Does # 21 North Carolina wish it could be in The SEC East in football anyway when SEC expands to 16 ? Their soft schedule would go away. UNC already loses to FSU and now to Top 10 UGA this season while last year UNC lost to Clemson and to South Carolina who was 3-9 on the season. Doubts creep in to # 21 UNC players looking at # 10 UGA whom UNC has only 6 wins against in 23 games all-time the last win of which was 1963 win over UGA 53 years ago. Well no UNC doesn’t want the LOSSES it would have in The SEC East AND don’t have $ 50 million dollar New ACC Exit Fee of 3 years’ worth of conference distribution per team.

Why would North Carolina want to pay such a hefty ACC Exit Fee only to have to face all the powerhouses in The SEC adding to losses when they would far prefer to remain in the ACC in basketball anyway ?

Uh no.

So whichever team The SEC adds to The SEC East next it will NOT be North Carolina.  Even if The SEC paid the New ACC Exit Fee for North Carolina they would be giving up ACC Basketball and would face many more LOSSES in football.
