when these same Big XII coaches were all voting as a block for their OWN.
Last Coaches’ Poll prior to final poll made public – the 1 used to determine who WE as fans of this damn game wanted to see in the nc game.
All of a sudden, Duke at # 25 by Steve Spurrier because he coached there once, ends.
New year, new set of rules, new set of problems
Last year, it was Richard Billingsley and Jeff Sagarin et al. Now, we have to go through all this again with a different damn set of friqin’ experts telling us who is and who isn’t going to play in our nc game. A game WE the fans insisted on.
But, I see no reason for 8-teams. Not when there are only 3 this season.
Not because of THIS YEAR.
Maybe, however, because of the stinking committee !
Non-sequitur decisions by the committee !
Hidden, smoke-filled room, decisions that defy their own poll of just a friqin’ week ago.
(1) Josh Harvey-Clemons – suspension 1 Jan 2014, then suspended for 3 more games to begin 2014 for 2nd offense of drug use January 16, 2014, and then thereafter all that, kicked-off team in February 2014, Louisville. Also, see Ty below for further violations and suspensions of this same player. This is, in all, 4 bad press for this one recruit. A recruit recruited by other teams, as well. It’s not that Mark Richt recruits guys who no one else recruits because they do. It’s that Mark Richt runs a lax ship, no better delineated than with this player. Training them to obey the rules is discipline. Punishment is kicking them off the team, which is not discipline, but turning his back on them they say after they are kicked-off. Mark Richt is given great credit for signing, for example the # 8 recruiting class 2015, but somehow no fault is assigned to Mark Richt in this cushy damn job when they in case after case have multiple arrests/suspensions/kicked-off the team. Of course, all these incidents are ALL a reflection on Mark Richt.
(2) Sheldon Dawson – suspension 1 Jan 2014, then played in 2 games 2014 including Clemson game 1 and then the vols’ game, none after, see below for additional incidents with this player as well.
(3) Shaq Wiggins – arrested 12 January suspended license failure appear & speeding, kicked-off team according to SicEmDawgs, I was told he transferred-out. Sometimes transfers are at our request. Other times, transfers-out are mutually determined to be in the best interest of the signed scholarship recruit. When you lose as many signed scholarship recruits as Mark Richt does, it not only reflects poorly on Mark Richt and the player, but it also causes our recruiting ranking upon which Mark Richt’s reputation is based to be inflated. He over-signs beyond the scholarship limit because he is replacing so many just gone. Those who are gone add to those Drafted by the NFL he recruited here, and cause Mark Richt’s signed scholarship recruits to remain in the bad press. We were told Mark Richt was not going to suspend this player from any game, despite the bad press of his arrest in January, but we are also told this player had a bad attitude in the weight room and got into it with the coaching staff; I do not think there is any question whatsoever that (1) Shaq Wiggins was bad press for Mark Richt and that (2) he was not happy here. None of this is good for recruiting and there damn sure is no addition by subtraction. Addition is addition. Subtraction is subtraction. The only addition by subtraction is negative one.
(4) Uriah LeMay – 4 counts criminal arrest including cashing check of roommate, transfer. You recall, of course, that 1st his brother was kicked-off his high school team AFTER Mark Richt offered him, for his senior season. Mark Richt maintained that scholarship despite the incident. He never played him. He did not want him. But, he maintained the scholarship. Why his unruly little brother thereafter seeing his brother Christian did not play, wanted to come here, is beyond me as I stated at the time. For 5 years, between these 2 brothers, Mark Richt got nothing but bad press and nothing on the field from either. Their father is a preacher, but both kids were nothing but hellions, nothing but bad press, and then in the end both transferred. Mark Richt would’ve done better to have dropped the scholarship offer once Christian LeMay was kicked-off his high school team his senior year. A ruling, by the way, confirmed upon challenge. Apparently, Mark Richt was after this guy all along, because he sure as shit did not want Christian LeMay.
(5) Tray Matthews – took 3 known already cashed checks to bank, criminal arrest, kicked-off team, blessed to be an Auburn Tiger he said June 16, 2014.
(6) James DeLoach – took 2 known already cashed checks to bank, criminal arrest, played a few snaps in 7 games including all 3 to begin 2014 but none of the last 3 games
(7) Jon Taylor – took 2 known already cashed checks to bank, his 1st criminal arrest of 2014, but not his last.
(8) Justin Scott-Wesley WR, arrested last October for marijuana possession, Mark Richt announced 25 March 2014 that “We’ll stay with our policies on that” UGA Policy specifying one-game suspension after returning from injury.
(9) Jon Taylor – arrested felony aggravated assault/family violence July 22, kicked off team. Mark Richt weighed-in on all this and said he wanted press meetings to be about football, not arrests/suspensions/kicked-off, and that if the press were to bring such topic back up, that he would not discuss them, but football. Greg McGarity said he was sick and tired of all the arrests/suspensions/kicked-off and that it reflected poorly on him, Greg McGarity. But, of course, Saint Richt – it does not reflect poorly on him at all. Nah. Not one bit.
