We have 29 participating athletes 7 coaches 3 of whom are participants themselves and 15 University of Georgia support staff at Rio for the Olympics 2016 for a grand total of 51 at Rio for the Olympics Officially.

 

The 14 SEC Schools at the Rio Olympics 2016 so far have 6 Gold 4 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals for a total of 13 of which UGA has 8 including 3 Gold and 3 Silver and 2 Bronze.  No SEC school has more Gold Medals than we, no SEC school has as many Silver Medals as we and no SEC school has as many Bronze Medals as The University of Georgia so far.

13.Yijun J. Feng UGA Ping-Pong men’s Table Tennis ranked # 271 in the world lost in singles and in men’s team plays Fri August 12 at 6:30 p.m. for U.S. vs Sweden. Competes as Y.J. Feng

 

14.Alexandra Oquendo All-SEC and All-America at UGA volleyball lost to U.S. for Puerto Rico 0-3, lost to Serbia 0-3, lost to China 0-3.  Next plays Fri August 12 at 4:05 p.m. against Netherlands.  Then plays Italy Sunday Aug 14 at 2pm
