They call it he pulled another “Richt” that the team got “Georgia’d again.” We have read all the national press that Mark Richt is the nation’s most notorious underachiever with all this talent.

Is this acceptable or unacceptable that a coach was so great 2001-2007 and this bad after – the most recent 8 years now ?
You have to be able to answer that question, acceptable or unacceptable ?
It does no good for you, for you to include what he did in ancient history 2001-2007, to say how good a coach he IS. There is no need for you to add that in. Compare what he IS doing after 2007, and you will see, he is underachieving with the # 8 talent for # 11 All-Time UGA in Wins with 6 NC.
So, who do you replace him with ?
How about some of these ?
Urban Meyer is # 1
Nick Saban is # 2
Mark Richt is NOT even in the Top 25
James Franklin is ahead of him, for example.
Jimbo Fisher is ahead of Mark Richt, too.
Les Miles is ahead of Mark Richt.
Bob Stoops is ahead of Mark Richt.
Jim Harbaugh at Michigan, another ranked ahead of Mark Richt as college football coach.
Art Bryles at Baylor is a better coach than Mark Richt.
Gary Patterson at TCU who I wanted instead of Mark Richt, is always considered better than Mark Richt.
Mark Dantonio at Michigan State is always considered a better coach than Mark Richt as well.
David Shaw Stanford always, as well, is considered a better coach than Mark Richt
I agree with them that Mark Richt is NOT one of the Top 25 college coaches 2015.
How about an NFL coach ?
Honestly, whoever comes after Mark Richt is going to be very successful.
Is this who you want representing you anymore now ?
He is not the coach he once was from 2001-2007. There is such a significant decline after 2007, eight long excruciating years averaging more than 4 losses a season, that you can not sit idly by and have nothing to say except what a good man he is. He is paid more than $ 4 million dollars a year to win. And, despite his musings to the contrary there is NOT something besides winning that’s important here at Georgia, as he repeatedly tells you as HIS EXCUSE. He is well aware of the huge drop-off after 2007. Look at him staring down at the ground with all our great talent around him watching him looking at him, AGAIN. From 2001-2007, he had no game he lost where he got beat by more than 3 touchdowns, none, but since – now – he has been beat by more than 3 touchdowns 6 times.
I do not believe I have painted a picture here where you can say that he must be given another 3 years, or that Georgia does not deserve better, or that what he once was, he has NOT been after 2007.
All of us can NOT be ALL WRONG that this is unacceptable – can we ?
