Mark Richt never got us a recruiting class like this.  This is a fine recruiting class for Kirby only Ohio State has done better.  That’s right with these wins against Alabama now we have overtaken Alabama in the recruiting rankings with Six (6) Top 100 players nationally according to Scout.com who has Alabama with only 4 Top 100 nationally so far.

Mark Richt was NOT out-recruiting Alabama.  In fact Mark Richt was # 6 in just The SEC in recruiting.  This far exceeds Mark Richt whom Kirby also has out-recruited even though Florida has MORE recruits by a substantial margin than does the state of Georgia.

I tried to tell you this for 8 years.  Some heard me. Many finally agreed with me.  Didn’t you ?

*Andrew Thomas and *Toneil Carter Jr. are BOTH Top 100 overall football players in the nation.

According to Scout.com.

So are *Robert Beal and *D’antne Demery and *Richard LeCounte  and *Jake Fromm Top 100.

Top 150 overall football players in the nation are then these Six (6) Top 100 and three (3) more :

William Poole

Netori Johnson

Trey Blount

150 Top football players in the nation at any position and Kirby has commitments from 9 of them.

9.

10 if you go to # 171 Jaden Hunter.

It is their ranking at their position nationally and their national ranking in the Top Football Players any position that best represents where these commitments are.  So if you are going to discuss recruiting you must discuss this.  The number of stars they get is NOWHERE as meaningful and NEVER has been.

(1) Where does he rank at his position nationally ?

(2) Where does he rank as Top Football Players in the Nation Overall ?

(3) NOT just the number of stars.

These have been proven to be the best 2 indicators.  You are FAR MORE LIKELY if you are than if you are not ranked highly at your position nationally and overall in the nation.

If you don’t discuss their ranking at their position and their overall ranking nationally you may as well NOT even discuss recruiting and your expectations therefrom.

It is a cursory or remedial discussion to discuss ONLY the number of stars assigned to the player.  It is a shortcut to the lazy recruiting discussion of well is he going to be any good or not to discuss ONLY the number of stars he got.

Hasty not thorough not detailed NOT BEST INDICATOR of greatness NUMBER OF STARS.

Does it take longer to lay it out like this ?

Sure it does.

That’s I in a nutshell and always has been.

If you want to be lazy and sound like you don’t know what you are talking about then say Jake Fromm is a 4-Star QB recruit.

Excuse me he is the # 39 Best Football Player in The United States of America and Alabama was certain they had him.

Doesn’t that mean a whole lot more to you than 4-Star ?

Sure it does.

Jake Fromm is the # 5 Best Quarterback in the nation.

These are the guys Mark Richt was NOT getting.  He got some.   We are recruiting a LOT better without him as I told you ALL ALONG for this entire last 8 years.  Only you did not want to hear it.  Hear it now then.  He NEVER got us a class like this.

A casual superficial token analysis of the discussion of recruiting is to say he is a 4-Star QB and frankly it’s not what I EVER talk about.

If you are a 4-Star ranked # 260 at your position and # 594 in the nation overall are you the same probability of greatness as a 4-Star ranked # 5 at your position and # 39 in the nation overall ?  Those who always ONLY discuss the number of stars think YOU THINK it is.  Is one of these 4-Star commitments more likely to be successful than the other 4-Star ?  Sure he is.  So why discuss ALL 4-Stars or ALL 3-Stars for example as if they are ALL THE SAME ?

They’re not.

YOU said just now.

It isn’t and they should not discuss it that way if they knew what they were talking about.

Recruiting is one of my hobbies and always has been.

I love it and Kirby is KILLING IT !

Obliterating ANYTHING Mark Richt ever did.

Way beyond.

You go back and compare any of his classes to this Kirby Class 2017.

Go ahead I dare you.

These guys are BIG.  These guys are FAST.  These guys are tall and long.  These guys are HIGHLY RATED at their position and nationally overall.

This is our finest recruiting class EVER !

You heard THAT here from me FIRST.

Expect some exciting Commitments coming-up after the news of where Kirby is in Recruiting.  At some point the national papers will be lauding what Kirby is doing as miraculous fantastic fabulous and players all over this great nation will stand-up and take notice.

Good recruiting builds good teams.

Great recruiting not only builds great teams BUT OTHER Elite Prospects WANT to JOIN-IN because Elite Prospects EXPECT to win more than no SEC Championship in an entire decade 10 years of NOT winning The SEC Championship which only twice before ever in our history have we EVER done worse.

# 45 nationally over the last 8 years beating Top 15 teams at 18 losses these 24 games.

That is what we have been doing.

Elite Prospects do NOT want to play on such a team.  They do NOT have something MORE IMPORTANT THAN WINNING that they want.

They do NOT either have some other goal other than winning and NEITHER does a great coach.

Jesus Christ.

Mark Richt averaged 4 losses a season his last 8 at 73-32.

A guy named DawgFaithful to this blog made a God Damn FOOL out of himself for years and years and years complaining that I should NOT criticize Mark Richt.  I tried to tell him that his posts would be here for posterity and that he would rue the decision to MAKE EXCUSES for Mark Richt.

That he SUCKED after 2007.

He refused categorically to listen.

Now he is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.

Duh.

As they come back in and try to suggest that Mark Richt is the greatest ever I mark them in categories on the right.

They exist.

Morons the lot of them.

Are they going to lose to 12 unranked AP or Coaches’ Polls time game or for season as Mark Richt did these latest 8 years ?

Well are they ?  According to some today nearly 8 months later now Mark Richt was the best ever.  But he NEVER will and NEVER did convince a recruiting class like this.  They did NOT want to play for him and I did not want him as my coach any longer after loving the guy 2001-2007.  You hold that against me if you want but you were WRONG THEN and wrong now.  I knew what I was talking about when I told you we would recruit BETTER without Mark Richt and I know what I am talking about now.  Don’t I ?   Go ahead you can ADMIT it that you were wrong to say that I did not have the right to criticize Mark Richt for these last 8 years and that I was NOT as good a Bulldogs’ Fan because I did.

I wanted him OUT OF HERE.

I was RIGHT.

Wasn’t I ?

Go ahead.

We ALL know.

You can say it.

Thomas Brown I apologize.  You were RIGHT all along.

Are these guys going to win 54 % of their games against teams that season who play in one of the 41 bowls as Mark Richt did the latest 8 years here # 45 in the nation at that ?

Hell no.

Kirby goes out-of-state again to steal the Commitment over in Texas of 5′ 11″ 190 lbs. Kirby is trying to change the culture that there’s something more important than winning that Mark Richt kept bragging about.  No there is NOT.  Not to THESE GUYS.  Maybe to Mark Richt’s Commitments his Recruits but too many of them got arrested suspended kicked-off and he had to fill his roster out from down to one point of only 67 Scholarship Recruits he signed who were still here for the Charlotte Bowl Game out of 118 he signed who could have been with a redshirt playing in that game and were NOT.  67.

Mark Richt’s Commitments – Mark Richt’s Recruits – to Georgia have been arrested 8 times after Kirby took over now today July 11 2016.  8

Kirby has yet to have one of his Commitments – Kirby’s Recruits – to have been arrested since he took over.

You are witnessing quite a significant change in the CULTURE here at Georgia.
