Olivia Smoliga UGA came in 6th qualifying then 4th in semi-finals in 100 meter women’s backstroke for U.S.

 

Chase Kalisz UGA WON SILVER MEDAL men’s 400 meter individual medley for U.S.

 

Jay Litherland UGA came in 5th in Finals 400 meter men’s individual medley for U.S.

 

Brittany Rogers UGA came in 9th in Vault women’s gymnastics for Canada.

 

Brittany MacLean UGA came in 5th in Finals 400 meter women’s freestyle for Canada.

 

Chantal Van Landeghem UGA WON BRONZE MEDAL in women’s 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay for Canada.

 

Javier Acevedo UGA came in 17th in men’s 100 meter backstroke

 

Matias Koski UGA came in 21st in 200 meter men’s freestyle for Finland.

 

Allison Schmitt UGA WON SILVER MEDAL in women’s 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay for U.S.

 

Amanda Jo Weir Davis UGA WON SILVER MEDAL in women’s 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay for U.S.

 

Yijun J. Feng UGA Ping-Pong men’s Table Tennis ranked # 271 in the world lost in singles and in men’s team plays Fri August 12 at 6:30 p.m. for U.S. vs Sweden

 

Alexandra Oquendo All-SEC and All-America at UGA volleyball lost to U.S. for Puerto Rico 3-0 and competes next today at 4:05 p.m. vs Serbia 8-8-2016.

The U.S. remains the LEADER in the medal count Olympics 2016 Rio.  No country has more Gold.  No country has as many Silver.  No country has more medals than The U.S.  And Georgia Bulldogs former or current student-athletes have 4 medals so far – 3 representing The U.S. and 1 representing Canada – but all 4 representing UGA.
