Kirby personally offered the legacy whose dream it is to play for The Bulldogs. He is much larger than his Dad but has his Dad’s speed anyway which is rather amazing.
I remember Greg Tremble from our seasons’ tickets.
What is the most amazing news of this TE recruit who frankly has the ups and speed to play wide receiver for us ? His 36” vertical leap ? That his Dad moved to Johns Creek ? That he is 6’ 4” tall 218 lbs. when his Dad is 5’ 11” and 188 lbs. ?
No. It’s that they both run 4.67 in the 40-yard dash.
Either that or that Kirby is the ONLY COACH to offer him a scholarship. Butch Jones vols gave him a scholarship but not by Butch Jones. Brian Kelly Notre Dame gave him an offer but not by Brian Kelly.
Just imagine 14 offers including UGA vols and Notre Dame and only Kirby has met with him and offered him a scholarship. What do they do mail it to him ? Tweet it to him ? FedEx it to him ? e-mail it to him ? Call and chat while in traffic and offer him a scholarship there ? How lame Butch Jones. Desperate there aren’t you Butch Jones ?
Which did you do Mike Bobo ? What a fool you are Mike Bobo. Afraid to come here and offer him yourself have someone do it for you Mike Bobo ?
“Yes I am going to play for Butch Jones and vols or Colorado State and Mike Bobo but I haven’t been offered by EITHER. I guess I want to play for Butch Jones or Mike Bobo. I mean they did BOTH offer me a scholarship. Well THEY didn’t but someone at their school did. I can’t wait to play for Butch Jones or Mike Bobo.”
All 14 offers of scholarship to this academic scholar and highly-sought after receiver TE special teams’ stand-out are from nothing but dumbasses except for Kirby the only one who offered him a scholarship personally.
I sold a huge big new account in Marco Island Florida. I bought a brand new Camry got in my car drove there 700 miles South on I-75 demonstrated it to the owner on a computer I built and I programmed myself. I asked for the check for the 1st half. I told them we would order their system new for delivery the next morning. I told them our technicians would install it the next day. I did not know them from Adam. I set the appointment myself with the owner. The purpose of my contact was to set the appointment. I knew they were looking for a computer system. We put techs in their trucks and installed it the next day paying for overnight delivery. They are a great customer. The system is working well. They knew exactly what they were getting specifically when they would get it and how long it would last. They love it. I have made 6600 such sales to owners just like this. Some of my sales are bigger than others but I hold one in my hand and close it. I went to bed after buying the Camry. I woke up in the middle of the night and drove straight there. I arrived an hour early. I filled-up with gas washed my face and put my tie and coat on. I was unable to make it all the way back to Dunwoody but I got close and had to get a hotel. I was at work on time the next day.
Recruiting is exactly sales and the person doing the sales must get in their car and go there. Jesus Christ. What a story. I made $ 4200 commissions a week later when I drove back and got the check for the second half on Monday. I also get a salary retirement expense report mileage benefits free trips training an office any computer I ever want and all the coffee I can drink along with all the supplies in the office.
Kirby is a really fine recruiter. He has all the sales skills. All of them. This is Sales 101. All I can say to Butch Jones and Mike Bobo is that I would not let you sell for me. You neither understand recruiting.
That does not work Butch Jones and Mike Bobo. You can not qualify a prospect on the telephone nor remotely. If you think you want the sale put forth the proper sales strategy. This is a big indictment of both Butch Jones and of Mike Bobo. Anyone SHOULD know this. Anyone reading it spelled-out certainly sees. Right ?
Maybe I could teach Butch Jones and Mike Bobo but I would rather put shit on BOTH.
No wonder they NEITHER can recruit. I know recruiting reporters who don’t even ever ask the prospect. Well have you MET him even this coach you’re going to play for for the next 4 or 5 years ?
What poor salesmen.
People buy from people then they justify their decision with all types of reasons why. It’s only natural.