(10) Davin Bellamy – arrested DUI July 16 by which time 7 of Mark Richt’s signed scholarship recruits were KNOWN to have been arrested in 2014 alone, suspended Clemson and South Carolina games
(11) Shaquille Jones – signed 2014 recruiting class by Mark Richt 6′ 2″ cornerback from Florida, played against Troy in game 2 as Freshman, arrested for shop-lifting October 5, kicked-off team October 5, 2014
(12) Sheldon Dawson – kicked-off team for arguing with coaches over plays to run and players to play, I’ve had those same issues with the coaches Sheldon Dawson, and Todd Gurley II certainly COULD tell the coaches the same points you argued, and that too is documented to everyone. Different set of rules for some than others. Preferential treatment. Perhaps Mark Richt was punishing Todd Gurley II when he had been unable to play from Oct 4 against Vanderbilt until Nov 15 against Auburn, that he left him out there until the bitter end. What Mark Richt feels is a matter of conjecture; what is not, is that his signed scholarship recruits reflect more poorly on him than they do on Greg McGarity. They absolutely reflect poorly on my diploma and my alma mater. I do not give a shit what you think about addition by subtraction, or that we’re better off without ALL these players. Obviously, that is bullshit given our losses every year to less talented teams – teams who did not recruit with these guys the level of talent we have as indicated by their recruiting rankings of # 9 on the average from 2001-2015 and as proven by their 81 NFL Draft Picks – both # 1 in The SEC and # 2 nationally only to Southern California. The 81 NFL Draft Picks by Mark Richt in his tenure here do NOT include those kicked-off transferred out. He goes after recruiting; he is known for his recruiting; his staff is put together to maximize recruiting; and his results on the field after 2007 are piss poor. I read a sanctioned blog today that said now is a great time to be a Bulldogs’ fan; he actually left my reply on his blog. Imagine that ? Maybe he thought he made his point ? Maybe he knew that it was a hard sell to try to maintain that with all this bad press 2014, losing to Georgie tek with the average # 52 recruiting rankings, and losing to two 6-win teams South Carolina everyone else beat and Florida everyone else beat and even fired their coach the week after beating Mark Richt, that going to the Belk Bowl on Tuesday night December 30 this weenie bowl no SEC team has ever been to, an ACC tie-in bowl, that well maybe his position is just a might off-center. It does, however, point to the fact that these Mark Richt Apologists really will try to frame a season as a great season despite the obvious evidence to the contrary. There is no way, no damn blog is going to paint 2014 as positive for Mark Richt when he himself was so testy all freaking year long over it – both on and off the field. Mark Richt is embattled right now today. Trying to tell me how happy I am right now, ain’t cutting it with me. How about you ? Is this really all you want to be allowed to read, that 2014 is greatest ever for we fans ? Bullshit is what I have to say to that. They want the job to be such a cushy damn job. I want us to fix this shit. There is no middle ground. There were numerous other suspensions 2014 but Mark Richt covered them up because the bad press was so bad and is so bad, that any more would have been intolerable for Mark Richt because Mark Richt damn sure knows this all reflects more poorly on him than anyone that so many did so much to ruin the reputation of The University of Georgia Bulldogs’ Football whom Mark Richt brought here and most importantly did NOT teach to obey the rules on and off the field. Why didn’t he ? Because he is a player’s coach, whom the players love who is like preacher’s families where the kids get away with any and everything, turning the other cheek and telling them they love them when they have heaped upon the family nothing but steamy shit all 2014. We became numb to it in 2014. If they kept up with it properly clearly Mark Richt would have won ANOTHER Fulmer Cup National Championship 2014, but they quit doing it any more. I never liked the way they counted it in the 1st place, keeping up with it only during the off-season; and disregarding how the damn team did on the field against lesser opponents. Yes, we beat 3 teams ranked for this 2014 season; are those wins maybe ever so slightly perhaps just maybe watered-down and obscured by the 3 horrid losses to less talented teams because of all this TURMOIL off the field ? If you do not know the answer to that question, you are NOT a Bulldogs’ Football fan, but a damn Mark Richt Apologist. How is that going for you, with the armies joining the bandwagon that they too are fed up with your bullshit, and his recruits he brings here to such fanfare who HE does not maintain discipline over ?
(13) Todd Gurley II – suspended 4 games selling autographs over 2 years, came back on cold windy day after not playing for 6 weeks’ time from October 4 to November 15 where he was left in the game to get a 4 TD lead with 5 minutes to go already with a 3 TD lead, career at Georgia ended with that decision by Mark Richt, when TGII was ALREADY injured earlier in the game and was compensating for that. UGA paid for insurance for TGII.
