1 Medical Redshirt True Freshman 2016 who does NOT count 5 January 2017 :

1 True Freshman who played one play and was DOCUMENTED as injured during that 1 snap and could not return to the field 2016 so this is a prototypical MEDICAL REDSHIRT meaning he gets to play here 6 years like Kolton Houston of the 2010 signing class who completed his eligibility the game after Mark Richt was fired against Penn State.    2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 Six years On-Scholarship.  The NCAA screwed Kolton Houston over an archaic rule not written for his circumstance of PED then relented after the fact.

Solomon Kindley Freshman 56  in this one case this is a documented rubber-stamp MEDICAL REDSHIRT TRUE FRESHMAN 2016 who therefore does NOT count as On-Scholarship on THIS DAY 5 January 2017 meaning Kirby can NOW bring-in ONE MORE Early Enrollee since it is a foregone conclusion that the NCAA owes Kirby one MORE Early Enrollee right now today.  Counts as 1 of the 60 documented as On-Scholarship for 2017 for Kirby no matter what.  56.

If Kirby redshirts Solomon Kindley for 2017 as I expect then that will be his REDSHIRT year.  Neither 2016 nor 2017 then in this scenario I am suggesting here therefore counts toward his 4 years of eligibility.  And therefore 2016 does NOT count as On-Scholarship on THIS DAY either.

It is easy to be precise in this 85 list.  There are RULES.

If you have seen enough of the RULES you know what they are.  I have.  I do.  It’s not confusing.  It is cut-and-dry.  It is detailed.  The NCAA has a whole and completely SEPARATE group for this called COMPLIANCE.  They have a responsibility to do their job.  And they are NOT ALLOWED to drag their feet.  They can apply rules and take them back as in this case not applying but THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE CASES.  Kirby gets another EARLY ENROLLEE SLOT over this.

That will still leave him with 4 years of eligibility the same as Kolton Houston.   If you are redshirted you still get 4 years of eligibility to play.  If you get a medical redshirt that is on top of the 5 if you get a redshirt by the coach.    If you don’t get a redshirt from your coach you would then have 5 years without a redshirt but I see no reason not to redshirt Solomon Kindley 2017.   This means he will still have 2018 as then RF 2019 RSo 2020 RJr and the 2021-2022 season he CAN be On-Scholarship as a Redshirt Senior as you get that year if you are redshirted when the NCAA awards a medical redshirt year.  Since he GOT A SNAP 2016 that would seem a real possibility in Solomon Kindley’s case.  This is the definition of a Medical Redshirt 6th year of eligibility.  Frankly the NCAA owed Kolton Houston a 7th year of eligibility but felt giving him 6 was compensation enough.  The NCAA has awarded 2 Medical Redshirt years before.   Texas Tech center Tony Morales was awarded a seventh year of eligibility by the NCAA in November of 2016 two months ago.  He gets 7 years of On-Scholarship PAYMENTS for FBS football.  The Medical Redshirt year is a year in which the University pays for the student-athlete but is exempted NOT-COUNTED toward the On-Scholarship 85 DURING  THAT ONE YEAR.  He does count for 2017 whether he is redshirted or not but January early enrollee is NOT PART OF THAT.  And that is the purpose of this on-going list on this blog spurring Seth Emerson to write the list as I requested verifying THIS LIST by me by MY RESEARCH to list those On-Scholarship for 2017 now that 2016 is over.

Technically as I lay-out here Solomon Kindley is NOT 5 January 2017 On-Scholarship as he is MEDICAL REDSHIRT 2016 season which INCLUDES TODAY for early enrollee status.

A lot of words but this is most important that Kirby has ANOTHER EARLY ENROLLEE 5 January 2017 SLOT.

Technically as I lay it out here :

  2. 2017 REDSHIRT year not counting as 1 of the 4 years eligibility either
  3. 2018 RF year
  4. 2019 RSo year
  5. 2020 RJr year
  6. 2021 RSr year

Got it ?

