Completion percentage is nice and Justin Fields has the higher percentage 79% completions to Jake From 72 % completions; but the most important passing factor is making something happen in that passing play. Jake Fromm fumbles the ball sometimes twice every game and he gets sacked 3 or 4 times a game too. These are because he is not the athlete that Justin Fields is.
THIS is why Kirby plays Justin Fields EVERY game.
I am frankly disappointed that our offense is susceptible to an average defense. It’s because we’re not getting these young guys enough touches.
If you want to win in college football, then recruiting rankings are not nearly as important as ACTUALLY PLAYING THOSE GUYS.
This remains a weakness for Kirby and this blog has detailed the freshmen that Kirby has HELD BACK every year all 3 years so far. It is also disturbing that coaches Kirby included resort to grabbing their players. If you can not make your point telling them – then don’t prove that you don’t know how to communicate by grabbing the player. The Juniors and Seniors need a good grab as much as the freshmen. Playing them over the freshmen doesn’t insure that they don’t get a bonehead penalty or ineffective play.
Still keep your hands OFF my players or anyone else’s players.
Do not criticize Jimbo Fisher for grabbing his player’s facemask on the same day Kirby grabbed our player himself.
Relying on QB ratings that do NOT take into account fumbles and sacks is not nearly as important as actually making something happen on the said passing play.
As opposed to having unwanted failures of the QB. Too many needless sacks holding on to the football too long and fumbling then too are unwanted failures of the QB. If you’re unable to use QB ratings to see that then yank him over Justin Fields and watch what I am saying.
You tell him and give him consequences.
Jake Fromm should be facing those consequences when the starter for the next game is chosen.
Too many fumbles too many sacks not enough making something happen.
# 48 in penalty yards is not acceptable for an elite team and neither is Jake Fromm over Justin Fields.
This Passing Offense of # 76 is NOT GOOD.
With all the talent on this team # 90 Total Offense Jake Fromm is UNACCEPTABLE.
Did you hear me ?
Justin Fields has completed 78% of his passes while Jake Fromm is 72% and it’s Jake who fumbles gets sacked and can’t run the ball as an option compared to Justin Fields.
Justin Fields and Jake Fromm have equivalent numbers of carries this year but Justin Fields averages 9 yards per carry while Jake Fromm averages minus 2 yards per carry with 5 fumbles and been sacked 7 times.
Jake Fromm is not in the right play call. If he were he wouldn’t have so many fumbles and sacks. Jake Fromm is not executing the play calls as well as Justin Fields.
5 of our 7 fumbles are Jake Fromm fumbling the ball standing there by himself and fumbling himself and he does not get after them when he does like a top athlete does to get it back himself.
No Jake Fromm is NOT a better QB than Justin Fields.