(14) Dream Team Nick Marshall kicked off team– Quarterback Auburn 2014
(15) Dream Team Chris Sanders kicked off team– Safety 2014 JUCO transfer to Baylor
(16) Demetre Baker – Linebacker – South Alabama Tailback
(17) Ty Flournoy-Smith – arrested for filing false report of a crime, then Josh-Harvey Clemons admitted to UGA police that Josh had been doing drugs in his room and Ty was in the room with Josh – so Ty was kicked-off the team and Josh was given a 1-game suspension for the opening game for this offense that cost Ty his scholarship here and got Ty kicked-off the team. The police report read that the dorm room wreaked of drugs that permeated the hallways. Had this gone in Colorado, Oregon Washington, and Alaska this incident would have been illegal because of their age. You support it and make light of it all you want. We lost 2 Starters as a result and YOU SAID it was ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION. Make up your 2-faced, minds ! It cannot be both, dimwits. The books he said were stolen in a sworn police report, were turned-in by him for cash later. Someone should keep up with an incident sheet on Mark Richt’s recruits on a daily basis for a year, if that were possible the way we cover-up and hide so much of it, and given the way we try to weasel our way out of it in so many other cases. A debate team could spend a lifetime eating-up and spitting-out the bullshit the supposed “fans” of this program attempt to shove down your throats when in actuality they are not fans of this program at all, but Mark Richt Apologists. They act as if 95 % of all of America is not Christian and that because he is, all is well no matter what. Excuse me ? He is a coach of college football program which is Top 10 All-Time in Wins. Ty Flournoy-Smith is Tight End Alabama 2014 playing in the play-offs and # 1 in the nation.
(18) Dream Team Isaiah Crowell kicked off team, Alabama State
(19) Dream Team Sanford Seay kicked off team – Wide Receiver – Louisiana Tech 2014
(20) Zach Mettenberger kicked off team – Quarterback – LSU.
(21) Hunter Atkinson – Tight End – just up and quit June 18, 2014
(22) Rico Johnson – medical disqualification
(23) Dream Team Christian LeMay – Quarterback – 4th String QB transferred-out, like his brother, neither accomplishing anything but bad news for us. This recruit I said repeatedly – having studied why he was not allowed to play his senior high school year, kicked-off and found guilty upon appeal by his preacher dad (who said kids make mistakes) – should have had his scholarship rescinded. Mark Richt never wanted this guy. Never in a million years. Mark Richt only wanted to be able to say, see ? See how I maintain offers after injury and after being kicked-off your high school team ? See ? I am a great guy. Come here play for me. I do it the right way, despite all the bad press and despite all the losses. Transferred-out to Jacksonville State January 2014.
(24) Alexander Ogletree – suspended multiple times for violation of team rules, including the 4-game suspension for REPEATED FAILED DRUG TEST mandatory by my alma mater school policy.
(25) Shaquille Fluker – Safety – Transferred-out also to Jacksonville State for 2014 season after recruited here JUCO from East Mississippi Community College but never got a single snap here at UGA.
(26) Paris Bostick – Safety/Linebacker – Mutually Transferred-out 2014 to Iowa Western Community College
(27) Brent Benedict – Offensive Tackle 2014 at Virginia Tech
(28) Washaun Ealey – arrested leaving scene of accident, failed to show-up for disciplinary running, suspended multiple times by Mark Richt for violation of team rules, asked to transfer by Mark Richt by mutual agreement, transferred to Jacksonville State, arrested there on drug possession charges
(29) Montez Robinson – arrested battery/family violence, multiple incidents, in fact Mark Richt went to jail and talked with him after he had not only picked-up his girlfriend allegedly and thrown her repeatedly to the floor, but also had a previous violent incident with her also arrested for and a 3rd time with her where he beat-up allegedly not her this time, but her car, kicked-off finally after ALL this.
(30) Caleb King – arrested multiple times including DUI here at UGA, flunked-out after all that lax program we run here where anything goes, kicked-off, went to NFL Vikings where he also was arrested and kicked-off
(31) Ken Malcome – Tailback 2014 Southern Illinois
(32) DeAndre Moose Johnson – Defensive Tackle from Newnan Northgate High, medical disqualification
(33) Derek Owens, Cornerback, Alabama State
(34) Darnell Salomon – arrested felony burglary on recruiting invite here July 23, 2014
(37) Dream Team Quintavious Harrow – Safety – Garden City Community College, flunked-out
(38) Gilbert Johnson – Wide Receiver Signed 2014, failed to Qualify
(39) Brendan Langley – Started at Free Safety against Missouri in 34-0 rout, played in 5 other games 2014, transferred-out, did not get a snap against Georgie tek, but did the game before, already not listed on roster
(40) J. J. Green – played in only 8 games this 2014 season, including one Start against the vols at cornerback, transfer – although he is still listed on the roster – obviously all this is hard for The University of Georgia to keep-up with as well.
Mark Richt is 63-29 after 2007 through today, the 2nd half of the Mark Richt era, when all these incidents covered us under with bad press, continue to to the day, and have been a serious on-going issue for Mark Richt’s signed scholarship recruits, for which he is given such high praise for bringing-in here.
# 9 average Scout.com recruiting ranking 2001-2015 and 81 NFL Draft Picks 2001-2014 both TOPS in SEC.
But, 63-29 on the field, with more off-the-field issues than a fan can keep up with. It’s overwhelming.