He can become a Dr. on the dole.  All 6 years for Kolton Houston he was On-Scholarship receiving payments in-compliance with NCAA Compliance and all 7 years for Texas Tech center Tony Morales the same is true.  There is nothing confusing or in-question about Solomon Kindley.  UGA does have to document this to the NCAA and get APPROVAL before it is a slot.  With the staff we have this should be APPROVED BY NOW but is NOT as of 5 January 2017 and that is the FAULT of Kirby’s staff and A.D. Greg McGarity.  This is their job.

We knew all this 17 September 2016 so we have known this for 3 months and 3 weeks.  Had the NCAA been sent their obligatory REQUEST for MEDICAL REDSHIRT September 17 we would have this open slot now.  The NCAA IS ALLOWED to drag its feet when being in a hurry is OUR FAULT.  An ERROR as big as this one costing Kirby getting a GREAT RB who just kicked-ass in the all-star game against all our recruits holding hands to stop him not turning in the REQUIRED REQUEST to the NCAA for Medical Redshirt status on September 17 of 2016 does NOT constitute a HURRY-UP for the NCAA.  It’s our fault.  It’s Greg McGarity’s responsibility TOTALLY.  Greg McGarity should have recognized this on 17 September 2016.

There is that just one number : 85.

There is NO OTHER NUMBER.  You are or aren’t.  Solomon Kindley was NOT On-Scholarship 2016 season and therefore IS NOT TODAY.  The University paid for Solomon 2016 but is EXEMPTED from counting him in the 85 On-Scholarship number.  Got it ?

We just got ANOTHER Early Enrollee slot because Solomon Kindley is NOT today 5 January 2017 counted as one of the 85 On-Scholarship when determining how many OPEN SLOTS there are for Early Enrollees.  It is NOT another Scholarship because 2017 he WILL COUNT toward the 85.  But today he isn’t.

3 Redshirted 2016 as an in-coming Freshman on Scholarship :

Chris Barnes Redshirted 2016 as Freshman 57

Ben Cleveland Redshirted as a Freshman 58

Chauncey Manac Redshirted 2016 as a Freshman 59

Rico Johnson medical disqualified doesn’t count as scholarship

1 Redshirt Sophomore Transfer 2016 Mark Richt gave scholarship to for 2017 who sat-out 2016 :

I believe I recall Mark Richt provided a scholarship NEXT YEAR 2017 to J.R. Reed who had to sit-out the 2016 year as a Redshirt Sophomore here at UGA since he was in the 2014 recruiting class and did not play with anyone redshirted 2014. Then JR Reed played as a Redshirt Freshman when he signed 2015 with Tulsa. This is a Scholarship committed for 2017 by Mark Richt. Redshirt Sophomore who will have 2 years remaining here. 6′ 195 db played as redshirt freshman at Tulsa in 2015. Dad Jake Reed NFL not J.R. Reed NFL db. This is our top recruit’s cousin DeAngelo Gibbs.   60

60 On-Scholarship today 5 January 2017 for 2017 season I can document and have.

Walk-Ons :

Rodrigo Blankenship RF K still walk-on parents said staying that way for now

Cameron Nizialek Senior Graduate Transfer Walk-On 44.8 yd punt 53.6 yd K-O

Trent Frix Junior was On-Scholarship 2016 by Kirby himself August awarding it to him as a Walk-On at the time.  Trent then played 12 games including bowl 2016 and has 2 Varsity letters UGA and Academic Honor Roll.  This blog here UGA Thomas Brown . reported that Trent Frix WAS given a Scholarship for 2016 by Kirby in August 2016.  Whether he keeps that for 2017 would seem to me to be up to the terms of providing it by Kirby.  Is Trent Frix on Scholarship TODAY ?  Yes.  But Kenneth Towns and Tommy Long were both awarded Scholarships August 2016 by Kirby too and they are on Scholarship today too but as Seniors will NOT BE 2017.  I can not document that Trent Frix is or is not on Scholarship for 2017 but it would seem he like some others here should be.  I have not read Kirby say Trent Frix has a Scholarship for 2017 or that he does not.

Christian Payne Junior is still walk-on

Glenn Welch FB listed as Junior 2016 season however he was redshirted 2014 played in 12 games 2015 and played in all 13 games 2016 season. Either way he has a year left 2017 whether he is in fact a Redshirt Junior 2017 season as I see it or if indeed he is a senior 2017 season as listed at UGA. He has always been a Walk-on like his older brother Parker. Wayne County Jesup GA Highest GPA on the team every year both here and at Wayne County. Recognized as such by league office and by UGA. SEC Academic Honor Roll 2014 and UGA student-athlete Honor Roll 2015.

Prather Hudson Preferred Walk-on Redshirted as Freshman 2016

Tim Hill Senior transfer Walk-on db who played 4 games this season including bowl game after sitting-out last year for Mark Richt here so by my count his eligibility is over with his last game in college TCU which he did play in. Although he has a redshirt year he could take he has none since by transfer rules he had to sit-out last year so he is done by my count.

Billy Seward Redshirt Junior Walk-on redshirted 2013 played 2014 2015 2016 Center 6’ 3” 269 lbs. Oconee

Mitchell Wasson Freshman K still walk-on Redshirted 2016

William Ham Redshirt Sophomore K still walk-on played 5 games 2016 including last 2.  Lost his job as kicker to Rodrigo Blankenship and then after getting PT the last 2 games abdicated his role here and left.  Best of luck to William Ham and thank you.

Nick Moore Sophomore had tackle last year played 4 games 2016 walk-on still.

Steven Van Tiflin redshirt sophomore WR played one game 2016 walk-on.

Thomas Swilley Junior OG played one game 2015 one game 2016 walk-on.

I believe I recall we provided Keyon Brown Redshirt Sophomore 2016 a Scholarship and he has played in one game 2016.  So I did NOT say that Keyon Brown is not on Scholarship but that I said that he WAS provided a Scholarship for 2016 and played in a game 2016 for Kirby.  I have quite a few walk-ons here I document are OWED a Scholarship Keyon Brown is one of these – not one of the 60 I can document ARE On-Scholarship for 2017 such as J.R. Reed who was provided one for 2017 by Mark Richt to put UGA in position to sign his cousin DeAngelo Gibbs.

I believe I recall we provided Mirko Jurkovic Redshirt Freshman 2016 a Scholarship but he has not played in 2016 and would appear to have loads in front of him at TE.

I believe I recall Mark Richt provided a scholarship 2016 to Joseph Ledbetter to get his younger brother to sign with us too but he is no longer playing with us this year so that is over.

Allen Williams Preferred Walk-on Redshirt Freshman 6’7″ 352 lbs.

Jordon McKinney Preferred Walk-on Redshirt Freshman

Joshua Moran 6′ 2″ 193 lbs. 3-star Preferred Walk-on

Daniel Gothard Freshman on roster preferred walk-on still – has not played 2016.

Frank Sinkwich IV Preferred Walk-On 2017 OG FB Scout team until Junior year high school great grandson Athens Academy 5′ 11″ 235 lbs. 305 bench 500 squat 24.5″ vertical leap 5.23 Nike 40-yard dash added 40 lbs. to get to 235. Not considered one of the 3300 FBS Division 1-A recruits by any service.  This is the first 2017 Preferred Walk-On made public.  None of the Preferred Walk-Ons for 2016 to Kirby have been awarded a Scholarship which is Frank’s fate as well unless he can make it as FB or long-snapper.  He did play some Center Senior year.  None of the men Kirby had join him in 2016 as a Walk-On were awarded a Scholarship either yet.  Kirby did give 3 Mark Richt Walk-Ons Scholarships August of 2016 Kenneth Towns who personally won 2 games for Mark Richt Tommy Long and Trent Frix for Special Teams.  It is unknown if Trent Frix Scholarship was just for 2016 or extends into 2017 unabated but his family does not really need it. Neither did mine.  Tommy Long and Kenneth Towns used up their eligibility against TCU.  Best of luck to you Frank.   And thanks for coming to UGA.

Do you get the feeling since you have not even seen the Preferred Walk-ons or Walk-Ons for 2017 except for this one that this is not the same roster The Georgia Bulldogs have EVER had ?