63-29 after 2007 puts Mark Richt # 20 in won/lost win percentage prior to today’s Championship Games, which he has not won in 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006. After 2007, Mark Richt is only 5-16 vs teams making the final Top 25 polls for these most recent seasons on the road as visitor or neutral fields. This while all this continues to happen off the field, as well.
EGG-LAYING HEAD-SCRATCHING LOSSES :
In addition, after 2007, 8 games have been lost to teams who even with their win, were far less talented than us and not ranked. He is only 4-20 against teams ranked higher than him in the final polls these latest current 7 years.
This is way too many losses at 10-23 vs final Top 25 teams after 2007. 10 of 33 games won against teams ranked in either the AP Poll or the Coaches’ Poll for the seasons 2008-2014 inclusive.
But, we really have to add-in the losses to not Top 25 teams he has already lost to in the 2nd Half of his Mark Richt era here, after 2007. You have to add-in these 8 losses because he is 10 wins of 33 games against Top 25 teams for the seasons 2008-2014, and losses to teams not in the Top 25 these seasons, too, is relevant to what his actual record is against Top 25 teams. The NCAA states that if you play a 1-AA FCS team, that that does not count – unless you lose to them. The same is true here, then – applying the same logic :
2nd half of the Mark Richt era after 2007 through the present in the order in which they occurred starting with the most recent :
8 Inexplicable losses 2nd half of Mark Richt era after 2007 :
LOST unranked both polls Florida
LOST unranked both polls South Carolina
LOST Central Florida unranked AP Poll time of game
LOST unranked both polls Florida
LOST unranked both polls Colorado
LOST unranked both polls Kentucky
LOST unranked both polls vols
LOST unranked AP Poll for the season Okie State
in the order in which they occurred starting with most recent.
As a matter of fact, Mark Richt has had egg-laying head-scratching losses every single year.
We probably should address here the only 2 BCS Bowl Wins Mark Richt has. The 1st was after beating 5-Loss unranked Arkansas in The SEC Championship Game and then beating 5-Loss # 23 Ranked FSU in the BCS Bowl Sugar Bowl after 2002 season. You recall, of course, that he went 0-13 on 3rd Down Conversions against Florida 2002, when Florida was not even ranked in the Final AP Poll Top 25 even, even with Ron Zook’s win over Mark Richt 2002. 2002 season The SEC only had 1 other team, other than us even ranked in The Coaches’ Poll for 2002 season a 4-Loss Auburn team, other than Florida at # 24 another 4-Loss but should have been 5-Loss Florida 2002. The SEC was down the 2002 season, wasn’t it ? This is his wondrous SEC Championship. His only other SEC Championship was 2005, which was 10 years’ ago when he won that game. He lost to a hapless Florida team that season too, bragging to us all how great Joe Tereshinski III would be, when in fact he was the only QB who possibly could’ve lost to Florida 2005. LSU was # 5 for 2005, Alabama was # 8 for 2005 and Mark Richt was # 10. These, then, his only 2 “SEC Championships.”
You recall 2001 when Verron Haynes caught the wide-open TD pass in the cut-down vols checkerboard end zone that Mark Richt has bragged since that he “knocked the lid off The Bulldogs’ Football Program” but 2001 although beating # 4 vols, lost four (4) games for this Proud Top 10 All-Time Football Program in Wins. Mark Richt this same 2001 season, Mark Richt knocked the lid-off of our Top 10 All-Time Program in Wins, lost to Boston College who was unranked at game time and lost to Auburn who even with their win over Mark Richt 2001, still did not make either the AP Poll or the Coaches’ Poll for the 2001 season. But, Mark Richt bragged he knocked the lid-off our program. You do not knock the lid-off Top 10 All-Time Football Program UGA losing 4 damn games including to 2 unranked teams.
This is what we suffer, have suffered, continue to suffer, and will suffer. And, make no mistake about it, Mark Richt told all the players complaining that we were not ready for Florida this season either, and told all his players he recruited here who said we took Florida lightly for this season’s game in Jacksonville, after the game, to shut-up saying we took them lightly. He attempts to control what we think. He told us he was way wrong to squib kick to 43-yard line up by 3 against a team who considers us their # 1 Rival at our house, where their coach now does not even have a losing record. He told us he was way wrong to not run Todd Gurley II against South Carolina 1st and goal handed to deer-in-the-headlights Hutson Mason.
He told us Joe Cox was better than NFL QB Zack Mettenberger, even with Joe Cox’s chronic shoulder making him miss every 4th practice all season, but also hiring a private charter to fly Joe Cox to Stillwater with the flu – a game Joe Cox obviously was not able to do well against and a team who even with their win over Mark Richt, did not make the AP Poll Top 25 for the 2009 season.
He told us Joe Tereshinski III was a better QB than NFL Quarterback Matthew Stafford 2006.