This is not what we are used to and thus so much research by me to get it right.  If I were a writer I would specifically ask certain players their status.  I used to go into the locker room.

It is a lot easier to keep up with this than it is to create it.

So 60 documented On-Scholarship for 2017 who have not said they are leaving or had it said for them plus 23 Commits are 83 meaning Kirby has Two (2) Scholarships available today 5 January 2017 both of which are long-since committed several times over.  But there will be more attrition.

Seth Emerson’s list 2 January 2017 also agrees with this list.

That blog by Seth Emerson he wrote the day after mine on 1-1-2017.  I did URL Link my post 1-1-2017 to him specifically.  He also suggests there will be more attrition too.  And thanks to our readers here on this blog tludlam

Thank you Mike BIG DAWG Woods.  It won’t be the same anymore.  This is a great loss.  Mike had heart complications.

Thank you Mike BIG DAWG Woods.

For ten (10) years in a row The Mighty SEC which is the most valuable conference and the most accomplished conference and therefore the most influential conference had won the most bowl games each of the previous ten (ten) seasons in a row but The SEC has relinquished the most bowl wins 2016-2017 season for the first time after ten (10) seasons in a row to the ACC. The Mighty SEC has ALSO won the National Championship in College Football FBS Division 1-A ten (10) of the previous thirteen (13) seasons and it all boils down on that one to The NC Game Monday Night where the ACC is trying to win its 2nd national championship in football of the last 14 seasons. This would be a big boost to the ACC but it is of no consolation to the lowly Big Ten BIG who frankly was embarrassed on national TV after bragging all year long how great they are this season at just 3-7 in their bowl games AGAIN as the Big Ten B1G all-time ALWAYS has a LOSING BOWL RECORD. The Pac-12 which has NOT won the national championship in college football after 1972 John McKay Southern California also won only 3 bowl games this season as they continue to prove in the Pac-12 that they only can beat the lowly Big Ten B1G. The Big 12 Big XII won only 4 bowl games this season. So for the quest for the Most Bowl Wins this 2016-2017 season ACC has 8 wins SEC can only get to 7 wins Big XII had only 4 wins Pac-12 only 3 bowl wins and the lowly Big Ten B1G only 3 bowl wins after running their damn mouths ALL SEASON LONG.

Half the B1G Big Ten conference can not even play the game of football while The SEC this latest season has the Most Bowl Games by any conference with 13. Thirteen SEC Bowl Games this down year for The SEC is still 30% better than B1G who is The Mighty SEC’s bitch.

Last season 2015 the B1G did not even have a winning Bowl Record while The SEC went 9-2.

The year before last 2014 the B1G again was not better than The SEC in bowl games either.

The year before that 2013 The SEC went 7-3 and the Big 10 B1G went 2-5 in bowl games.

The year before that 2012 The SEC went 6-3 and the Big 10 B1G went 2-5 in bowl games again.

The year before that 2011 The SEC went 6-3 and the Big 10 B1G went 4-6 in bowl games.

The year before that 2010 and and the year before that year too 2009 The SEC better in bowl games than B1G.

The year before that 2008 the B1G Big 10 went 1-5 in bowl games while The SEC went 6-2.

We’re back to 2007 now B1G Big 10 went 3-5 in bowl games and The SEC 7-2.

2006-2007 Bowl Games shows The Mighty SEC is 6-3 and B1G Big Ten 2-5.

None of these then latest ten (10) years of college football has ANY conference Won More Bowl Games than The Mighty SEC.

6-3 SEC 2006 Bowl Games

7-2 SEC 2007 Bowl Games

6-2 SEC 2008 Bowl Games

6-4 SEC 2009 Bowl Games

5-5 SEC 2010 Bowl Games

6-3 SEC 2011 Bowl Games

6-3 SEC 2012 Bowl Games

7-3 SEC 2013 Bowl Games

7-5 SEC 2014 Bowl Games

9-2 SEC 2015 Bowl Games

NONE of these latest ten (10) seasons has ANY conference won MORE BOWL GAMES than SEC.

65-33 SEC Most Bowl Wins 10 years in a row before 2016-2017 bowl season.

This ALL came to an end this season as ACC has 8 bowl wins this 2016-2017 bowl season and the most The Mighty SEC can muster would be 7 if The SEC can win its 11th National Championship in the latest fourteen (14) seasons.  And The SEC can get to 7-6 this bowl season Monday Night for yet again another winning bowl record SEC 2016-2017 bowl season.

The SEC Won the national championship in football :

2003 LSU NC

2004 *Auburn NC was undefeated and consensus # 2 every poll next in line since USC vacated nc game win

2006 Florida NC

2007 LSU NC

2008 Florida NC

2009 Alabama NC

2010 Auburn NC

2011 Alabama NC

2012 Alabama NC

2015 Alabama NC

10 SEC National Championships in Football starting 2003

Starting 2003 season The SEC WON football national championship 10 times

Big 10 B1G Big Ten once.

ACC once.

Big XII Big 12 once.

Pac-12 has NOT won the national championship in football since 1972.

Congratulations to ACC not Big Ten for unseating The Mighty SEC in Most Bowl Wins this season with 8 when the most The SEC can muster would be 7.

I have not heard anyone try to compare that the ACC is better than The SEC but the Big Ten B1G certainly ran their mouth all season long that they were this year and you saw how that ended for them in a BIG THUD with the most embarrassing loss by Ohio State 31 to NOTHING.  Then Michigan their 3rd loss of the season and another 3rd loss by Penn State this season.  That is the Big 10 top 3 teams this season. And of course Maryland lost of the B1G and Indiana of the Big Ten lost and vols SEC beat Big 10 Nebraska 38-24 while Florida SEC beat Iowa of the Big Ten B1G Big 10 by a score of 30-3.

7 losses by B1G Big 10 Big Ten in Bowl games this season 3-7.

So thanks for the laugh Big 10 and I have to point-out that I watched every damn second of the blow-out loss 31 to nothing spanking embarrassment of the Ohio State university B1G Big Ten Big 10.

Big 10 vs. FBS Power 5 Conferences 2016-2017 season now OVER for B1G 10-12 LOSING RECORD.

This includes 1-2 vs. SEC regular season and 0-2 in Bowl Games NOW OVER for B1G. 1-4 season record vs. SEC for the Big 10.

Therefore for all the big mouths of the Big 10 bragging THEY were better than The SEC they were NOT. Now were they ?

ACC was better than The SEC this 2016-2017 season and ACC has a chance to unseat The Mighty SEC in NC Game Monday night leaving The down SEC with only 10 N.C. in the latest 14 years while the ACC could gain its 2nd NC in 14 years.

Or The SEC Alabama can beat Clemson Monday night and become NC for the 11th time in 14 tries Monday night for The SEC.

Georgia won its 30th bowl game for 3rd Most All-Time and currently is ranked # 2 nationally in recruiting 2017 while losing only Isaiah McKenzie expecting therefore to be a Top 10 team 2017. We’ll see.

SEC dominates in NC bowl games won revenue attendance recruiting NFL players fans merchandise Super Bowls media coverage sportswriters social media party schools hottest student bodies weather TV coverage ESPN employees clicks stories College Football Play-Offs blogs and The SEC has 11 of the top college football programs are SEC teams too.

So to put this to rest about B1G Big 10 Big Ten is better than The Mighty SEC 2016-2017 season then that is just a total lie.  B1G Big 10 Big Ten is great is just a myth  A Big Lie but is aptly named B1G Big Ten because 4 of their teams never play football worth a hoot.  Way to embarrass yourselves on the big stage Ohio State Penn State and Michigan.  31 to nothing.  Spanking.  Blow-out.  These are your 3 best teams.  One gets spanked whose coach says you can’t win the NC if you did not win your conference 31 to nothing.  And the other 2 drop their 3rd loss of the season in a conference of nobodies.   A conference who runs their mouth they are better than The SEC and then pulls THIS again this season.    You can’t beat your way out of a wet paper bag.  None of you Big Ten and you KNOW IT.

We show you every year.  Everyone shows you every year.