2014, he told us Hutson Mason whose last pass was intercepted in overtime against Georgie tek, losing the game for us, that Hutson Mason is a better QB than Jacob Park and Brice Ramsey. In fact, like Joe Cox and like Joe Tereshinski III, Hutson Mason is not better than either, and also not as good as Faton Bauta.
Mark Richt is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Mark Richt told the fan in Macon he “knows what the Hell I’m doing,” then why does he after every loss, tell us he made yet again, another glaring stupid decision ?
Which is it ?
He knows what he’s doing, or he is just simply wrong ?
He has gone out of his way to lie to us, and to control what we think.
The only other BCS Bowl Win for Mark Richt was 2007 against # 19 Hawai’i. Both 2007 and 2002 are in 1st half Mark Richt era. 2007, you no doubt recall, Mark Richt lost to a 6-6 South Carolina team that did not even play in a bowl game. And, in 2007, he was blown-out by a poor vols’ team by 3 touchdowns ! This is what he does. 14-35 vs. the vols 2007. DISNEYdawgs.com complained that we deserved to be in the then 2-team play-offs 2007, just as they whined this season, too, after losing to unranked 6-win South Carolina and losing to unranked 6-win Florida. No, we did not.
When he has a great season, or a poor season, he always has inexplicable losses to less-talented unranked teams. Teams he should never lose to.
This is not inconsistent or schizophrenic, but consistent through-out the entire Mark Richt era here, barring no season. This is the 1 constant – Mark Richt will ALWAYS lose to teams who he should NEVER LOSE to : teams without anywhere near the talent we have, and teams who are simply not ranked in the Top 25, even with their wins over Mark Richt. Several times Mark Richt has lost to teams who right afterwards, anyway, they fire their coach. Colorado did that. Florida did that. Those are 2 of just 10 now such losses to unranked in either the AP or Coaches’ Polls for the seasons that Mark Richt has lost to here. Teams like Florida 2002 are not included in that list of 10 because Florida made the Coaches’ Poll 2002 at # 24 – but, only because Ron Zook beat Mark Richt in Jacksonville. Florida is our # 1 Rival. Mark Richt is 5-9 against Florida in Jacksonville, and has complained for 14 years that he’s at a disadvantage in Jacksonville.
I hold Mark Richt accountable for this.
I hold the fans who band together to try to censor discussions of the topic, doubly responsible.
This, all, needs to be out in the open and addressed by The University of Georgia’s Jere Morehead and Greg McGarity.
We await the naming of the 3rd Tier Bowl we go to today.
This is the GOOD NEWS for The Georgia Bulldogs’ Football Team that our off-season begins a few days after those allowed to play Georgie tek with the # 52 recruits, lost with our # 9 recruits ? This on top of losing to two 6-win teams in South Carolina and Florida who fired their coach the week after beating us. This is the good press ?
Fine manner to start-off our off-season, isn’t it ? And, this is supposed to be the good news, after this entire year of BAD PRESS for Mark Richt’s signed scholarship recruits, 73 of whom remain of the 119 he signed to play this season with a redshirt season. And, not one went early in the 2014 NFL Draft.
I am fed-up with it all.
Mark Richt was given great accolades for signing these 119 scholarship recruits, who with redshirt, would have played against Georgie tek. Instead, he has only 73 remaining for the bowl game by stark contrast, if Zach DeBell is allowed to play.
These incidents and resulting won/lost record are not an excuse for each other, but a double-whammy upon my alma mater.
“You know it’s a distraction. There’s probably more people here today because of that. I don’t know,” Richt said. “I don’t know. Maybe ya’ll all wanted to hear about football. But that’s about all I’m going to say about that. But if we want to talk about football some more, I’ll keep talking.”
This is not addition by subtraction. This is BAD PRESS, and that is all it is. ALL of these incidents are bad press. It is not bad press that I report it : It’s bad press that this has happened to us, causing us to lose to less-talented teams EVERY YEAR of the Mark Richt era, none more so than after 2007. It would, however, be bad press were we to bury our heads in the sand, and try to censor this discussion. You get that ? I doubt it ! All you want to do is to make excuses for Mark Richt. And, then praise him for the # 8 class he is going to sign in February. I do not like reporting this. I do not like looking it all up. I did not like it when they all happened, individually. And, I especially do not like losing to the likes of Georgie tek, South Carolina and Florida who did NOT recruit the talent we did. Did they ? We get LESS with MORE. It’s ALL we ever get, every season nowadays. Mark Richt was a fine coach when he 1st got here. You’ve made his job a cushy damn job : It’s your fault, and not mine.
And, continues to be. And, this is all tied-together that we only have only 73 signed scholarship recruits remaining of the 119 signed with redshirt who could’ve played Georgie tek last Saturday at our house where their coach does not have a losing record. I am witness. The NCAA allows us 85 signed scholarship recruits to compete with.
Today, Florida has paid Jim McElwain $ 3.5 million annually to be their head coach. He has never been head coach, although he’s 52, before 2012 at Colorado State. His 22-16 record there is piss poor. It was against Mountain West opponents, which he is 14-10 against.
He tried to be a position coach in the NFL, but also was a utter failure.
He played quarterback at Eastern Washington, whatever that is.
He hasn’t ever accomplished anything.
Jeremy Foley, looking like a country musician, has made a ton of very poor hires, but this one takes the cake.
This is exactly what we do not want at UGA to replace embattled Mark Richt.
Florida, as we, should only hire a proven real head coach – not someone who only coached since 2012 and there only 22-16. There being Mountain West, and there being a program who isn’t and hasn’t been any good, ever.
It’s a sad day for Florida.
It’s not much better here.
Florida’s Jeremey Foley has made a ton of questionable moves as A.D.
None more so than this.
Yes, they had questions about recruiting and production on offense from a defensive minded Will Muschamp; but, this guy is not the answer to that, either; and certainly leaves questions about the defense and special teams.
Questions, we are not without questions about ourselves.
I felt the Ron Zook hire was a poor hire, and it was.
I felt the Will Muschamp hire was a poor hire, and it was.
I am likewise certain the Jim McElwain hire is yet another poor hire by A.D. Jeremy Foley.
There are successful head coaches out there, and Florida has certainly plenty of money to pay real money to a real, proven, head coach.
We are not getting better. We are not improving. We’re consistently doing poorly, not being schizophrenic. We are NOT trending upwards. A recruit is not what he needs. Another coordinator is not what he needs.
He just needs to go.
It’s already been a very disappointing season, to say the least. Already having LOST to two 6-win teams, both in our division, and while both LOST to Missouri – this is in addition to us losing to a team in our last game who averages the # 52 recruiting rankings in Scout.com every year to our # 9 recruiting ranking.
Now, 2 days’ time from now, Missouri plays # 1 Alabama in The SEC Championship Game we’ve now not won 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, and 2006. 9 straight SEC Championship Games, we have not now won. Sad really sad. And, when you look at the teams who are in The SEC, you find that in fact, we recruit not only from a better talent base here in this great state, but in fact recruit better than they do. We have a higher average recruiting ranking of # 9 according Scout.com 2001-2014, and this is verified by us having the most NFL Draft Picks in the Mark Richt Era 2001-2014 with 81 NFL Draft Picks. Both are TOPS in The SEC.
More with less.
We had some good wins this season. We beat # 16 Missouri, # 18 Clemson, and # 19 Auburn. Missouri is 10-2 at # 16 nationally. Clemson has lost 3 games, like we have and Auburn has lost 4 games.
This is a 3-Loss season already, but it would have been a 4-loss season already Saturday had we played # 1 Alabama. After 2007, which was now 8 long years’ ago, we’re only 4-20 against teams ranked better than us in the final AP and Coaches’ Polls at years’ end.
We do not do well.
We have ten inexplicable losses to teams who did not make either the AP or Coaches’ Polls for the seasons we lost to them in. This, even with their win over us.
That’s way too many bad losses.
This is way too many losses at 10-23 vs final Top 25 teams after 2007. 10 of 33 games won.
This is way too many losses, period at 29 losses for the current 7-year period, averaging MORE than 4 Losses per season.
It’s been a tale of 2 halves of the Mark Richt era : what he had done when he 1st got here 14 seasons’ ago now which lasted the 1st half of the Mark Richt era through 7 seasons ending with the 2007 season, and what he IS DOING now by stark contrast the latest current 7-year period beginning after 2007.
It’s been bad.
It’s been really, really bad compared to the talent here.
The coaching staff has been put-together with an eye on recruiting. Finishing the coaching staff out instead with coaches who can coach special teams, offensive positions and defensive positions, obviously just is not there. Coaching the recruits up, to be better than they could be collectively has been way lacking. Hasn’t it ?
It’s not been schizophrenic; it’s been consistently poor coaching of the talent here for the entire 2nd half of the Mark Richt era with an average of more than 4 Losses a season. We have not done well at all.
There is nothing about ADDING-IN what Mark Richt did 8 to 14 seasons’ ago, that is relevant today to what he’s doing now these current latest 7 seasons.
Egg-laying has been consistent now for 7 long hard to endure seasons. The decisions, both off and on the field, have been scrutinized by all of us. We all feel that the decisions are highly questionable. Even Mark Richt admits he was way wrong to squib kick with 13 seconds remaining up by 3 against a far less talented roster we invited to our house Saturday to see their coach leave with now not even a losing record against us here at home for us. Even Mark Richt admits with Todd Gurley II on 1st and goal from the 4, he should’ve pounded it in the South Carolina goal line fiasco of Biblical Proportions that led to both Hutson Mason appearing a deer in the headlights and that led to Mark Richt’s decision-making being so scrutinized now in his failed 14th season at our helm. It also was just the 1st of 3 head-scratching losses this season alone.
How does a program averaging # 9 recruiting, end up # 22 in won/loss record the entire 2nd half of the Mark Richt era ? How in the Hell, is that possible ?
A third of the people who are described as Mark Richt Apologists, wanting to belittle everyone else as not as good a fan as they, think new blood is now necessary at UGA.
A more honest poll with EVERYONE allowed to be on the blog, despite their DISSATISFACTION with our program nowadays, would show a FAR HIGHER PERCENTAGE.
# 22 Won/Lost RECORD after 2007 with the # 9 average recruit rank
It’s been impossible for even they to explain away. In years prior to this season, they spent their every energy trying to make EXCUSES for what has been happening after 2007.
Now, this season, even they are quite clearly visibly demonstrably unhappy with the decisions and the results on and off the field.
It’s caught up with Mark Richt, this egg-laying on-going nowadays.
It’s been tough to watch. Getting in our Camry and going to the games only to see the more talented team lose to the less talented team, like Saturday, just compounds our problems away from Sanford Stadium. Many of us have felt that we have as our right, to speak-up and try to explain this as a fact-based discussion. We have for years been met with rose-colored glasses’ fans who said nothing about the research of where we are and how it just doesn’t add-up that this is where we’d be.
We had fans pre-season this season saying 15-0. No. That is not what happened, and it NEVER WAS ON THE TABLE.
You could not get it through to them. Indeed, every off-season is MORE of the same. Arguably, we are in the off-season now already 2 days’ prior to a game we’ve not won since 10 years’ ago now Saturday.
Perhaps you do not recall that season, since your memory fails you ?
2005, we ended-up the # 3 team in The SEC in every single solitary poll. Alabama and LSU ahead of us, and then Georgia. Every single solitary poll. Mark Richt had told us Joe Tereshinski III would be great against Florida that season. No. He was in fact the only quarterback we could’ve started against Florida who possibly could’ve lost to that horrible Florida that year as well. That’s the reality, when not using those damnable rose-colored glasses. 5-9 against OUR # 1 Rival, Florida, is his record including many losses to worse Florida teams, like this season.
That Mark Richt Apologists, DISNEYdawgs.com, would even contemplate discussion of just maybe Mark Richt is not getting the job done, seems on the surface to contradict their policies that NO ONE ELSE CAN SUGGEST such a discussion.
That’s because it does contradict their policies. They say they want to BAN and CENSOR anyone who discusses that Mark Richt just is NOT getting the job done nowadays after 2007.
Yet, that what is being discussed on their Mark Richt Apologists’ blogs. Today, they are discussing – The Mark Richt Apologists, among themselves alone, that one-third of THEM think that new blood is necessary here in our program.
When you have an OPEN BLOG, and openly ask ALL – not just hand-chosen Mark Richt Apologists whom they allow to post on their precious freaking bullshit blog of bullshittedness, how is Mark Richt doing, the facts are 9 of 10 of us really think Mark Richt is falling short.
That is the fact.
Design your bullshit poll however you want. Include all categories in 1 stupidly designed poll then, and exclude those with whom you disagree all you want.
It matters not.
You slap the backs of each other, while you know, we have not been doing well.
You have to address the issues away against teams ranked these current 7 seasons which make up the 2nd Half of the Mark Richt era, in this tale of 2 halves for him.
You have to address the actual won/lost record these current 7 seasons and no longer can consider that it is only a small subset of what was when he got here, a lot better results he was way back then, putting-up here.
Missouri and Clemson, for example, both were worse won/loss records than us after 2007, but both have moved-up because well they do not lose to so many teams every year which they should beat. We have better wins including over both of those, but they did not lose to the likes as we in losing to two 6-win teams this failed 2014 season.
How we lose to less-talented teams so often has become THE discussion.
He pulled a Mark Richt and lost inexplicably.
We’ve effected this change in their thinking because we’ve MADE OUR POINT about the coaching around here making just plain stupid mistakes. Mistakes even our own head coach readily admits are have been and continue to be just plain wrong-headed.
How did Hutson Mason look in overtime against the far less talented Georgie tek squad ?
How have special teams fared 2014 without a special teams’ coach, again ?
How have Mark Richt’s recruits which he was given such high praise for signing here, done off the field all 2014, yet again ?
What lesser talented teams has Mark Richt lost to this 2014 season again ?
Is there dissention among the ranks of the Mark Richt Apologists ?
Are 29 losses in just these 7 seasons, too many ?
Are we in a talent drop-off, or is the recruiting consistently among the best nationally ?
Is there any excuse for all this bullshit on and off the field in our program ?
Maryland, who lost their last game against a 5-loss team, is our bowl opponent in an 11 am bowl game, a 5-loss team themselves ? Someone like this is our opponent in some bowl game like the Belk Bowl ?
This is that to which we aspire ?
Mark Richt has NEVER played in a big bowl game for us. NEVER.
These are the questions.
Not whether only Mark Richt Apologists who do not want to hear the opposing viewpoint with no excuse available from your lips any longer, you in here reading what you said you did not want to read, think we need new blood.
That you would even contemplate such a question among yourselves, speaks volumes.
Dawgs.com Forum has a new thread up today about the state of The Georgia Bulldogs’ Football Program, a Top 10 All-Time College Football Program in Wins, who has 29 losses the most recent now 7 seasons – MORE than 4 Losses per season for 7 years and counting.
” If uga decides to fire the coach he will not have a problem finding another job. Go 6-6 a few years and 9-3 wont seem so bad. ”
Friqin’ little shit, WE were 6-7 in 2010 asshole. What the freaking hell are you talking about go 6-6 scooby ?
Not seem so bad at 9-3.
Mark Richt AVERAGES MORE than 4 losses a season after 2007.
(1) Mark Richt said after the South Carolina LOSS, he made a mistake and if he had it to do it again, he’d run Todd Gurley II four times from the 4-yard line 1st and goal, us losing with 5 minutes remaining. He had Hutson Mason in a play/action fake, which Hutson Mason did not check-out of; but knows the offense and that he himself, Hutson Mason, is very slow with 40 rushes for 14 total yards on all 40 carries. He is a deer in the headlights. And, just when all the South Carolina fans in that end zone covered the field with debris – knowing they’d lost the game.
(2) Mark Richt said after the Florida LOSS, that the players should all SHUT UP about ALL OF THEM SAYING we took Florida LIGHTLY and were not prepared.
(3) Mark Richt said after the Georgie tek LOSS, that he made a mistake and if he had it to do over again, scoring the dramatic come-from-behind should’ve been winning TD with a few ticks all left on the clock, 13 seconds all that remains in the game is 13 ticks of the clock, that he would have kicked-off deep. Hell, you learn coaching Pop Warner Football, that you kick-off freaking deep and make them go the farthest when you are only up by 3. You want to keep them OUT OF FIELD GOAL RANGE. Dumbshit Mark Richt told Marshall Morgan to kick-off short – to Georgie tek’s 43-yard line. 1 scramble was all it took from there to get into field goal range. Dumbshit coach. He’s stupid. Our dumbass coach squib kicks so 13 ticks start at the 43-yard line. Then, afterwards, like he ALWAYS DOES, he says oh excuse me I was a dumbass. I did it incorrectly, AGAIN. He knows NOTHING about clock management and less about teaching the kids to obey the rules. Punishing them later is turning his back on them, they ALL SAY TO HIM afterwards, not that you read those interviews. I certainly do. Punishment is NOT discipline because Discipline is teaching them to obey the rules; and, punishment is the end-result of NOT teaching them to obey the rules. Discipline is defined as “teaching to obey the rules.” Punishment is defined as punitive measures and is not confused with Discipline except by the uneducated.
(4) Hutson Mason has been taken advantage of EVERY WEEK AFTER EVERY GAME by Mark Richt and by Mike Bobo – who run to the press after every game and say Hutson Mason SUCKS. That he has to throw the ball downfield and how disappointed they BOTH are that he refuses categorically to do so.
Mark Richt is a dumbass.
He has ALWAYS been a dumbass.
He isn’t very smart.
Yes, he will get hired quickly by another program. Someone like North Carolina, who’d love to be a 5-loss or 4-loss average for the most recent 7 year period of MORE than 4 losses a season average.
North Carolina is NOT a Top 10 All-Time Football Program in Wins.
We ARE !
This is unacceptable butthole that you would weasel-word your bullshit on Dawgs.com on their Forum there, saying this total unadulterated utter bullshit.
Kiss my ass, scooby.
What kind a freaking handle is scooby anyway ?
And, what is this shit that you don’t really care about our football program or going to the games with all the rest of us who do ?
Or, that Mark Richt himself thinks he is smart ?
(1) Joe Cox is better QB than NFL QB Zach Mettenberger ?
(2) Joe Tereshinski III is a better QB than NFL QB Matthew Stafford ?
(3) Hutson freaking Mason is a better QB than future NFL Jacob Park and Brice Ramsey ?
MARK RICHT TOLD US JOE COX BETTER THAN ZACH METTENBERGER, JOE TERESHINSKI III BETTER THAN MATTHEW STAFFORD AND HUTSON FREAKING MASON BETTER THAN BOTH JACOB PARK AND BRICE RAMSEY.
HOW SMART IS THAT ?
How right is that, scooby-doo you little shit ?
Bullshit scooby-doo, you little piece of shit.
Mark Richt does not know who the best quarterback is on the roster, and NEVER HAS – the dumbass – you piece of crap, scooby-doo.
I cannot even bring myself to read the other 500 responses, all of them saying everything to the contrary to your 1 lone post scooby-doo, but I read them all up to yours shithead.
Thanks a lot for ruining a perfectly good blog I was enjoying reading until I got your bullshit, scooby-doo.
Everyone but 1 thinks we suck right now and have sucked for the latest 7-year period
63-29 current 7-year period, more than 4 losses a season average
4-20 vs teams ranked ahead of us in Final AP Poll after 2007
10-23 vs just Top 25 teams Final AP Poll after 2007
NOT RANKED 2009, 2010, and 2013
You think this is GREAT, and do not care about Georgia Bulldogs’ football. That’s what you said scooby-doo shithead laughing-stock clown.
